2:40 As soon as you said Fae Princess! I was like not again.. you’re right, everything is almost the same these days! I’m currently reading “when the moon hatched” and let me tell you , that is the most unique romatasy I have read in a while! It’s so good, you definitely need to try it when you are in the mood for fantasy!
You just convinced me to move The Seven Year Slip up my TBR. I'm not usually a romance reader but I love anything that involves time travel of some kind so maybe this will be my gateway into the genre!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and reading reviews Your monthly wrap ups are always a good way to add more books to my TBR. 😄 And what a sneak peak into another one of your videos. That will definitely be one to look forward to! My favorite read Feb read was Bride. Hope you have a good week!
Happy Wednesday! Thank you, as always, for your bookie content! I enjoy it just as much, if not more, than the fitness content. ❤ really, I'm here for the positive vibes!
I'm a bit late to the Sarah J. Maas world but mg favorite read of February was definitely ACOMAR! This one kept me engaged and was an absolute page turner for me! I'm finishing up ACOWAR in the next couple of days and just oof! It's so so so good! Maas did phenomenal on this one! 😍
Love your videos! I trust your taste so far and think you give good reviews without any spoilers. Just vibes. I don’t really like to know hardly any of the plot when I go to read a book😅
your experience with magnolia parks is exactly what happened with me with ‘binding 13.’ its such a confusing reaction and i feel so validated knowing someone else has felt this way about a book lol
I read 9 books in February, and honestly hated most of them (was kinda in a anxious book slump) but, I reeeaally enjoyed “The Witch’s Heart”. It’s Norse mythology. So cozy, and cute, and FUN, and serious at the same time. I really liked it. It’s a retelling/reimagining
Finally someone on booktube who didn’t like magnolia parks either! I did not enjoy it either, I don’t see the hype around this series. My fav February book was good girl, bad blood by holly jackson
Hmmm my best books of February are actually rereads so not sure if that counts but ah well.... probably the Jade City series and The Name of the Wind series, both are absolutely incredible though the Name of the Wind is still incomplete so slightly frustrating. I'll just have to keep waiting and maybe one day the 3rd one will come out ;( I'm interested in trying more books outside my SF and Fantasy comfort zone and am definitely intrigued by The Women- do you have any other main recommendations (literary fiction, historical fiction ish) ? Looking forward to the next video :))
I’ve been SO intrigued at Jade City! Hmmm for historical fiction… The Women is SO GOOD, also just finished All the Light We Cannot See today and highly recommend :) For lit fic, I read Pachinko a few years ago and it’s one of my fav books ever (it’s actually historical fic too haha)
@@jaimefok perfect! Thanks so much for the recommendations- I’ll go check those out now :))) I 100% recommend the jade city series if you haven’t read it yet- incredible characters and plot line, really interesting world building and just a 5 star series overall :)
My favorite read of February was my re-read of the Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan (the series that comes after Percy Jackson) and also book 5 of the Harry Potter book series, which I'm also currently re-reading!! I really want to read the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas, because a lot of people are recommending them to me since I really liked the Harry Potter series! I also want to get the physical paperback book set of the Throne of Glass series! I read only 3 books this month, if you also count my re-read of the second Percy Jackson book!
@@jaimefok You definitely should read the Percy Jackson series then, read the Heroes of Olympus series, it's a really good mid-stakes fantasy series, and the worldbuilding is not that big or high or anything, it's kind of mid-stakes because there are gods, but it's kind of like a chill adventure series, highly recommend it!
The seven year slip was so good! I loved it so much! It didn’t matter to me how the magic happened either! 100% agree with you. The worst wingman ever was also so cute and sad! Idk how she got all that in such a small amount of pages!
My favorite February book was probably Book Lovers by Emily Henry! I also tried to do a lot of romance books in February and it wasn’t as fun as I’d thought. All the books started to blend together and it made it less enjoyable.
