That Renault 5 is a total winner. I’ll probably do my neck in if I pass one for the first time. BMW styling never disappoints in being so bad, personal taste of course.
All sounding pretty good for 2024. Though I'm thinking _(And it hurts, sometimes!)._ Why don't EV charging stations work the same way as _normal_ petrol stations work? Just turn up. Plug in. Use credit/debit card to pay. Drive off. Get rid of the useless _"You have to use THEIR app to use this charging point."_ 8-((... I can't ever record pulling up at _ANY_ petrol station where I've been asked to download an app, just to pay for petrol or diesel 8-\\...
@@thezanzibarbarian5729 - contactless payment. I use Electroverse by Octopus, which is one card for most of the networks, gives cheaper rates and the charging bill goes onto my energy bill
If 450 horse power is used , one thing I think it is very very important thing is making sure horses are fed properly, and never use horses too old for retirement .
Anyone just looking at the EVs and ignoring the hugely environmentally destructive ICE cars? You really should be ashamed of yourself even considering an ICE car. Anyway they are obsolete.
@@rogerphelps9939 you should be ashamed that the mining and raw extraction of lithium for battery packs and plus the extra resources needed outweigh the carbon footprint of a ICE car running for years on the road. Where does your electricity come from, coal power stations.

Missed opportunity with no added bhp, only a auto box and single tail pipe although the single pipe doesn’t bother me. I realise the GP had a auto box for the track.
Does the current designer at BMW look at the new Renault 5 and think… f**k! Ugly love is so last decade! The new 5 is very cool, a genius bit of car design. And I must say Chris, I’ve always liked your review style but you seem to have found a new level. There’s more buzz and energy about you, I like it.
Not a fan of electric vehicles, but I think this is definitely more practical than the 911 Dakar and yes, I agree it should have some sort of roof carriage headlights 🤓
With the Renault 5 I’m bracing myself for disappointment. So often, the finished car looks nothing as good as the concept. I was happily surprised by the Honda E and how close it was to the concept car. I hope the Renault is the same.

what you say is a great car, it has a driving experience, and let's face it we don't like going to the service center, so what could be the secret tip? petrol, diesel? mazda 6 194 hp petrol, seat tarraco 2.0TDI? stelvio 2.2 210 hp diesel? bmw x3 2.0 diesel 190 hp? vw arteon 2.0 diesel ? these are used at 4-5 years old, please help..?
So as a guy living in an older block of flats (no charging nearby) in the UK , only 4 cars/vehicles in this list are ICE, of which 2 are over ~£50K and the remaining are SUVs so a really limited choice for joe average in most UK cities if this EV trend continues, great...
Love that Renault 5 , I think relaunching old classics with a modern twist is a fantastic idea to introduce people to electric drive . XR2 , XR3i , Peugeot 205 , AUDI Quattro, Alpine gta , Delta integrale .and many many more .
I wish we could get past the electric vs ice vs hybrid. Its like the fossil fuel vs renewables, its just plain stupid. It's not a one size fits all and I think that our governments would be good to take that on board.

Hyundai IONIQ 5, I have been hearing all over the internet to replace the battery cost more than the car. which is not under warranty. can you confirm this please. this car has been on my radar for when it first came out. now seems to be a very bad purchase.
It's just absolute anti-EV propaganda - most likely funded by the big oil companies. Think about it... an EV's battery pack is made up of many, many individual battery cells - for example, the Tesla Model 3 SR has nearly 3,000 individual cells, each one individually 'replaceable'. There are EV-specialist companies springing up everywhere that have the ability to replace individual cells in a pack, at a tiny fraction of the cost the anti-EV lobby publicise as 'fact'.
14:30 there's an issue about fixing its battery. Perhaps it would help to make a video about various scenarios to basically finance battery replacements.
