You never, ever disappoint. You have such a keen understanding of tone and atmosphere, and your attention to detail never goes unnoticed. It’s just spectacular. Every time.
3:00 'The Grinning Van' sounds like a merchandise version of this van. My best guess is that he caused trouble for a while before duck's accident in a close shave and was then scrapped after an accident with Fergus afterwards, either that or he's haunting this part of the line as he may have crashed there. 🤔 👻
4:08 That is a horror movie level shot!. Respect for there being no jumpscares.... my poor heart stopped every time the 13th van was on screen as it is.
HE’S DONE IT AGAIN, FOLKS! I am seriously so impressed with your productions, man. The way you played with tone in this was perfect, and you made the van itself so much creepier than I pictured it in my head. Bravo!
Dang. There's different people making adaptations to this story. Keep it up and we could reach around "13" adaptations to this. Jokes aside, this is a fantastic adaptation to this story. Especially with Fergus in it. Well done on this adaptation to this story. Keep up the great work!
I absolutely love how eerie this video was. To the extent of making my own story of it in my head!😅 It's basically the same story, but with my OC, Gadget the Rescue Engine. Gadget's an E2 Tank Engine, just like Thomas, but is painted black with white lining and the number 20. She doesn't really believe in the supernatural and spiritual, but after encountering the 13th Van, she believes it a bit more. When she was being pushed down the hill by the Van, Gadget was like "I don't know who you are or what you want, but you better knock it off!", to which the Van just continues laughing manically. Gadget continues with "I'm warning you, mate! You better stop!", and the Van just continues, to which Gadget finishes with "Ok! You asked for it!" and slams on her breaks and eventually the train stops. After BoCo explains the story behind the 13th Van, Gadget says "Even though I don't believe in the paranormal, I feel like I should keep an eye out for that Van. For the safety of me and my friends." The only reason why Gadget joined the Rail Layers is to keep the rails safe for the rest of the engines, even though she perfers more exciting jobs. Sorry about rambling on for so long. I just wanted to explain the changes I made in my own version of this story. I hope everyone has an awesome day/night wherever you are in the world. You deserve it.
This makes a very entertaining ghost story to tell your family at night. It’s simple yet suspenseful and well done. Also it’s not too long so it doesn’t drag on.
Another superb adaptation I thought there was a Jumpscare in coming at the end but there wasn’t but Jesus lord the 13th Van creeped me out it’s also interesting that it’s called the 13th van
13th van used to served on the rails but one day an derailment came to an engine and then the van disappeared as it was destroyed in pieces so... i will call the 13th van for loki a name because he's a trickster and likes to disappear sometimes
Splendid work as always! But I must ask where this cue (2:23) is from? I mean, I've been hearing this piece countlessly, but I could never really place my finger on it... 🤔
It was always the closeups of the trucks' faces and the humans that freaked me out as a kid... I couldn't watch Pop goes the Diesel, Busy Going Backwards, Put Upon Percy, Haunted Henry, and World's Strongest Engine because of how many shots of the trucks they had included...
I'm pretty sure that static laughing face was always creepy, looking back at the first time I saw it in the episode 'A Close Shave' it was weird and a little unsettling even back then. 👻 😃
@@jamesthomas5109 Both episodes I listed the trucks that were used had the same faces but with different shades of gray modeling clay and eyes and mouths. It depends on what front shots of their moods is what scared me...
I'm assuming since the workmen hadn't seen the van, the driver probably didn't see the van too. The driver thought it was the strong gust of wind or something.
@@itzfardino Sometimes I just wonder what these drivers and fireman are doing when it comes to the engines they control battle against villains and seeing paranormal things happening when they're present or not.
