Gears of War Forever, thank you for watching! This video doesn't feature Dom's death or other sad moments since those will be in another video coming soon Twitter: twitter.com/KingAbzTV Patreon: www.patreon.com/KingAbz
Yea honestly when Marcus said "He made RAAM look like a push over" in gears 2 I laugh to myself at how easy Skorge was as well. Whished they kept RAAM alive for one more game as the Big villain then the queen. But hey who knows with the swarm and stuff his dead corpse could be transformed into the swarm along with his battle knowledge.
Wow this ranking was spot on. Really invokes some powerful emotions. I just re-visited Gears UE and did an insane playthrough. Made me want a remaster for 2 and 3 that much more. This storyline has been a crazy journey for sure. Forever my favorite series.
My favorite moment of all time was seeing Carmine live after Gears 3. I was unaware of the vote to save or kill him so I just thought we lost another Carmine.
@anthonydavenport1841 you helped change a kid's life man lol. Carmine living in Gears 3 made me love these games even more than I already did. I was a Mortal Kombat guy (and still am) but Gears 3 made Gears of War my favorite franchise ever.
Some honourable mentions I would consider would be as follows: The introduction to Queen Myrrah and the boss fight with Skorge and the Hydra chase in Gears 2 Hoffman joining Delta in Jacinto's last stand in Gears 2 The Berserker on the train in Gears 1 The Defence of Anvil Gate/Introduction of The Lambent Beserker in Gears 3 Cole Train reliving his thrashball flashbacks in Gears 3 The Locust crashing the Kilo Squad trial in Gears Judgment The flashback sequences in Gears 4 Reuniting with Marcus and regearing up in Gears 4 Kait finding out the truth about her lineage in Gears 5/Matriarch fight So many more I could think of. So many great moments!!
Lollll I understand how you feel my friend took me many many tries before getting it was many years ago but still remember the day like yesterday gears 1 2 3 and juggernaut were my childhood lol
-Marcus Fenix carried out the most important operation during the Pendulum Wars (in Aspho Fields), by obtaining the Hammer of Dawn technology, that then ended the 79 year long war. -He killed the second-in-command of the Locust, General Raam. -He successfully obtained mapping data of the Hollow and successfully deployed the Lightmass Bomb. -He killed the next Locust second-in-command, Skorge. -He hijacked a Locust Brumak, then sank Jacinto before the Locust army could escape and to do it themselves. -He took down the Tempest beetle. -He defended his father, Adam Fenix. Thereby, allowing the Imulsion Countermeasure Weapon to be activated, which killed all of the Lambent, as well as defeated all of the Locust. -He was the one who, finally, killed the Locust queen, Myrrah. WHY IS HE STILL A SERGEANT WITHOUT A COUPLE DOZEN OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS MEDALS!!!!!!!? It is true that Marcus did disobey orders to defend his father, which resulted in the COG losing an extremely costly battle. Even so, he already more than made up for that during the Lightmass Offensive in the events of the first Gears of War game.
Marcus had earned the Gears equivalent to the Medal of Honor for his actions at Ashpo Fields. But if you read the books he just wants to be a normal, run of the muck grunt. He just wants to do his job and be a part of something. His father was the primer scientist in the gears world, he could have gotten Marcus a commission before he enlisted but MARCUS didn’t want it. Marcus even buries his medals with Doms brother Carlos
Excellent video. the games are so cinematic that's what I love about them. Agreed. Skorge makes a helluva entrance! I would say all the other ones I agree with, but I don't wanna turn my comment into an essay. 😂 Let's just say I agree with all of these.
Wow... as the youngling tend to say ' this gave me the feels'. Also, the memory of the makers of this franchise offering 'if Carmine survives ' and what us the fans voted... Great video, King Abz. I'm a fairly recent subscriber but very happy I did.
have you ever given any thought to what if the UIR had won against the COG and how the indies would have handled e-day? An interesting thought and would love to see a vid on your opinion on how that would have went.
Great vid Abz, can’t believe great content like this is still being made on gears of war. Something about gears UE just feels so off to me though, I think the gears 1 cutscenes have a better atmosphere to them.
You know, I'm probably super late to realize this, but it just clicked when I saw the clip at about 28:23 that Marcus has been fighting for so long he basically instinctually picked his Lancer back up as if to continue fighting but then looked down to realize he no longer had to and the war was over. Once he realized that he didn't just drop it, he threw it away and started ripping his armor off. It gives me the feeling that he wasn't a warrior because he wanted to be but because he had to be to protect what he cared about.
I’d love an extras scene after the credits in Gear of War E-Day that shows Myrrah and Skorge’s reaction to Cole’s ‘message’ and Myrrah says something like “Oh how amusing.”
To think if Marcus and Dom managed to get out of the drill lift we’d have probably been able to save Tai. But it also makes me wonder how Dizzy survived.
a great gameplay moment i'd like to mention is in Gears 3 where you're rescuing Adam Fenix, specifically when you're in the corridor with the troika turret that you can use to mow down a bunch of locust as the Gears theme plays. It didn't have to be a badass scene but i damn remember it as one.
Been busy lately so haven't caught your last few videos. Although all of these moments are memorable, it's great to be reminded of them, A well-chosen moment with a mix of excitement, emotionally driven scenes and slightly subtler moments like the speech. Subtle might not be the most appropriate word but it has a different feel to the rest of the clips. Nice vid.
I enjoyed this video very much! Thanks for sharing! Just one thing. I think the most memorable scene ever was the scene where Dom found Maria. Invoked so much emotion. I think it should have been included despite it being extremely depressing.
Well this is my favorite moments from Gears of War Cole Train's Glory years Killing the Rift Worm Skorge Using the Lancer Hammer of Dawn in Gears of War 2
Dom end of Gears 1: So what are we doing tomorrow? Anya end of Gears 3: We finnaly have a tomorrow (Bow chka wow wow music performed in the style of gears orchestra) 9mo Later..JD is born
While it's a shame the other games in the series couldn't make the cut, I agree with your choices here! These were the best moments in the franchise's history. Most memorable, influential, and emotional! Maybe an honorable mention video? 👀
I prefer the OG's version of RAAM's entrance. He stared Kim in the eyes as his life was ending, and was far less animated which made him seem cold and focused. Kim was his objective, not Marcus.
I wish skorge showed up instead of myrrah at the end of ultimate edition like the first was supposed to be. That would've been amazing to see skorge remastered and it would've been lore accurate considering skorge knew raam would die and we only had one game with him.
I think it’s because Gears UE at the time used the starting point of the GOW 1 engine while borrowing assets of the GOW 3 model for Myrrah to match the modern fidelity.
Gears 2 was by far my favourite, it was the one I grew up having a disc of, playing with my mates and felt like it was the prime part of the storyline, all the characters at this point from gears 1 were grizzled vets getting replacements in and the story for it was legendary, gears 3 was tragic and I don't reallu like talking about the newer games, they dont hit home for me, thats just my opinion, not that their bad games, just missed playing as the OG Delta squad.
Honestly they should’ve just ended the story after gears 3. Gears 4 & 5 were decent games, but that storyline felt completely unneccesary. It felt like a desperate attempt to keep the series going
Do you want to do the Resistance 3 you forgot it after the resistance 2 game and the whole thing about the Chimera weapons video I still understand why RU-vid doesn't the idea of it
I see this and flick me out what it's doing what I heard a smell of a hell us. I'm freaked out and what and of course, I'm dying of this. I'm f****** shard, it's darker,
Hmm wonder why neither Judgement nor the Collation games. Hmm perched perchance perhaps there's a reason. (Cough cough not nearly as good as the trilogy cough.)
Me too, but that's why I love them so much. I'm just glad the game only ever throws one at you at a time, imagine having to fight 3 in an enclosed space
I know I am annoying about the Chimera weapons video, Resistance 3, metro , Warhammer and halo and killzone game you could just tell me to stop because I know I am annoying
@@whimsicalman ok but we don't know when and we don't know what it will as I'm expecting RU-vid next move there RU-vid employees and boss I must assholes
I agree with this all and the ending of 3 is my top favourite and should have been where the story ends. The rest should have been about the locusts side of the war and before that. That would have been an amazing way to reveal the locusts origins in my opinion. I actually came up with a rough campaign and chapters that you have to play through to go further into the 3rd games ending.
