The Yamaha xsr 125 does not use the CP2 engine, it uses the YI-3 engine, same engine as the MT-125. The CP2 is a 700 cc crossplane twin that sits in the Yamaha XSR 700, MT-07, Tenere 700 and the R7
The lack of decent "cruiser" 125 motorbike offerings from Japan is very disappointing. Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki no longer make Rebels, VT shadows, viragos, eliminators and Intruders. No, if you want a brand new 125 Cruiser, you are stuck with Keeway, and while they may not be bad bikes...I'd rather have a Honda than a keeway. Especially if you can afford it.
Chinese brands are squashing the compeition in 2022 cheaper 125cc with added rear disk brakes as standard. Knocks Yamaha YS and Honda CB125F rear drum brakes out of the water.
These people designing these bikes must not have ever rode one down a dirt or gravel road! The front fender is to low to the tire! One small piece of rock, gravel or anything will get hung between the tire and fender and it's gonna be a bad wreck! Dumb Dumb design!
These bikes are mainly made only for the streets and have the old cafe racer/scrambler look just because people like these retro looking bikes. None of them could even withstand offroad capabilities due to the shocks being made for street use etc
@@waylonswaycraps Yes, i suggest reading some info on some of these bikes like for example the fantic caballero. Purely for street use and the frame would probably snap in half if taken into offroad terrain
