Her final line about the cookie and feeling right as rain is the most comforting delivery of a line ever.

That scene is even more brilliant....now that I realize how deep the Oracle was playing her game in this scene. She tells Neo that "Morpheus believes in you Neo. And no one, not you, not even me, can convince him otherwise." The deep part is that she's the one who helped convince Morpheus to believe in Neo in the first place. She set him up to believe in Neo so much that he'd be willing to sacrifice his life to protect him. And because Neo is attached to Morpheus, because of all that Morpheus has done for him, that then manipulates him into rescuing Morpheus (keeping him safe) and putting him in direct conflict with Smith. That is some mighty fine chess playing there. Also.....Neo 'dying' in order to realize just how much of a construct 'death' is within the Matrix, gives new meaning to her phrase "Your next life, maybe, who knows?" *pointing at the screen* She Knows......probably why she's called the Oracle or something.

You notice - she never said Neo was not the one! She is saying - Neo has ‘The Gift’ but Neo is not ready!

Gloria foster passed away decades ago but her legacy still lives on she will always be the true Oracle , it's a shame she couldnt be in martix 3&4 rest in paradise hun ❤

For years because of this scene, when i worked as a paramedic, whenever id give anyone morphine id say "and by the time youve finished taking this injection.... you'll feel right as rain.....".

She gave Neo a cookie... oh my god, how did I not get that? The cookie has programming in it, like a cookie on a website... No wonder 'you'll feel right as rain' sounded so weirdly specific. Homeslice is playing interdimensional 10D chess.

I love how she first examines him physically like a medical doctor, and likes what she sees. But then she gets the details from "reading his palms" like a psychic. Perfect for a computer program called Oracle.

Never notice The song "I'm Beginning to See the Light" is playing in the background. About someone who never gets excited about things, suddenly noticing things in a favorable light. Probably how she felt inside. hopeful but aware he had a tough journey.

2:38 "take a cookie"...consider that Matrix is internet itself and Neo is visiting the Oracle as a client visiting an internet page on a server, so the cookie she gives to Neo is exactly like the cookies transmitted by pages to your Pc, once the cookie is "eaten" it will make, for agent Smith and other "bot", easier to know where Neo is in every moment, that's how they track him.

I remember thinking more about Morpheus than Neo when I first saw this movie. I was like “man this dude has it all wrong, this sucks, poor guy” and then I had it all wrong.

This whole time Neo didnt think he was the one. He was hearing her but he was not listening. YOU GOT THE GIFT! BUT YOU ARE WAITING ON SOMETHING....On what? Your next life....Dead Neo to how this thing works. She basically admitted here the Matrix is on a loop.

I love that in the end of it all she was right. Neo had a gift but ended up choosing to give up his life over Morpheus's. Neo died. But Morpheus was right. He was the One.

When she says without Morpheus they are lost she is plainly stating that without a man who so blindly believes in the dreams that she gives to him they could not successfully manipulate the *anomaly* aka The One into keeping the cycle going and restarting the world for the machines to keep humanity enslaved. Neo already made the choice to allow Trinity (love) to die and he came to the Oracle to figure out why. The answer of course is because the Oracle told him to. She gave Neo the visions and then told him how Trinity was going to die because it would force him to make the choice, and remember choice is an illusion according to the Merovingian who said he, Neo, was not there of his own free will but instead was obeying the Oracle and doing her bidding like a loyal dog. Causality dictates that Neo wanted to save his own lover and the effect of that would be that humanity would die. In order to 'save' humanity he would have to let Trinity die. This was the illusion that he ever had a choice since the Oracle knew she was going to die. A series of controls to give the illusion of choice while forcing Neo down the only path the system would allow him to go down. It was a matrix of compromises that lead to an inevitability of design (determinism/fate)

On first watch, I missed all the Easter eggs she was dropping right in front of my eyes. Her predicting his death. Just like when Morpheus said, "when the time comes, u won't have to," in response to Neos, "are u saying I can dodge bullets? "

I immediately thought the cookie was a way for the Oracle to make Morpheus know Neo is indeed the « one ». Especially the way he doesn’t want to know what she told him. I think it’s part of his training. He can’t rely just on that.

The Oracle tells Neo that he is waiting for his next life to awaken his full potential. She then segues into letting him know that he will have to make a choice between his life and that of Morpheus. Had his character been that of a man that would let Morpheus go and continue to live within his little box, he would have never awakened his powers. His character led him to making the choice to rescue Morpheus because he believed he could. He knew he was going to die but what he didn't know was that in his sacrifice he would be born again with his full potential unlocked.

He had a choice in becoming the one or not becoming the one by deciding to save Morpheus he became the one. It was his life or Morpheus when he made the choice to save Morpheus is when he was walking the path of the one. That's why the Oracle told him that one of them were going to die and it was his choice who would it be he was waiting on something and that's what it was the choice to save Morpheus or Himself. He died saving Morpheus and wahbam the Oracle prophecy complete. ' waiting on your next life "

Here I make a big spoiler of Matrix sequels: She is the creator of the Matrix together with the Architect, to enslave humanity. Even here that b***h is manipulating Neo to become the One to eventually exterminate Zion. Who would have thought that? At least this is what she had done with the previous 5 Ones apparently. But somehow it ended up helping the resistance in this run of the reboot phase, if I remember correctly. But in this scene she was still probably thinking of exterminating Zion as usual.

Neo doesn't believe in himself he is waiting for someone special to help him believe in something bigger than himself ... upon finding the special person he can turn the path of the 1 into the path of the many. A Purpose is powerful but love is holding the most power.
