The fact this song is about drug addiction blew my mind when i first realized it. "If i choose then i lose" if your high you lose, if your sober u lose being high. Love this song with all my heart
Yeah....I agree, love the band but smoking weed and cigarettes aren’t good for lungs or the planet but there concerts are quite sustainable I hear, so is their merchandise.
Matthew,as someone with depression, anxiety disorder and PTSD,your music has helped me through the years and even now. there's this genuine feeling of happiness i get when i see you guys performing and honestly, that is a lot for me. i am still struggling and trying to live each day without going insane so these small joys mean a lot so i just wanted to say that im grateful for your existence. keep making music, please.
@@popkiity Google it, there exists a video of Matty & a choreographer dancing to "She's American" on a set like they were shooting a music video. I might try to find it.
I love hann so much and the way he plays his guitars is just so funny to me... it makes me smile watching him on stage just being an absolute god at guitar in his own little world
I love how pointless and fun this is. It’s amazing how much a music video can say about someone’s mental state. It’s crazy to think about the old sound and black and white videos now. I love both eras for different reasons, but I’m glad you’re all happier now❤️
[Verse 1] Danny ran into some complications He falls asleep during conversations He's gotta search the street when he's on vacation The worst thing is that I'm in the same situation [Chorus] And all I do is sit and think about you If I knew what you'd do Collapse my veins, wearing beautiful shoes It's not living if it's not with you [Verse 2] And Danny says we're living in a simulation But he works in a petrol station (Selling petrol) He says it all began with his operation And I know you think you're sly but you need some imagination [Chorus] And all I do is sit and think about you If I knew what you'd do Collapse my veins, wearing beautiful shoes It's not living if it's not with you All I do is sit and drink without you If I choose then I lose Distract my brain from the terrible news It's not living if it's not with you [Bridge] I can't stop sweating or control my feet Got a 20-stone monkey that I just can't beat I can stage a situation, but I just can't eat And there's a feeling, you're replacing embrace [Chorus] It's true that all I do is sit and think about you If I knew what you'd do Collapse my veins, wearing beautiful shoes It's not living if it's not with you All I do is sit and drink without you If I choose then I lose Distract my brain from the terrible news It's not living if it's not with you [Outro] Oh, I'll try to get a job in a bank, I think Danny spent the time trying to pack in the drinks for me I feel sick and I know I that I'll lose but It's not living if it's not with you (It's not, it's not) It's not living if it's not with you (It's not, it's not) (It's not, it's not) It's not living if it's not with you (It's not living if it's not with you) (It's not, it's not) (It's not, it's not) (It's not, it's not) (It's not living if it's not with you)
Anybody who knows the story behind this song and has been opiate/ substance abuse withdrawal and recovery will agree, This song is brilliant. Captures the tone magnificently
Honestly, I like this better than the actual music video. The music video is still amazing, but I love this video not cutting to these other conceptualized moments
