Oh my god, I'm in the same situation now 😭 I saw them live last Friday and I'm still totally blown away. And now I watch this video in a continuous loop.
@@arifnugroho4424 math rock got nothing on the 1975. They could write some of the best math rock songs you would have ever heard if they wanted to. Just coz it’s 4/4 on a pop song doesn’t mean it’s easy or bad. Coming from a drummer the parts George writes are insanely complex if you sit and break it down behind a kit
@@caydendesouza3138 hahaha funny why give math rock a reference to call She's American a "simple" pattern to drum to. 4/4 just because most pop songs use that time signature? Yeah goodluck making random fill-ins in toms, splash, and chinas between your "simple" 4/4s without a single mistake like George did.
@@JustZendii Yeah, kinda impossible to say best song of this, best song of that when it comes to them. There is always another one stuck in your head 🤷🏻♂️
I really liked this era of the Band... the dancers were such a simple, but highly effective addition... especially in songs like Love It we Made it, where Matty would break into a routine with them.
heard them at Hangout a few years ago. during college i’d listen to this album to feel a little less sad. ethereal experience. the chord progression and harmonies in this song are incredible. what a great song. ❤️
@@giovannafracchia1094 It’s not really cool to like the 1975 as a boy in my area of the UK. I pretended to not like them for this reason until they released ‘Too Shy’ and I was like ‘this is too good so I’m just gonna stop pretending I don’t like them and just embrace it’. Now I’m a huge fan and I love it
What a pleasant discovery (The 1975)! How coincidental to have the 2 twin dancers who remind me of girls dancing in "This Is America" by Donald Glover (Childish Gambino). And how about the saxophone player who looks like Kenny G? I may be older than most of you, but 1975 has a new fan!
A big town Synthetic apparitions of not being lonely "Look! He's having a breakdown Oh what a let down, a shame, I think he might die!" She's dancing enthralling, I guess I gotta wait my turn I said, "Don't fall in love with the moment" She said I've got a lot to learn You know I'm in love with this city But the green is turning brown And I just look pathetic now If she likes it cause we just don't eat And we're so intelligent, she's American If she says I've got to fix my teeth Then she's so American (she's American) If she likes it cause we just don't eat And we're socially relevant, she's American If she says I've got to fix my teeth Then she's so American (she's American) She's inducing sleep to avoid pain And I think she's got a gun divinely decreed and custom made She calls on the phone like the old days, expecting the world Don't fall in love with the moment And think you're in love with the girl There's no more water in this city But be careful or you'll drown You think you've got it figured out If she likes it cause we just don't eat And we're so intelligent, she's American If she says I've got to fix my teeth Then she's so American (she's American) If she likes it cause we just don't eat And we're socially relevant, she's American If she says I've got to fix my teeth Then she's so American (she's American) Well, your face has got a hold on me But your brain is proper weird Are you feeling the same? You just keep nodding at me looking vacant If she likes it cause we just don't eat And we're so intelligent, she's American If she says I've got to fix my teeth Then she's so American (she's American) If she likes it cause we just don't eat And we're socially relevant, she's American If she says I've got to fix my teeth Then she's so American (she's American)
