Joanie Mitchell's first album, Creedence, Stones, class albums, Chicago, Earth Wind Fire, Santan...these are all better than at least half of those presented here...many others, too numerous to name...

I think you're missing Santans supernatural. You can add guns and roses, and sub Doors album with LA Woman. You could squeeze in a serialistic pillow, and you'd get no arguments from me.

Aerosmith - Get Your Wings - the start of something that kept our attention for years Michael Jackson - Off the Wall was better IMO than Thriller. It is just more listenable and didn't need any videos. Heart - Dreamboat Annie and Bad Animals Chicago - pick any of the older ones Steely Dan - The Royal Scam and Aja I could go on and on....

Great list, but it does show the critics' blind spots. Guns N Roses "Appetite For Destruction" is the best selling debut of all time, yet with very little radio play and promotion compared to their counterparts on the video. A 54 minute 12 song masterpiece.. Second, Boston self titled first album, being the 2nd best selling debut ever. Neither had any mediocre filler tracks. The listeners got an epic full album they could listen to straight through.
