Would be nice to have a media query to indicate the level of a persons vision impairment so an original design can be maintained while also allowing for wide spread accessibility
@@Yougi Not sure this answers the question for colour blindness. Different types would require different values although you could just go the monochrome way in every case (which should be the last resort fall-back X ) ).
@@Yougi they made it for people who use windows high contrast mode. From w3c draft document "The prefers-contrast media feature is used to detect if the user has requested the system increase or decrease the amount of contrast between adjacent colors. For example, many users have difficulty reading text that has a small difference in contrast to the text background and would prefer a larger contrast." So it's not for color blind people and should not be used as either.
It's always better to not just rely on color alone to show a different state. Maybe adding an error icon to the red fields would be we an accessibility improvement.
Actually I see it only if the element fails in the light house audit and if I close the dev tools it's lost forever. But ig CSS overview (experimental) shows it all the time. Cmd Shift P on dev tools and type css overview
I am building a project which requires me to use color picker. Can someone please tell me which color picker is shown here? I tried searching but couldn't find
is not for you to setting colorBlind features, dont waste your time, most people with color blind use plugins or apps to hack and customize colors. Event in game , yoy have special monitor , or special glass where it do the hack for you
Yes it's our (UX designer-s/frontend developers) job. There are ~300 million color blind people on the earth. Also our job to do the right typography, ergonomy, and every other accessibility feature for the endusers.
but the design department loves white font on bright blue background or on light green ... you have to take that in concideration over this stupid contrast ratio of yours or this mean stupid lighthouse audit :-D
