I'm so glad he said his love of black music. It's nice being so into 90s R&B then coming full circle to a band that loves the same type of music you do and then they create this music with all of these open influences and they do it well. They don't steal, they don't say they are new, they just branch off and add a different dimension to something we all already know and love. This is how I love my modern music. I can't get out of the past so I need musicians who can't either haha.

Saw the 1975 a couple weeks ago in the UK. The show was like nothing I've ever experienced before, it was so chilled out but at the same time really crazy.

Matty is the type of person I would love to sit down with for a cup of coffee and just talk to them for hours. His interviews are never over superficial and meaningless b.s.

this is so refreshing. the interveiwer was great because she talks about relevent things like genres, the new album, and the music videos, rather than focusing on mattys personal life. and i noticed the difference in mattys responses in this interveiw, compared to one where he gets asked stupid questions. he seemed a lot more into it, and genuine in this one

i think this is my favorite interview with him so far the interviewer asked questions that were actually relevant and not superficial and matty seemed really engaged

You know what I've just noticed.. Matty is the type of artist who no one asks who's he dating in interviews... They always ask him about his music and work, not caring for his personal life which is actually great because it's his life and should remain private. His music is too interesting.. Love him

This was such a great interview, omfg. You can literally see him getting more invested and more comfortable because she is talking about his work (and knows enough about it to really talk) instead of his personal life, and just 10/10 interview.
