For 3.5M naaah… you can get a better drive thrill from a slightly older model but well maintained for the Benz purists and other models if one doesn’t mind. Great review guys.

This is the base model GLA. You should have mentioned the more powerful gla250 4matic. Its a 4 wheel drive with over 209hp. It offers better value for its price point.
A VW Golf R Variant clears above 300hp, comes with all the features and loads more space….yeah still GLA in Kenya is hype…people are brainwashed with Merc and Toyota brands so as usual one overpays

@@ruirukariuki2033 I'm just a curious petrol head, not so technical, Asante lakini :) On the 2 cars you ask it fully depends on what you are looking for between Performance and Practicality! My perspective: Performance - Last I checked there was no version of BMW X1 pushing anywhere near 300hp with clever diffs and all-wheel drive - so in the performance battle the Golf R is comfortably above the X1. People get confused by the name Golf and assume a random beamer will be faster...drive a Golf GTI or R and you will see that is purely lack of knowledge! Practicality - Both are very practical cars in terms of cabin space and boot. In the West, they would be considered almost equals with generation two X1 beating the Golf. But in Kenya ground clearance ni story so X1 clearly edges out the Golf. My advise? If I want to munch miles on roads with huge bumps daily and carry people/luggage I would buy the X1. But for myself, for fun, of epic road trips (Kenya main roads have improved a lot) Golf R any day! VW EA888 engine is a beauty and a beast in equal measure. And for pits sake do not change its suspension to increase ride height!! If you are going to ruin it like that then nunua a mini-SUV tu..
The A-Class on which this GLA is based is being discontinued for 2024 onwards. The current GLA (Gen2) is on a new platform MFA2 and MMA thereafter. This GLA has served its purpose of getting younger buyers into the Mercedes brand. The GLA 45AMG is a real fire-breathing pocket rocket, though it misses out on drift mode that the AMG A45 has. If you want a car that not everyone has, it's not a bad car. But get the 4matic versions. Sure, you can have a Mazda CX-5 or Subaru XV for less, but almost everyone almost everyonethe office carpark would have one too.

In this video Ibrahahim has taken the role of that of a "criminal attorney lawyer" instead of a fair car journalist, ni kama amelipwa🤣🤣...anatetea this car so much, but for 3.5m, this car is just not worth it, this one shortchanges the buyer: it's cramped, slow, front wheel drive, even it doesn't come with engine struts, instead it comes with a "chuma-ya-doshi"....aah apana, for 3.5M, just no. A BMW x1 is way much better. This is the "premio" version of a Mercedes benz. Just overpriced.
