A habit I have when doodling or drawing I draw a couple big lines or shapes then go inside of them and fill in with random other lines and shapes. It was cool finding out what other people do and hearing you explaining your process

Peter, you have the voice of a much older man. In fact, until I saw you I thought you were probably 62+ years old. I bet your voice went deep in elementary school. Most doodles aren't art...but yours definitely are. Just like most oil paintings or watercolor paintings aren't. Love your channel and your quirky and unique perspectives are very enjoyable. s Consider more interesting t-shirt designs though. You have a significant amount of work...would love to see more selections.

I never knew there was a word for seeing things in random ambiguous lines and shapes! That's literally my drawing style: doodling then finding something that emerges and working it so it comes to life. Thanks peter you're a real pal

Hey Peter. I’m an artist and have gleaned so much skill and inspiration from your work. Sometimes when I’m stuck, I’ll turn on one of your videos and am refreshed artistically. Thank you for that! The term “doodling” makes your work approachable and non-threatening and yet it could hang in any museum anywhere, it’s so interesting and engaging.

I usually hope my doodly abstract drawings will start to resemble something so it'll help give me a plan to finish it off. I start a lot of them and never finish. Sometimes it's more about enjoying the feel of the pen or pencil on the paper and watching the lines take shape. Especially with pencil. There's something sort of meditative about aimlessly shading and scribbling with a pencil.

Peter... my mother used to dislocate her shoulder quite frequently when I was a child. Eventually it stopped happening. I have runners knee. The ligaments that hold the kneecap in place are a bit loose so the back side allows bone on bone. I went to physical therapy. They helped quite a bit. If I now notice that my knee is starting to have a bit of pain I just do the exercises and in a few days I am back to normal. Also a Tens machine helps with muscle pain. I wish you all of the best. Generally what's been happening to me (especially if I'm doing coloring pages) is that I will find a shape I really like and just keep making it and changing it, and 4 drawings later it's morphed into something else and I've forgotten what I did a week ago. For some reason my doodles/abstract drawings like that, I can't remember much about them unlike my other art, which I actually use to help me remember. Also, I've been streaming on Reddit a lot lately and people keep asking if I've seen your stuff or if I use fountain pens cause you do, which is funny. You might like to stream there some time, but it's weird to stream from a phone.

Love your -hair, Peter. Suits you. At the beginning, you were doing facial doodles! If you want to be more healthy, cut out the eggs altogether. Very high in cholesterol. They are excellent food - for baby chicks. I am a crutch staggerer and wheelchair zoomer and used to have intermittent periods of extreme pain in my shoulders till one time it got so bad I couldn’t move my arm. Dr diagnosed frozen shoulder and I had a cortisone injection into the joint which helped. He referred me to a physiotherapist who said it wasn’t frozen shoulder but a posture problem exacerbated by the abnormal use of my arms for my mobility problem, and gave me exercises. Very simple! All I have to do is to move the bottoms of my shoulder blades down and together. Do this 5 seconds, hold and repeat. This strengthens the muscles around the joint that have become out of balance. She said lots of people get this problem bending over desks, working on computers etc. I’ve had no problems since. Do you have hyper mobility? That can make your joints unstable. Hope you get real answers to the problem - it sounds pretty serious to me if your shoulders are popping out as often as that. It’s amazing you can pop them back in again yourself - usually requires an A&E visit! Love the drow-wings! Interesting the 2 stages. I think that helps give some direction and also to know when to stop!

Orthopedic Surgeon. Last year I had a shoulder replacement. I have surgery set up for the other shoulder this year. If you’ll nerd surgery, be prepared for a approximately 6 weeks before you start PT. But you’ll have to have a sterile area at home until the staples are removed. Worth it all. The pain I was experiencing and reason for my surgery was worth it!

I genuinely enjoy the advertisement segments, Peter. They don't detract from your videos at all, since it's all still in your own style. You're good at this

i can't imagine the discomfort of your dislocations. have you been tested for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome for your shoulder instability? if not, you may want to ask your doctor. i hope it disappears, never to happen again. 💜

I started playing tennis at 40. Started lessons with a girl who became a friend and we pretty much right away joined a team at the public courts. Tennis really only makes sense if you compete. That’s tennis. Hope you can play some more. ❤

I have 2 steps doodling too. 1st I start & eventually 2nd I finish. There's ALWAYS 2 stages to all my doodles/drawings. 😁 Also, I'm 47 & my shoulders pop out as well. I quit Gold's Gym a few months after starting because they all freaked out when it happened. I've managed to get this far in life & I know my limitations (like yours when my arms are raised over my head). I look forward to hearing what your doctor says & wish you much luck with what they tell you.

Hello Peter! I watched your Video about pink Notes and doodles. And Afterwards i stumbled over this Video. I absolutely understand about what u r talking about the Border when you start to recognize patterns, Objects, something. It Happens to me as well. And WE r not alone. Creative Minds 'work' Like that. Vera F. Birkenbihl (a german Motivation Trainer - unfortunately died already) described it with origin ppl as columbus discovered America with his huge ships. The origins havent Seen such huge ships before, so They never have Seen them Like we - who already know such sort of ships. They only knew small boats. So their brains probably recognized only huge wooden blocks. Thats also why children need to inspect everything with their Hands, smell it, taste it, and so on. They start to create some sort of 'map', a 'copy' which gets saved within their brain. Same happens, when scientists learn their specific stuff. They start to think in patterns and can start doing Research and following the line (the way we create the picture which we start to see - and maybe even starts to change in the making). Or like creative music maker start to create new music. The 'patternthing' is the human base of Our science. Seeing patterns in base of the neurological Network we all create while growing Up. This is how psychology also works. To 'explain' this - would Take such a Long time and huge text, so i Just keep it Like that - and leave the rest to your selfreflection and the way you build Up and perceive your 'reality' ;) Go on and cheers!

I think the way you refer to your art is, and has always been, in terms of endearment. Doodle is a humourous word in the English language. The alliterative 'D'. In my doodles I just start with something curly or a line of some sort. Then I keep going, I like filling in tight spaces with unfilled shapes of said tight space. Sometimes whether I like it or not I keep going. Idk I just do it lol. People ask what I'm thinking when I'm doodling and.... I don't know exactly what I think I just doodle. Parallel lines make me happy though. Pilot G2s are my favorite.

I want peter and Mr. Doodle to hang out. Doodles are high art.

Maybe it’s more like two forces of mind rather than steps. The automatic drawing usually comes first but the concretizing aspect begins to layer over the top at some point. Maybe they’re both always there! Also, as soon as you brought the pointer out, as I was laughing at its silliness, I was ambushed with ASMR-type feelings.
