Filing on that coil housing made me think of a lot "vise n file machining" I've done over the years. Loving the build and keep up the good work. Almost forgot. Glad to see the oops with the solenoid not letting the starter stop and the sorting it out. Nothing like learning from someone else's mistakes.

I got chills of joy when you fired it and pulled out of the shop. I still remember my dad firing up a new Montgomery Ward flathead he installed in granddads 53 Ford wagon back in '62.❤

Love this build Matt. I love that shade of green too. One thing, "Green Cars Are Bad Luck". I know for me they actually were. I've owned two and both were rear-ended and totaled. Put a rabbits foot on the key chain. 👊😎👍

I love the way it "starts right up" as soon as you hit the button. My old Harleys do the same thing, and I love it. I also still have the sand cast finned aluminum coil cover that came with my first car in 1962, a 1937 FORD Tudor Slant-Back sedan. It will go on my project panel truck if it ever gets running.... ....RooDog....

A really nice representation of a classic style hot rod that is typical of what may have been built in the late 40s or early 50s. Only built to a better level of quality. The purist may cringe but since it wasn’t chopped or channeled, it shouldn’t be to difficult to make it as original again. Kinda makes everyone happy, doesn’t it.

Nicely done! Loving how this one is turning out so far, with all the little details that really set this build apart from the others I've seen. I'd do a build very similar to this If I had the time and resources. I'm curious how well the mechanical brakes will hold up with the extra horsepower, but obviously upgrading to juice brakes would definitely make more sense in the near future. Eagerly looking forward to more videos on this one~

I have always heard to mount the bottom facing down, so nothing falls on it,(animals) and the machanic of the botton dont accident turn on that car looks mint and would be my every day driver in the summer time .👍

Puddin’ of Puddin’s Fab Shop, has some about the same thing, he took a really nice Model A, put it on a new frame, swapped out the flat 4 for a small block Chevy V-8.

Great vid as always but I think you might need to keep an eye on the new coil. The air space between coil and casing is very effective insulation. If the coil overheats you'll soon know because it will burst and spray you with stinky oil.

With the little that car will be driven, it probably won't make much difference, but you should fill the space between the coil and the case with oil for cooling.

Just a tip I found with my Ultrasonic cleaner: I wrapped mine in a welding jacket and some towels and stuff to insulate it better. It heats up much faster and stays hot longer. Quiets it down too. Anyways, love your videos! Keep ruining old cars and I'll keep watching!
