Please join our Live Stream. We will pray to bring peace to the victims' Mitama, and the families who lost loved ones during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami in Tōhoku. We also pray for 2024 Noto earthquake.
This year is the 13th anniversary of 東日本大震災 the Great East Japan Earthquake
and Tsunami in Tōhoku. The 2024 能登地震 Noto earthquake occurred on January 1st and many people are still living in the evacuation center.
Please pray together for peace for mitama, the honorable souls who lost their lives in this tragedy, and for peace to be with their families.
We will have a special closing talk delivered by a guest speaker after the ceremony which is open to the public.
Jileel Mcdaniels, a former on-site volunteer of the Shrine, who is currently assigned JET program in Fukushima Japan will speak about his view of how Shinto has influenced Japanese people’s lives during this disaster.
We also have an announcement from Japan Tsunami Aid of their support project for people in Noto.
