It's 3am and i just decided to discover the 1975 and holy shit I've been putting it back for so long like a stupid assignment but the assignment turned out to be a perfect hellish paradise it's unfair really their music is my ideal cup of tea
Welcome to the club. Whether you're 15 and their lyrics speak to the unfairness of your world, or your 68 years old, re-discovering what a truly beautiful gift amazing live musicianship is, you're home. Take a load off, grab a bev and friend, dance, sing, and love the day away with the best of em': 6-10 friends all playing the music that defines them. Their friends. Their families. Their childhoods. Their pasts. Their futures. It's a great time to be a fan.
Lol I hate when I discover a band late but at least you’ve got a lot to listen to. I saw these guys twice back in the day (2013-2015 ish) but kinda fell off after the third album. I’m so glad that I’m back tho because damn these guys are good. I can’t listen to I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) without crying
I'm mad that I just started listening to them 2 months ago and both of my daughters and a friend of mine have been listening to them since the beginning. They tried to get me to listen to them a long time ago. I can't stop now. I hate they are on hiatus and we didn't get a chance to see them on this tour😢
@@alex-oo1vy okay yeah lol i understand that and know that but im not talking about alcohol or weed… im talking about his sobriety HE talks about. like heroine and coke.. lol
@@josepha133 good but couldve been better. Had a feeling mat didn't really care about the crowd so much. They dipped off the stage at the end really fast
God bless them for posting these concerts, I wish more artists did, not all of us have the money to go see them live when we live on the other part of the world. I would pay three times as much to see this at the theatre on the big screen than any other major artist. Congrats on the editing, directing as well, as if the sheer beauty of these songs wasn't enough.

53 year old guy here, this is the best performed and designed live show I have ever witnessed since U2s Zoo TV tour in 92, phenomenal band and show concept.
47 here! There a very few bands out there today that have been consistently amazing and The 1975 have had my heart from their very beginning. twenty one pilots is another band I love. Both amazing bands who put out quality music and put on amazing live shows.

I’m 64. Been a musician for most of those years. I don’t care for much pop. My friends don’t seem to like anything new. Music ended in 1979. But these folks…The 1975 and their side players. I mean c’mon. The tunes, the lyrics, the arranging, and the playing. This band is so thoughtful and enjoy the fact that they can perform live. Saw them in October. Just great.
My daughter dragged me to their gig in 2020 at the age of 46; I will be grateful for forever for that day (numerous gigs later). Love this band to bits.
I'm 62 years old and have loved The 1975 since I first heard Chocolate. I remember dancing on the beach with my ear buds in. Such talent!! I'm so glad to see their success!!
@@lotus3161”Same??” lol knock it off I’m 48 and seen them 4x and we fit right in at the shows. Just bought tixs to see their final show in Seattle and we live in St. Louis!
I'll never forget when i used to watch their live full show at The o2, London by vevo 6 years ago from my small room, shitty laptop just vibing, sobbing and actually shed tears cus of how much this band would help me go thru the stuff i struggle with and now to actually see them live twice is just amazing and fulfilling
I want to live inside this show for the rest of my life - the feeling this show gives me is better than any drug on the market. It's pure happiness. It's fucking everything.
1:41:57 - the slow mo shot after Matty belts out that high note is such poetic cinema, just feel the whole song is encompassed in this 20 seconds. What a band.
I wish the whole movie had more stylistic flourishes like this. I feel like it being a livestream limited their ability to the play with the filmmaking, even though a concert of this kind definitely deserves it.
Ok I admit I’m here because of Taylor and curiosity. Well… I can see the attraction now, he’s pretty amazing. Great band , love the vibe. Too bad they didn’t work out but now 1975 has a ton of new fans including me😂!
same here. i used to love them back in the day but i haven't listened to them in ages. taylor has me falling back down this rabbit hole and i'm not mad at it lol
@@lindsayhickman9604 have you seen some of matty's interview moments? i just watched his 10 essentials the other night and was like "okay taylor i get it now" lol
i heard my first the 1975 song when i was twelve years old. ten years later, i was lucky enough to be front row for this show. i don’t think words can explain how much this music has been with me through all phases of my life. now i get to have one of the best days of my life documented and i don’t think i’ve ever seen myself happier :’) the 1975 you are the music of my life. i love you.
Listening to “I always wanna die sometimes” live with everyone at a concert is an out of body experience. Hope I can go back and see them again some time soon. 🥹
Just saw a clip of it on instagram. A whole 30 seconds. Had to find the full video...I have never had goosebumps for an entire song and after before. Can't imagine the feeling live.
I had never heard of these guys until they came and stayed at the hotel I worked at. Them and their manager were so respectful and left their hotel rooms better than most guests. My daughter was a fan and I have only just started listening to some of their music. Had no idea the big fan base they had.
There’s nothing I love more than seeing peoples faces in the crowd of these videos. There’s nothing like that live show connection to your favorite artist/music, it’s just magic ✨
@@amit687 Ahhh I get it dude😭 This song is MADE to be performed live and I so much play this version more than the studio more. It lifts up my mood in a great way💥
When i saw the 1975 on this tour in Nottingham I only knew one song which i'd seen on Graham Norton "it's not living...". I nearly didn't go but OMG, what a night, what a band and I am so thankful I went. This tour was magnificent. Matty and the band - genius. .
this is a fucking film, a genuine and perfect form of expression of art through cinematography. The 1975 its been part of my life since the beginning of 2023, and even though i missed so many great times of the band, im glad i didn't loose everything. Y'all guys, im so thankfull for giving me a different form of seeing music, art and a way to express passion and love. I am an artist, and the 1975 it part of me, cuz i always feel like this, but i just havent found people who get it too. Thank You! One day i hope i can play with you guys.
The When We Are Together performance is probably the most beautiful moment I've seen from these guys onstage. So tender and communal. Love love love when they clap and sing along and Matty gives a shoutout to all the band members.
Absolutely agree. It appears like it’s been months since they’ve included it in the setlist. I hope they bring it back for the Toronto show Saturday! Such an amazing and heartfelt track. The harmonies are just gorgeous too
Fantastic concert. ‘I’m in love with you’ brilliant. I think the superb musicianship of the whole band isn’t always acknowledged but they really are at the top of their game.
I'm always blown away by the magnitude of the creativity, raw talent and showmanship of Matty, supported by the incredible musicianship of the rest of The 1975 guys, and their long-term touring musicians. I hope that they know that we are so appreciative of their talent and efforts, as they have been the soundtrack of the last decade, through joyful and challenging times alike. Wishing The 1975 continued success, and so pleased that so many others are being introduced to their music, and enjoying their amazing shows!♥
This band is out of this world. This is the best concert that I have attended. They put a lot of thought into the concept of the show. They sound as good if not better than their record. I just hope Matt Healy takes care of himself. With his smoking and drinking, I am not sure how that helps him maintain his vocal power. Please take care so that we can keep watching his shows.
At 68 I have seen a lot of concert films. Stop Making Sense is still my favorite, but this is a close second, and the 1975 are the best band in the world right now.. I saw this show twice in Denver this year and oddly enough saw the Talking Heads Stop Making Sense tour live twice as well, in Philly and LA. Anyhow kudos to the director and everyone involved with this.
Like several, I am here out of curiosity, he is a handsome and talented boy, without a doubt the songs they would have written together... uffff!!!! you can imagine it 🤩🤩 But that's destiny, there are people who, although they love each other very much, are not destined to be together and their mark is very well imprinted on your life.
My grandmother was a musician her whole life, and has loved learning about this style of music through my liking The 1975. I wanted to take her to a concert but she cannot step away from her care for my grandfather, but this has allowed me to give her the experience from her own home. Thank you ❤
I'm amazed on how good these guys are. Always heard the name but never gave them a chance to listen to their music. RU-vid suggested this concert and now im hooked. You guys are amazing.
Agree. So often I hate to see an artist live because they sound so much better studio produced. This is the complete opposite - they sound AMAZING live! I saw them 2x this Fall and want to 'go again' because it's JUST SO GOOD. Not lying - they just keep getting better baby!
I loved watching the crowd at this recording. look how many beautiful girls and guys are in this room. and it makes me so happy to know that I am part of this community. You guys are wonderful.
I remember watching live at the o2 all throughout Covid as a sixteen year old, but being able to be at this concert in person was everything I had ever dreamed of. AND ITS HAPPENING AGAIN ❤
Saw them for the first time live in San Diego in September, truly a life changing experience I don't think I'll ever forget that night. After 12 years as a fan and thinking I'd never be able to experience them, this was definitely the best night of my life so far.
..at their very best is the best live show I’ve ever seen by far; it’s not even close! Amazing talent; all of them. Absolutely love seeing their growing success; I’ve loved them since they were just putting out EP’s, and now they’re playing MSG! I’m so excited for them!
What an amazing show. I'm a super fan since 2013 and can't wait to see them live next year. They don't like touring in germany I guess, that's why I'm seeing them for the first time. Definitely underrated band. Their music is really diverse and they have grown a lot within their musical and aesthetic style.
