I love how the Ultra Luxe is usually very formal but in the case of winning too much they are the most rude and straight up tell you to leave immediately

Casinos: "Nooooo the house always wins!" High luck courrier: "This game was rigged from the start"

-earns all the caps from every casino -sells all the energy weapons from the Silver Rush, lets the bomber guy in after to loot all of their corpses -Exploits all the gold bars from the Sierra Madre -ranks up barter to 100 and gets every speech/barter perks -congratulations, you just skipped 90% of the game's difficulty. have fun with the Bozar at level 7

Breaking the Sierra Madre is like pulling a cheatcode because of the amount of stimpaks and .308 ammo that you get

My favorite build of all time in New Vegas will always be the lucky idot build. 1 intelligence and 10 luck make for a fun time. I nickname it "The Forest Gump Experience" build. I also include a 10 agility with that.

I will stand by 10 luck to begin with. It's literally the best strat for early game. Get all sorts of crazy loot, crits every time, and infinite caps

You get like 100000 caps worth of Pre war currency from the madre casino. The gold bars are heavy but Pre-War money ways nothing, and it’s easy to break down. But you have to save the gold for very expensive purchases. It’s also difficult to get the gold out without something like Turbo.

I have 700 hours in this game (that’s not counting my ps3 hours). And I just today found out vikki and Vance could be re-opened. I’m such a sick fuck I’d almost always shoot Jonathan after he made me pay for the info for the ncrcf quest so maybe that’s why.

I usually go for 8 or 7 Luck. Because by the time I make it to Mick & Ralph’s I can pick up the Naughty Nightwear in their secret room inside the cage, and by the time I gather enough money I can purchase the Luck implant.

The last play through I had was a max luck/crit, it’s unbelievable how fast you make money and kill enemies. Plus you never run out of ammo. Luck is a broken stat in NV

For you penny pinchers out there - 8 luck is enough. The "probability calculator" from the New Vegas Clinic adds +1 to luck as does the "Naughty Nightwear". Both are easily obtainable within the first hours of gameplay. Go rob those casinos and spend two points somewhere else ;) (And yes, I know about the "Lucky Shades", but these are far harder to get your hands on) Not the fastest, but most efficient and interesting way: Do some early starter quests, level up and get some gear to make your way to New Vegas (no need to exploit the invisible cazador route or other shenanigans...). Just enjoy the game. Do Primm, wait a week somewhere else, return, defeat the mercenaries, go away and wait a week, return and rob the V&V blind. Maybe get your hands on ratkiller early on and then proceed to New Vegas. Go to Mick & Ralph's, get the Naughty Nightwear and head over to the Atomic Wrangler. Rob them blind! Congratulations, you are now officially rich. Make your way to New Vegas Clinic, slap 4k caps on the table and get the probability calculator. Head back to the strip, pay the 2k entrance fee to the strip (not because you have to, but because you CAN) or, if you are dirt cheap, use the bloody monorail. Don't use the king to get on the strip, you need his boon later on in the game! From then on it's just gambling until you are so f****ng rich that nothing matters anymore. And by the time you are broke again, because you spend everything on exotic weapons, well - there is still the Sierra Madre, isn't it.

honestly I could see the argument for not allowing 10 luck on certain challenge runs simply because it's so easy to become so rich you never need to worry about caps again. Just by doing the casinos you can easily get like 80k caps and just never have to worry about being unable to buy stims or food or water ever again it's kind of insane

Luck is 100% the best stat in New Vegas. If a dealer dealt me two 10’s in blackjack I would always hit because I knew the game would force an Ace to give me 21 lol

I usually set luck to 9 and endurance at 9. When I make enough I grab the the luck implant first to max it out then it’s pretty much smooth sailing from there.

i’m on my first play through of any fallout game, and i felt SO seen when i actually won real money at the casino😂 usually games limit you way harder than new vegas so i was absolutely thrilled to stack up bread in new vegas playing blackjack🤣 i knew picking 10 luck would pay off somehow LOL
