@@Conconboss 06 monte carlo ss fwd v8 , impala ss same year also v8, the mid 90's oldsmobile Arora also v8 fwd. Chevy just didn't grasp the opportunity 😕
At least Ford SEEMS to have got the idea with the bronco, branding it as a competitor to the wrangler. Then again, Ford managed to 1 up chevy in the wtf department by making the first ever Mustang EV is shitty looking crossover that's not even all that fast.
Yah, they already had all options for compact mid and full SUVs/crossovers and they decided to say fuck you to the blazer heritage by making it a run of the mill suv.. Missed a large market of offroaders. O well better for Ford.
Really should have been like what Ford's doing with the Bronco. A proper off-road body on frame SUV and a little crossover to accompany it. A two door Tahoe and this.
Soccer moms with money to blow or just anyone who doesn't know anything about cars. I can see a lot of people going into a dealership and seeing the Blazer thinking its really cool. It would be like me going into a gun shop and buying the coolest looking gun and then a gun expert tells me its a piece of shit.
It’s weirdly comforting that you guys are back and reviewing! Makes me think things might end up being alright if we’re all careful and considerate. Woot woot!
I work at A Chevy dealership and this is the exact review I would leave for this vehicle. Thanks for including a Chevy (not Camaro or Corvette) and welcome back gents!
I just traded my pilot for the AWD blazer. Now I don't feel like I'm driving a mini van. Much more fun vehicle with great sound system. Honda has some nicer features inside such as more storage but I'm still happy with the blazer.
It seems okay in the Camaro due to the lower seating position, but with Jakub in the seat, it looks like his knee would be blocking nearly all the airflow. That said, round vents are my favorite and I wish more cars used them.
@@PLK123 no not always Toyotas are oil guzzlers transmission failures and just plain out ugly and before you even talk you're going to be like oh my brother was a mechanic
I think that blzer might have been messed up a little. We own one and it seems way more responsive than the blazer in the video. Also the drive mode selector works way better on the one we have.
You people are back yayyyyy soooooo happy to seee you guys again .... It is like a million years passed seeing you guys doing actual reviews ... Sooooo happpppyyyyyy
I have driven a Ford for two years with that Ecoboost turbocharged V6, and I hate it. It surges a lot when you want power to shoot thru an intersection, etc... It is initially slow to get onto power in situation like that. I purposely shopped for a new car that doesn't rely on a turbocharger. So I'll take a small hit in horsepower from this ford engine. Did I mention how much I hated it?
Overpriced for what it is. And it is embarrassing to try and make these mommy mobile glorified baby strollers anything at all in comparison to a sports/muscle car. Just do not.
A smaller capacity turbo engine would suit a car like this more because of the extra midrange torque it would have. High revving naturally aspirated is best for lighter sports cars.
Glad you guys are back. Would really like it if you guys can do a "will it fit" segment for SUV/minivans/crossovers with simulated plywood (styrofoam) and also with dimensional lumber. Too much to ask?
Great point Yuri, the Honda Odyssey v6 was the speed racer of the soccer mom division. That engine was no joke. A friend of mine had one, and beat on that for about 200k miles.
I fell that way as well. I can't be a GM/Chevy executive and just think to myself "I'm satisfied with our new Blazer" I'd be annoyed and want a mandatory meeting ASAP to reevaluate their lineup
This is cool and neat and all. But Chevy really missed the marked with an off road suv. Even if people don’t off road them, they would definitely sell more. They got enough of the equinox on roads, why not try something different?.
@@pontiacGXPfan No, but there is a move away from gas guzzling big V8's these days. They need (a lot) more horsepower, either you put turbos on a V6 or you go V8. These days that's a no brainier.
Just wish GM would offer a turbo v6 with this making upwards of 370 HP or higher. Would be a great competitor for the Edge and other ecoboost models if it had the power numbers.
On the road again!!!! So good to see you guys back doing reviews for real!!! Edit... you guys could probably keep doing the virtual reviews for cars that we don't get in North America. That would be cool.
The AWD knob is not that difficult. You turn it in the direction of the mode you want until it stops then release. So if you’re going from FWD to AWD turn the knob to the right until stops, release, and it goes in AWD no problem.
Glad to see u guys in an actual vehicle again! So to answer the question Blazer RS is my choice all day! The Edge ST only has it's turbo v6 goin for it. Everything else is a downhill slide. I'm looking forward to seeing more reviews guys!👊🏽
i went to test drive one a week ago here in Georgetown Ontario, I'm looking for a bigger as I'm someone who had spine surgery and starting my business i actually need the space and the comfort as my current Hyundai 2013 Veloster just isn't functional for me anymore. That being said i literally had no issues changing the Blazer between its different driving modes. Was instant and i didn't really have any issues with it, very comfortable and for what i need it for its ideal, for myself, might not be for everyone else. Only thing that i hate is the price range i think max with a fully loaded one max should be 48k-50k not almost 58k. Id rather get the Caddy for the same price lol.
