How now fans of chow…I know I said the next video would take place somewhere else, but having been hard at graft for many weeks now, I thought I’d earned a bit of a Five Guys fill up before I hit the road in search of a restaurant challenge on Thursday. As an American, I'm thinking, "No one can eat a hundred pounds of food. That's impossible." And then I was like.. "OOOOOOOH... £100.00 of food." That makes much more sense.
How does anyone complain about a FRESH double bacon cheeseburger for $10..... also a small fry from 5 guys is literally the equivalent of a large at McDonald’s, if not more. The price is totally fair based on quantity and quality. Plus unlimited toppings??? Come on. Find me another chain that doesn’t charge for extra cheese 🤷♂️ is everyone complaining like 13 years old and have a shit allowance!? 😭

@@dadang1514 5 burgers at $10 each is $50 already then 3 hotdogs at like $4-$5/each that’s like $15 so your already at $65 with out tax then 3 large fries that are $5 each that puts you at $80 and then he got 4 milk shakes at $5 each so that’s $100 and a grilled cheese in there to lol it was a lot of good for $100
@@maximillianmus4273 I understand that I used USD because it was easier for me to be able to explain it but I used the prices as what it would be in GBP so the pricing for the items are close to correct but the symbol used to represent the money was wrong so I apologize I guess lol
When people say five guys is an expensive McDonalds I just stand open mouthed in disbelief. Their food is so nice. It’s expensive but the food is consistently beautiful.
@davidv.8655 five guys is sooo far above mcdonalds that it's not even fair to compare and I've worked at both. I knso exactlythe menus and the quality if ingredients. It's totally different

I remember ordering lunches regularly from the original Five Guys location in Virginia before the restaurant sold franchises. There was a bakery in the same strip shopping center and all of the buns were bake daily there for Five Guys - YUM!!
me too, they were my go to after calc class at the CC the original was a lot better then the modern corporate version. the burgers were so greasy the only thing holding them together was the aluminum foil , good times.
Hello Mr Beard can you please do a ‘Colin the Caterpillar’ challenge. You could eat a caterpillar cake from every store or try and eat as many Colin merch as possible from m&s.
I can eat two Five Guys double cheeseburgers and a large fries in one sitting without struggling much, but damn it's a lot of food. What he does here is just bonkers. I really didn't think he was going to be able to do it. Clearly I haven't watched enough of his videos!
Meanwhile a Regular Fries and Double Bacon Chee is enough to sustain me for a whole day. Also reminds me of one time where my Five Guys was quiet. I only ordered a little burger and fries cause I wasn't SUPER hungry. The person in front of me cancelled their order but the patties were already on the grill, so save tossing them, I was upgraded to a TRIPLE BACON CHEESE for free.
Sounds like you're facing some tough times. If you need to take out a loan for some moderately priced food, perhaps your better choice would be to take the ~$15 you'd spend on a meal and use it for a bunch of rice and beans at your local supermarket. I know it's not the tastiest thing around, but it's a great way to stretch a few dollars into quite a few filling meals!
I was amazed at how much food there was, they must have given a mega discount. The last time I had a 5 guys a burger, chips and drink wasn't far off £100.

@@Beardmeatsfood it is prohibitively expensive if you have a normal 9-5 job in COVID times. Why not compare how many meals you get at 5 guys to Maccy D. I am not a fan of either but it is absurdly expensive

Adam onions on the hot dog, yes sir count me in. That’s the way I have always eaten mine. It’s outstanding flavor. Not tried the peanut butter on bacon cheese burger, I will try it. Thanks for sharing.

I've been dipping my fries in milkshakes for the better part of about 40 years now, there is no other way to eat them! Wow this is impressive!!! Im lucky to finish a meal from there. My hero!

My best memory of visiting a 5 guys is the teenager walking past the bag of potatoes and pulling out a frozen bag of pre-cut fries to dump into the deep fryer.
I used to work at five guys and I can’t even get down a double cheeseburger and fries without dying! Also, five guys is super critical about their process and what they allow so I was surprised they did the peanut butter. I had someone come in and ask for one and almost got in trouble for making one haha
Had some funky brownies in 2007 and went to McDonald's. Discovered the fries in Milkshake trick because I was high and I thought I was the only one. Only to find out that everyone has done it at least once.
Nice to see you guys got one of the greatest American delicacies on your side of the pool! The original location is an hour north of me in Arlington, VA.
Before I changed my diet 5 years ago, 5 guys was my favorite fast food chain. In South Florida we have BurgerFi as well which has gone down hill, but it used to be on par with 5 Guys.
You're right about those dogs. Totally underrated. Most people just stick with the burgers, because let's face it- they're clearly the best. But those hot dogs are very, very filling! Not sure if it's the same in the UK, but they typically overload the fries in the bag here in the US, so that's why I always order a 'small'. (They place the full fries box into the bag, then COVER that sucker with more of those freshly cut potatoes!) Incidentally, I happened to be in London back in 2014 when they opened their first location in Islington. People were lined up down the block!
I agree with you, 5-Guys is the best fast food in America, too. Great burgers and the best fries, good milk shakes. I only wish they had chili dogs. I love chili dogs with cheese and onion.
so damn expensive though. just checked. bacon cheeseburger: $12.69. regular fry: $6.19. $18.88 before tax. and i never seem to get this extra scoop of fries

Whoa… I usually watch your videos on my phone while I’m cooking or cleaning. This morning I was doing both. I walked out of the kitchen for just a second and right before your timer went off. I literally ran back into the kitchen when the timer went off because I thought my smoke alarm went off. The timer so loud… I thought there was a fire in my kitchen! Lol!
I like 5 guys too but I’m looking forward to the day you do an In-N-Out challenge. I think you’ll find their burgers fantastic as well. Remember to order off the secret menu when you do. Perhaps when you’re in Las Vegas. Then you can also go to The Heart Attack Grill 👍.
