Not sure if this was mentioned in the comments already, but just a little further on from where you get the Cinquedea dagger you can find the Dragoncrest Shield talisman
It's likely Radahn also mastered Gravity Magic so he could help his cat out... which is kinda weird. 'The Long Tail Cat' is a piece of cut content, the only aspect of it which made it do release is the Long Tail Cat Talisman, which prevents non-lethal fall damage. Nevertheless it was made in the likeness of his favorite cat which he likely enchanted with gravity magic so it could jump to the top of the Erdtree and shit like that.
I actually found the Fire Monk Ashes on my very first playthrough and used it to kill Rykard. Not that it can really do too much damage to Rykard, but thx to its insane Fire Resistance (or even immunity?) the Fire Monk can distract Rykard for almost the whole fight.
@@Michael-cb3uw I didnt use summons a lot in my first playthrough and never ever used them ever again in my other playthroughs. I always play completely blind on my first playthroughs in Souls Games. Its a great experience - and in ER Spirit Ashes contribute to that Experience.
The last secret I found was the golem laying off the cliff in Calid by the minor erdtree. Getting down those branches is still unnerving, especially after getting killed and needing to do it multiple times.
Yes, this guy should have been on the list. Not only is he hidden and hard to get to but he’s the only golem in the game that uses magic attacks. I think he has 40 or 50 thousand HP too. Lastly another secret is that Alexander can not only give you his shard when you defeat him but he can also give you a completely different shard that’s less powerful if you defeat him at any other me before the crumbling city. It has a diff name and image associated with it.
Isn't that one hinted at by one of the paintings you can pick up though? So not as secret as any of these because the game does specifically point you to it. I didn't know a single thing on this list but I found that Golem due to the painting
Hey Dom, I saw an odd sight. If you cast Terra Magica near a Wormface, they just stare at it. I casted it, attack one, and when I ran away to heal, it just stared at the sigil on the floor.
I didn't know about the poor scrawny horse. I thought it was hilarious he rode such a small horse, but didn't read into the lore enough to piece it together. That is good lore. I also knew about the invisible bridge, but not the hidden wall and silver scarab there too... so thanks for that.
I have 1,500+ hours in Elden Ring and two of those were new to me, the skull in Caelid and room in Ray Lucaria , Thanks for the continued effort in Elden Ring. The DLC should give us more great content to this fantastic game.
this is the first video i've seen from you (12 Most Missable Secrets) and i already love this channel, great content keep it up. youre doing amazing don't ever doubt yourself.
Wow! Thank you so much for your Super Thanks! It means a huge amount 😁 I'm glad you've loved the content so much you thought it was worth a super thanks! 😍
@@DomsRoundtable of course :] i want to support the channel and you clearly spend a lot of time on these videos. also ive watched a few more of your videos and i love it, keep going!
I didn't knew about the runearc in hogwards! that's pretty well hidden for no reason. My guess is that room used to contain something of more worth as is a pretty elaborated room and a really clever hideout for a mere runearc. I also didn't knew WHERE you got the Cinquadea, I did knew about that dagger but not where you got from. Thanks.
Been playing for 800 hours and have only missed maybe 4-5 of these, mostly due to your other videos and other content creators like yourself. But finding anything new that I've missed is rare and you've manged to get a good handful in here so good video and very informative
Great video! The leonard lore portion. I always thought it was fitting for him. Radhan is the epitomy of someone who doesnt like change. Its why he stopped the stars (if I've understood this lore correctly 😅). By stopping the stars he stopped everyone's fates, ensuring no change can occur without great effort. All that to say, I can see why he would refuse to leave Leonard behind.
Its inplied he stopped the "stars" (they arent actual stars), because they contained the creatures we fight during rannis quest and in too of mt gilmir. Night and day still happens and time still passes. We know they arent real stars because they crash into limgrave and dont literally destroy the planet lol. Anyway, again, its heavily imied they were battleing some sort of invasion, or passive invasion etc.
I literally discovered this yesterday there’s a hidden tunnel if you take the lift behind the grace site forbidden lands and in this hidden tunnel there’s an outfit and a weapon I had never even heard of before. This game is incredible
Didn't know about the Radahn lore so your mission is complete. Held off on picking up Elden Ring bc with work, caring for my son, chickens, dog, tortoise, hamster, and husband, I have very little time to game. Chores been suffering since Elden ring started though! Thanks so much for the guides! I wouldn't have time to find these on my own! ❤️
Fire monk ashes work really well in Caelid and against enemies weak to fire. They don’t have a ton of hp but they rarely stagger to your standard enemies but they fall short on speedy enemies. They shine in staggering
Did you know, there is small secret are in the shunning grounds? It's in the room where you can get hugged by tree fingers. It's behind the secret room with the chest. But there is nothing important. It just connects this area with deeproot depths. I don't remamber you covering it in any of your videos, but sorry if I just missed it.
Thank you so much for your Super Thanks!! Really sorry I didn't thank you sooner, I must have missed the notification 😩 but thank you again, it means a huge amount 😁
Didn't know about the hidden smithing stones, pretty useful as I'm doing a new run through with a fresh build. Edit. I didn't know about the gravity magic to protect Radahns horse! Didn't know gollums were affected by crystal darts...
I didn't know about a few of these after 700 hours. It baffles me how I continue to learn of a few different things/items each time I run through the Lands Between.
I tried to do as much of the game as I could, without googling or watching any videos. But when I did need help, it was your videos alone that got me through. Thank you, good sir, for your wonderful work!
Started a new playthrough before the DLC and recently found 2 things I'd never seen before (I imagine they're common knowledge to most) 1. In Raya Lucaria the hidden passage to get to the graven school talisman 2. Below stormveil castle the area with the tree spirit and the prince of deaths pustule talisman Still find it crazy how you can discover new things on each and every playthrough
Thank you so much for all the videos! They have helped me through Elden Ring numerous times (5 now to be exact 🙌⚔) Keep up the incredible content! Now let me go and find these more incredible hidden discoveries 😁
It can sometimes take more than a couple of hours to reply to a comment, there are many things I need to juggle in my day-to-day and I have an intensely busy schedule. I've also just got back from spending a couple of nights away to spend some time with the dog and the family, because I haven't had a single day off for months.
Thank you so much for the Super Thanks and the kind words you legend! I'm super happy how much it's helped, the thing I love most about this job is being able to help people, it's genuinely the only motivator in my life, so it means a lot to hear this ❤️
I have put over 1600 hours into this game and I was sure nothing would be new info to me, but I never knew crystal darts could frenzy some types of enemies. My mind got blown, good job man!
Didn't know the Raya Lucaria rune edge, didn't know Golems were short-circuitable, and haven't experienced the Torrent glitch. Nice vid! I'm surprised to have not seen the magma blade that the man-serpents drop (very rarely) on here. Also fun little bit of trivia, I'm pretty sure the Cinqueda is the weapon that Gurranq uses in the two fights that he is included in.
I want to throw some props your way. Your uploads are always full of good content and very very little else but more importantly (to me at least) is that your content is always well explained and presented in a manner that is just enjoyable for the viewers. By far my favorite content creator. The energy you put into creating these videos is very apparent and appreciated. My words mean no more than the next person but you're awesome man, keep up the stellar work you do. Best to ya man!!
Gonna be honest, you got me on the very first entry. On my first run, I was so frustrated looking for a Sombre+7 and the best result that fextralife had at the time was one in the Volcano manor. This is a lifesaver for future playthroughs.
@@Frankey420 rough, I didn't have my listening ears on I guess. Just picked it up today, definitely regular. *But* I still had no idea they were up there haha
8:56 You're so right, this is refreshing, especially for a Soulsborne game.. Besides Astorias leaving his shield for Sif in the Abyss, it's pretty much just chaos & suffering. Thanks for highlighting this👍👍
I recently came across a bug with the Knight's Calvary that spawns near the Church of Dragon Communion in Caelid. I killed it's mount as it respawned from going too far outside the battle area and the Knight itself, kept respawning, attempting to mount its dead horse, and falling to its feet. It did this and I was still able to vanquish them, but it was quite an odd little bug as I was doing damage while it phased in and out repeatedly. Not sure if anyone else has come across this, but figured here may be a neat place to share! Thanks for the content m8. You're one of the best to do it as far as I'm concerned! Got most of what you mentioned. I completely missed the Lyndell Catacombs myself. Had no idea of it OR the items that reside until today. 200+ hours of searching and trying to find all the nuggets in my first playthrough.
Just getting into this game and I have to admit this game is awesome. I would have never known I need to smack the back end of a wall to find a hidden entrance. Why would anyone that hasn't played a game think to do that. Now I am striking every wall that I think isn't a wall. Love this video!
Some of these I found myself, especially the graveyard room in Raya Lucaria Academy, since I saw that room from the roof and figured out the wall which it was behind from that. It's always worth the effort to look around.
In the giants mountaintop cave, I accidently found the second part of the lift and then spent like 2 hours trying to get past those guardians.. Didnt feel worth it at the time, but now, now Im finally getting my real reward. Look I did a thing without a guide.
I had no idea about Radhan and his horse but I always wondered how that poor guy wasn't crushed. Now I know. It's very touching to learn that about him but maybe just because I love horses so much. Thank you.
So that Rune Arc in Raya Lucaria, you can actually see it from the rooftops section. I had no idea how to get down there for the longest time, and I actually had to use my spatial awareness to figure out that it was just outside of the main building, and therefore must be just behind an illusory wall. I always get weird looks when I tell people that I spend 5-6 hours on the legacy dungeons, but that is why. I scrub those areas like you wouldn't believe haha.
I've been playing for almost two years and I'm just now at both finial boss fights, base and DLC ( I spent entirely too much time scouring the landscape and farming to upgrade every single weapon, like seriously they are ALL 8/24) but one thing I figured out after the Lord of Blood fight because I forgot to unequip it, is that the Mohg's Shackle will open secret doors and disengage traps, like the big fire things. Not sure if that is common knowledge or not, I've been avoiding spoilers until now
There's also a set of Claws in the Abandon Cave called "Venomous Fangs" that are real interesting. They (and Serpents Bow) share a unique poison that iirc deals about 2x damage compared to normal poison damage but is only active for 1/3 of the time. What's cool about the claws as well is they are infusible with other AoW and will retain the special poison effect with whatever AoW you chose. You can either utilize the quicker poison duration with Mushroom Crown and Kindred Exultation for quicker buffs, or if you use the poison infusion on your AoW, it will go back to the normal poison duration except you'll still be doing the 2x damage from the special poison of Venomous Fangs.
Something that I'm not sure if I just accidentally forgot about, or did truly just miss, is the ash of war scarab helmet. It is found in stormveil castle, when you find the bridge to the divine tower, it is behind the portal. It's a very situational piece, not sure it really works well with any builds outside of the sword of milos infinite health meme one.
I found the war dead catacombs my first playthrough and what a skill jump lol. That’s gotta be one of the toughest catacombs in the game. Besides maybe the one with all the chariots.
Also I loved how i found war dead catacombs. I beat radahn the first time and was standing there thinking "god this game is massive." And then i started running the length of the arena and had another vague thought that was like "fromsoft are so wild, how they make stuff and like... this is what ive FOUND. I wouldnt at all be surprised if there is some sort of hidden area right at the end of this expanse that they would never tell you about and itd be like a full on area or something crazy.." And as im having those thoughts, i slowly got close enough that the details were just enough to make out that theres a door there and im like "bruh... actually though..." 😅
What I think most people don't seem to realize or at least remember; Morgott's shackle will open all illusionary walls in the area and also procs those fire breathing statues to move. Allowing you to easily dispatch the chariots in one of the Graves.
A few of these I found on my own, a few I've seen other videos mention. The rune arc and the area under the elevator are new, the latter of which is surprising since I usually check under every elevator, but maybe I just haven't seen the cave it's in yet. Most of the stuff that's just, "look thoroughly" I've done though. It's when pathways get so complex that I can't remember if I've been down every path I've seen that I miss a lot. Funnily enough, I found the war-dead catacombs looking for the painting location from Sellia.
Omg 2 years later and 500 hours in and I actually never knew about the illusory wall in Academy entrance! Well done. You posted this a year ago and I’ve not once seen it mentioned by any other content creator
Great video Found the big Italian dagger (still on 1st play through) didn’t think much of it at the time. In radan fight if you keep at medium distance he will do a move where he stomps the everliving f-k out of his horse, dismissing it, then leaps at you with both swords (good chance to land some hits). Sorry didn’t want to ruin the sentiment you had for his relationship with his horse, but there it is…
Finally figured out super thanks. Have really enjoyed your content. It made Elden Ring much more enjoyable for me. Happy I can support you in your endeavors. Cheers.
I'm so jealous for all the folks who haven't played Elden Ring but will be starting it up in the next couple months. Seriously one of the best games ever
Yes "jutty outie ledges" is an acceptable technical term. Just like how in F1 we sometimes hear the techs and commentators referring to the "lower sticky-outie bits" on the cars. That's tech jargon, for you, though. Can be a little daunting and complex, but it's sometimes necessary to know in order to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
That stupid hidden door in the beginning of rya Lucaria had me running around the rooftops for like 45 mins trying to figure out how to get to that item ahhhh!!! So glad when I figured it out
I’ve already platinumed on ps4 and currently working on my ps5 platinum but 5 of these tips were new to me great job!! Plus the dungeon after redhan I found it my first time but couldn’t remember exactly recently so this was a helpful reminder
Hi Dom. Im high functioning Asperger's (wouldn't know that I have it) FromSoft games help me to relax and de-stress. I also have really bad depression but your videos make me laugh and smile. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates your amazing videos. Thank you for the amazing videos. Best wishes from North Wales
Ur definitely my favourite RU-vidr! Not just coz of ur amazing content, but it feels like being taught cool new things by a mate 😊 keep up the good work buddy!
