BSO in 2:56 minutes, with "original" SKR pico, 24 V and 2.0 A driver current.
CPAP cooling with printed turbo and drone motor, rotates with 12 V 30000 revolutions at 4.7 A.
Print head without cold end fan, it is not needed and is unnecessary ballast... ;-)
I would like to thank Matt for the absolutely great project THE 100, TheForgetfulDev for the outstanding construction instructions, voidfoo for the ultra-compact print head and Volgger for the unrelenting motivation to keep going in the speedboat race.
My THE 100 will soon get HULA hip swing elements, maybe I can still find a few seconds... ;-)

It's really amazing how good the quality is. Usually at these speeds the outside wall looks a lot worse. Even for those who don't understand. This printer was run at 24V, which is an extremely painful process to get to where Stuart is, really, really good work! Keep going!

Hello Matt, thank you very much for the flowers. I'm looking forward to the T250, I've already thought of a color scheme...🙂

@@3DStuart-kf4gg He is right, great job! Yet you still have a long way to go to make an actually usable part at such speeds. Godspeed with that, fun pun intended. :) I very much hope you suceed.

@@noreply5461 Thank you. Yes, you're right, but who would have thought some time ago that today you could print a usable benchy in 10 minutes...

It's a benchy hit at the transition point from spaghetti to boat. LOL. Hey incredible speed. My seven year old flashforge would disintegrate itself at this acceleration.

Yes, everything is at the limit... What's amazing is that the printed frame made of PLA can withstand it...

How quickly can you do a pot? You wouldn't have to worry about stringing and maybe a smoth motion will allow you to print out super quick pots :D

Holly cow . Stupid question . At what max speed you can make good looking print ?
@3DStuart-kf4gg
@3DStuart-kf4gg 3 месяца назад
To be honest, I haven't tried that with this printer yet. I haven't activated IS yet... I've just converted the printer to maximum speed at the moment. I will soon switch back to the normal CHC pro and normal component cooling. In the original configuration, printing at 200 mm/s was perfect, with IS you can do more...👍

you might as well just extrude the amount of filament in grams that weights a benchy you know, without moving the head... same result.
@3DStuart-kf4gg

That would be extremely boring if nothing moved...😂

@3DStuart-kf4gg
@3DStuart-kf4gg 3 месяца назад
The K2max is an extremely interesting printer, do you also have the CFS? Are you happy with it so far? You won't be able to do a BSO in 3 minutes, but maybe a good looking one in 10 minutes, that's not bad either.👍
@freedomofmotion
@freedomofmotion 3 месяца назад
@@3DStuart-kf4gg Sorry I've got the anycubic k2max so no CFS! I've managed a 15 minute benchy at 300mms but I would have to put accelerations at 10k for it to go faster than 300 and I just don't think the Y axis can manage it ( print bed is 420x420) So 300mms at 5k acceleration is the best I can hope for. Still though it is tempting to tune it to stupid speeds just because it is massive and it would be fun.
@3DStuart-kf4gg
@3DStuart-kf4gg 3 месяца назад
@@freedomofmotion A Kobra2max is a big monster, with low accelerations you won't achieve high speeds with the small benchy. Read about what you can achieve with the Kobra with IS, then it will go faster...
@freedomofmotion
@freedomofmotion 3 месяца назад
@@3DStuart-kf4gg Well anycubic do state it can do 10k acceleration but their own slicer profile isn't set to 10k so I'm guessing they done that for a very good reason. ( Set to 5k in anycubic slicer and 2.5k in their orca slicer profile) I could see it doing 10k on the X axis but 10k on Y would be mad.
