Timely video. I realize after 5 weeks into my first 12 week year that I didn't account for how much I am already committed to. I was using business hours to work on career advancement during "strategic blocks" which caused some of my current work to get behind. I am now recommitting to my current job and life and finding ways to get more of what I want in my life and career within my current situation.
100% feel this in my heart. Been there time and time again. I’ve learned to keep projects on my “someday maybe” until I find I actually have spare time. Otherwise it’s stick to what you’re doing or find a way to reduce some of the current workload
Just found your channel and loving your videos and advice and tips. The areas discussed here are in alignment with HB90 and trying to include your current priorities, realistic time for your goals, time and wiggle room for built in days off or buffer days, taking all the reasons you mentioned into account allowing for a flexible structured plan to work toward your goals. I know you kind of covered it in your areas of responsibility video (thanks so much for that!) but I'd love a compare and contrast video if other people have interest between how you planned with the 12-week year and how you plan now! I think to me it doesn't seem that different save you seem to don't do an unrealistic vision step/focus on what is currently happening, but not sure if you agree?
Oooh yes I’d like to do that a lot. I’m a dreamer so I often get these drives to tackle big goals like the 12 week year would inspire you to but I think adding the step of areas of focus can help to narrow down what’s realistic in the current timeline. Maybe 1 big change instead of 4 for example
