Do love seeing cars like this being used on track. Something about a big powerful saloon or estate being driven as intended. Colour is lovely too!

After tracking a X5M from this generation a dozen times, you absolutely need to be in sport plus with all nannies off to get the grip you need. When you do that you'll have porsches in your rear view ;)

I find that with MPS4S the traction issues are pretty minimal on warm dry days

The M5 is something else. If the traction this has really was as limited as you describe, I can see why they went with 4WD for the F90 M5. Unreal how effectively that puts the power down

That's me in the white S5 ahead of you at 8.55 minutes. It's a 3.0 supercharged v6, it was at stage one on that day, roughly 438bhp Lovely to see some footage of myself, you can see it's my first ever track day, your racing line is so smooth. 👏🏽👏🏽

That's my M5. It's not really the ideal track car, but hell it's fun! It's a stock Competition but has been on the rollers at 600bhp. I've changed the springs to Eibach Prosports which help to get the power down, braided lines, ATE200 fluid and EBC Bluestuff pads.

Brilliant. Yeah, mine isn't the ideal track car but it's great all round, I've made the mistake of fitting yellow stuff pads. How are the blues?

@@giani_c The blues work well. They stand up to the abuse really well. It's a lot of car to slow down.

Test drove an F10 M5 Comp and an M6 Comp a few months ago and was left underwhelmed for a strange reason - they just didn't feel as quick as the numbers suggest, due to how refined and heavy they were. Dare I say not that engaging either. My old M140i gave me more of that "airy" feel in my stomach every time I floored it. Wasn't that thrilled considering the M6 Gran Coupé was my dream car for the longest time 🫤
