ESTJs come to mind after reading the title. They're constantly whacking you on the head with that big Te hammer of theirs; and they can't help it 😀 Cheers, Ren.

I think you are right Ren. ESTJ and ESFP most likely types to see us as antisocial/stupid/lazy/rebellious/weak/oversensitive etc.

ESTJs and I tend to rub each other the wrong way. We just don't get on well, which suggests to me that our personalities don't have much in common. I don't know a lot of ESFPs, but I find ESTPs very confusing.

I'm echoing some others who have mentioned issues with Fi doms. I never realized it but its true! I find im a little bit too objective/morally relative for Fi dominants. They are so set on and guided by their feelings that they cant detach from them and see a bigger picture, they can't see all the contributing factors to a situation and this makes me super frustrated. They seem to misunderstand me and my intentions, and i dont really respect their adherence to their own subjectivity. So there's some issues there.

I will say that I've worked with, I think, 4 ESFPs in the last year and that there is potential for a feeling resonance between them so long as they are both in a healthy place and connected to their auxiliary functions. Healthy INFJs can be deeply treasured by healthy ESFPs and healthy ESFPs can be inspiring to healthy INFJs in the ways that they embody their values. To the degree that either or both are disengaged from their feeling function there is, I agree, little chance for mutual understanding. But for the ESTJ-INFJ relationship, there seems to be very little chance for mutual understanding even when they're healthy.

I think I'd have to agree. I get very uncomfortable around people with high Se. It's overwhelming.

In my own experience, the one type I seem to have the most difficulty with is actually ENFJ - if the two people I’ve typed as such are actually ENFJs. The reason for this, I speculate, is that our functions and values are so close that they tend to assume I subscribe entirely to their program. But to me, ENFJs tend to fall into heroism, which can be very controlling, due to their FE dominance, and they also tend to misunderstand INFJs as arrogant and selfish because our FE, though strong, doesn’t dictate everything we think or do. I’ve been very close to two people I think are ENFJs, and in both cases I’ve had to banish because it became clear that they treated our relationship as a competition, that they imagined I looked down on them, they felt stupid or inadequate around me even though I actually admired and appreciated them deeply. The similarities between us actually served to destroy our friendships, because for all their FE dominance, they simply couldn’t understand me and could be extremely hurtful over and over without ever acknowledging it. I came to my limit and quietly exited.

For me I come across constant conflict when it comes to education with high Si lead users, I am not sure what your experience was when getting your PHD, but I constantly got times where the professor wouldn't understand what I was talking about, and I had to step by step explain my thought process, before it was able to click for them

I’ve actually had more frustrating experiences with ISFPs because I seem to meet them more than the other types. There is some common ground initially but I find they, as introverted feeling dominants, are so easily upset and then they struggle to maintain composure when slighted and seek cold revenge. They are all about their subjective, sensing experience, which is far from INFJ cognition. Probably the least compatible introvert for INFJs imo. I find them like children in many ways, I know that sounds awful. Making judgements based on feeling is messed up imo. Feelings are the goal but not the guide.

I have only one nemesis. The isfp. And it is very carefully that I have come to that conclusion. Probably not the conclusion you would be thinking...

It's what I thought too for INFJ & ESTJ, because their dominant and 7th function/trickster/blindspot are switched. - Make sense too for the ESFP, their dominant function is the inferior of the other - ESFP has Fi Te, INFJ Fe Ti : one is more directed toward themselves, the other toward others, they judge/decide differently, communicate differently. On my side for INTJ, it's the same pattern : ESFJ & ESTP are the ones who always/often misunderstand me. I had issues too with ISTJ. Keep the great ideas !

😂 C'est très drôle, pcq j'ai fait une 1e écoute superficielle (sachant que je suis pas fluent english) en pensant que Ren tu décrivais les personnes qui nous comprennent le 'mieux', et plus j'écoutais l'ESFP plus je me disais que j'étais pas d'accord du tout et que pour moi c'était les pires interactions quotidiennes de ma vie 😂😅 (j'ai 3 exemples concrets me concernant). Du coup je valide pour l'ESFP. Je dirais que l'incompréhension est réciproque. (Encore 1x c'est peut-être pas valide pour tout le monde tout le temps, ca depend surement du niveau d'intégration de chacun - moi compris - mais là je ne me base que sur mon expérience réelle avec des vrais gens - et pardon pour l'aspect jugemental). Le Se-dom soutenu par du Fi (désintégré) m'épuise littéralement. L'ESTJ bizarrement me pose moins de soucis (et pourtant j'en ai autour de moi aussi).

I don't think I fully understand what you mean by INFJs feeling ashamed of their Se. Can You give an example or two of what that shame or embarrassment would look like? 🤔

In 4th slot it means we use it weakly and therefore it’s a source of insecurity
