The new camera looks great! Now you have a good excuse to revisit all the previous arms and film them with the new camera ha! That's awesome that you made some period correct cartridges and fired them. So many of these reproductions are relegated to firing blanks or becoming wall hangers the rest of their lives. Nice work as always.
I've got an ArmiSport 1853 Enfield( manufactured in 1977), an ArmiSport 1861 Springfield ( manufactured in 1994), and a Pedersoli 1861 Springfield I bought in June of 2014. I have never ONCE shot that Pedersoli, since my mum passed away in August 2014 from Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and my wife passed away in late November 2014 from pneumonia, COPD, and Sepsis. That Pedersoli has just sat in my gun safe. I've always wanted an ArmiSport 1842 Springfield, just never got around to it. Now , my eyes are such that I can't really use the sights on the rifled muskets. I'll keep the two ArmiSports for my son, but I'm going to see if I can't find someone who would want to swap their 1842 Springfield for my pedersoli. I still love CW era guns, and I still hunt squirrels, rabbits, and turkeys, so I think the smoothbore would do nicely.
My deepest condolences for the loss of your Mother & Wife Sir. Will keep you in prayer. The Civil war guns are great! Always lots of fun! Would highly recommend the 1842 smoothbore. It is fast becoming one of my favorites!
Nice shooting.. You need some training on the manual of arms for loading in nines times. Your bayonet and cap pouch were on opposite sides from where they were normally worn. The belt is worn at the navel. Now demonstrate loading and firing three times in a minute.😊
