I would say things from pretty much every story in The Assassin's Blade do come back up later in the series, mainly in books 5 & 6. You could probably get by without them, but I do think you'd be missing things, since a lot of those characters end up in the main series. But I do think reading it once you've already started the series is better than reading it first.

yeah personally I don't think meeting a character later is a big enough reason for me to read this. this didn't add much to me. but ill decide later. but im not character driven. an author can tell me that we met a character off page and that's fine for me or reference something in the past.

Also, my favorite part of this video was imagining that the bird on the Prince of Thorns cover was real and that you had a tiny bird chilling on your head.

I put Shadow Prince down for now because I could tell I’d love it more with better timing. But what I did read has me super excited! February was such a good month!! The start of my Blood Grace obsession and honestly it will be so tough for anything to beat out that for my #1 spot of the year. Might be all downhill from here 😂

So glad you had such a good reading month! My favorite of the month was either Ashes and the Star Cursed King (I finally read it!!) or Natural Beauty. But I read so many books and had a lot of 5 stars so it's really hard to pick favorites!

If you're looking for a fast paced twisty thriller, try The Last Passenger by Will Dean, might be The Last One in the US? This had so much tension that my stomach physically hurt and I did not see the twists! 🤯🤯🤯

Yay for all the 5 stars! I think my favorite of the month was actually a non-fic, A Fatal Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum which is all about murder in ancient Rome. Probably not a normal person read but it worked great for me. 😂
