This is in no way an attempt to take away from Krups goat status but the truth is that there are a lot of pilots that make a fatal mistake within 5 seconds of the merge. I'm really grateful these pilots exist because then we can have amazing moments like some of these though. In a lot of these clips, he is at a bad disadvantage and is just flying the aircraft outside of their gun sights long enough for them to make a bad mistake like tip stalling or pulling greedy shots which result in an overshoot. Patience is a virtue and calm is a superpower.
Sick video dude! I'm the spit IX you fight from 4:07 - 6:57 I remember those fights thinking "WTF why is the TA so good at being slow?!?!?" Good fights for sure my man! Let me know if you ever want my POV for another vid since I'm also always recording 😎
Appreciate you being a good sport about getting shot down, if only everyone was like that... You totally had him too, if you stayed patient in lag pursuit...hindsight tho
is dropping the gear effective in the spit? I havnet played a while but I'm always worried of getting that slow, but maybe with fewer players in the skies its not of a concern with getting shot up by a wingman?
The biggest mistake the allied planes make is that krups forces scissors with changing vertical component. The moment the average vector goes downwards the allied planes accelerate, while krups is with flaps. Then he switches up for even better deceleration. Then they panic and they keep pushing for 1 circle (nose to nose) while they are at disadvantage being faster. A simple defense is to refuse the one circle and keep turning trying to force two circle. If the speed is too high a climbing turn is possible. If a slower ennemy tries to follow he setups himself for an easy drag and bag kill by someone arround, so a smart pilot would try for a few seconds to follow but not longer. For real people should understand that when you are faster going nose to nose is the stupidest thing you can make. And it is repeaded over and over again, the same mistake over and over again.
so does a 152 out turn a tempest or was that pilot just using too much rudder looked like his nose was always pointing a little too high in that circle jerk. I just bought the 152 but only really flown it in berloga don't know much about it other than reading the notes ingame.
It depends, I think most times a tempest should win if he is smart, but the 152 still turns great and does hold energy a lot better. Tempest gets an update soon so likely it won't be as maneuverable as it is now, maybe giving 152 the definitive edge in maneuverability at that point.
Hi! You're a great shot!!! Please tell me, the model of the joystick, the model of the engine control knob, the model of the pedals? Do you have a joystick on the floor with a long handle? Or on the table?
Incredible the descending dogfight from the preys point of view, that music and the surrounding flak fire, what a vibe! This might be the coolest IL2 clip I have seen yet.
In the rolling scissors to the deck, it's actually a really smart move, although the spitfire hates being negative AOA so you have to be careful with that obviously with the extra nose weight. He obviously flies well, but my main criticism was that he was insanely impatient trying to get the kill and could have easily used his energy to his advantage using lag pursuit and there is absolutely nothing anybody could do to stop the inevitable kill
The allies are very lucky the germans were so short sighted and didnt feel the sense of urgency to develop the fw190 and this plane much earlier in the war when they had material and especially pilots available. The Ta-152 was clearly an outstanding machine and in the large numbers and in the hands of experienced pilots, would have been more than a match for anything the allies had (probably superior) and would have terrorized the strategic bombing campaign. Before that, if they had the fw190 ready in 1940, the battle of britain would have had a very different outcome.
@@thomaszhang3101 Not really, the main benefit is maneuverability, but it depends what your style is/how you enjoy flying. For me personally the 152 is better because I enjoy aggressive and defensive flying as you can see. D9/K4 are better if you wish to fly a bit more "safe".
@@thomaszhang3101 No not even that it's just all around decent with the main strength being maneuverability, it does not do anything significantly better than any other plane in the game.
@@coldclaws2479 yeah bc mitchells men and they were climbing to defend their bombers in the first clip, otherwise just there looking for a fight, not to be the guy who trolls them on takeoff.
