As a drummer I completely disagree, of course George is the creator of his own party, that's why he sounds better, he is more familiar with these songs. but playing a whole set like this for just practicing a single night is insane! You should give him more credit.

@@mischatombal5926 You have the right to have your own opinion! 👍🏼 But he had more than a night of practice for this set, they knew about George's shoulder injury way before this. Don't get me wrong, Dave is a great drummer too and I admire a lot of his work.

@@FelcSE alright interesting! I thought I heard Matty telling during an interview that he just practiced for a single night. And I agree with you that it isn’t the same when George is playing, but I don’t think “boring” is the appropriate label to this, he didn’t lose his head or anything. He was playing decent.

@@mischatombal5926 nah, boring might have been the wrong choice of word, I don't know if "soulless" is any better but I can't really describe it any other way, it's a bit like when using a drum machine live! Almost too tight if you will?

No, I disagree. Matty often refers to their music as "his". The boys almost always stay in the background during interviews and only Matty babbles. That's how they tick. It's their modus operandi and it works for them. Their soun has changed, but that's called development. I see what you see, but my interpretation is different.
