Always been a fan of the Land Cruiser. Growing up in New England, I remember seeing a good bit of them. Of course it’s a little behind the times, but I think that’s part of the charm. It’s a tough, solid, well built, easy to use SUV. No huge screens and big tech features to break. Like you said they’re built to last. Unlike a Range Rover, this will still be going strong 20 years from now and everything will still work. I really wish Toyota would make a more affordable version, maybe a new FJ Cruiser kind of vehicle. That was a vehicle that wasn’t a big seller, but now you pay big $ for one if you can even find one.
I definitely wish they had a more affordable option. Good point in the price of the FJs too...they’re hard to come by and hold their value like crazy. Thanks for stopping by as always!
Great review! My LC200 is a 2019, just turned 20,000 miles. Love over landing in complete comfort and the amazing capabilities of this vehicle. Have had it in some pretty sticky situations, and it just does everything you ask of it. Honestly, the gas mileage is almost comparable to my wife’s 4Runner. Toyota, please don’t change it!! Well other than Apple Car play, my wife’s new TRD Pro just came with that. Thought it would be overrated, but no, it’s pretty cool😃👍
In my country, the government official vehicle that President uses and high politics are always toyota land cruisers. They always actualize also to the last year/ model. We're mostly a poor country but politics have a lot of money at least to be very comfortable in their luxury vehicles lol
It's a lot of vehicle for the money. It is the kind of thing that you buy and keep for a few decades. Nor would it be something like an everyday driver doing your daily errands in. When you get to this level, you have more than one car in the driveway. Would I buy one if I could afford it, I would buy one in the time it would take to write the cheque. Combine it with a small camper and you would have the perfect fishing trip vehicle. Yeah it pricy, when I started flying professionally you could buy a New Cessna 172 for around 26K now it would be well over 250 to 400k. It's what it is.
What! You guyz are crying of $90,000, in my country zero mileage if the same goes for $180,000 after taxation crazy world. Why should this car be expensive in third world nation where even fuel is 10times what many other nations sell at, anyway I believe I’ll still buy the car in less than 2yrs.
Interesting combo of features. CD 💿 player? Headlight washers-nice. Apple CarPlay-so overrated (joking). Excellent center storage. Ice chest - my dream. V8 is wonderful. If you can afford $90k, prob not worried about economy?
Thank you! Awesome to hear about your ‘03...those are great! Yeah too bad they don’t offer another option. The next gen 4Runner probably will but who knows how that’ll end up...you could look into a sequoia?
I was debating trading in my 17 4Runner and 13 RS5 for one of these and leasing a Porsche later down the road but no CarPlay and no easy solution to is killing me!
That sticker price is staggering. Definitely a handsome SUV, but 90 grand though?! Not a surprise you don't see a lot of them. If I'm paying that kinda dough, it better damn-well better last forever!
Good job Sir! Nice SUV! But 90 grand is ridiculous! I never will own one but would like to. By the time it became affordable for me it would have 200,000 miles +..
Haha man no kidding. It’s hard to imagine that price for this. When you look at everything else at this price, it’s insane. I hear ya lol...I’m with you there! 😂
In KSA land cruiser is like a camry taxi. They are everywhere. You can see 3 or 4 land cruisers during stop light. And almost all of the time those land cruisers are covered with mud, sand etc and looks haven't been experience a car wash in a year!. Lol
Thanks for the review! Love this rig and man I haggled hard to buy one of these from a few local dealers during the Covid19 lockdown hoping to get a deal. Long story short.. No-GO! I cant pay anywhere near MSRP for this. I refuse,
Serkan Ister Why do you have to keep for life? I’ve leased two different ones for 3 years each , great vehicle. Looking at this heritage to replace 2016 LR Sport
What's the point of deleting the 3rd row seats when the buyer could just remove them and store them in his/her garage? No floor dimples, what else? Weird tactic from Toyota...
Most people don’t know what this beast is or why it costs as much. I have had an FJ40, 80 series and a 200 series and they are bulletproof. I have been shopping for one ever since I turned in my 2015 lease LC. Gonna buy this time, never should have turned that in.
4runner was an 80's vehicle. If anything a 4runner is a dumbed down Land Cruiser. Not the other way around. I have a 76 LC. Older than the first 4runner by 8 years. Still running strong.
Really disappointed in the shit carpet inside. Same cheap carpet in my 4 runner. You run a vacuum cleaner over it and it frays. Other than that very nice.
No winch, no lift, no front locker, and and its on street tires they couldnt even put some decent all terrains on it. "Heritage edition" right sure thing lol. Still looks like a heavy duty rig but they are lacking real functional off road features that would be invaluable to a real Land Cruiser fan and for the price tag theres no reason for these things to not be included. For what you get Id rather just buy a TRD Pro 4runner for nearly half the price use all the left over money to modify it to my liking.
Joseph Santana I have a 2019 LC200, wouldn’t pay any extra for the Heritage. Instead replaced the stock tires with K02’s no need for front lockers, it just does everything you ask of it. My wife has a 2020 TRD Pro 4Runner, a great ride, but can’t even compete with the Land Cruiser. Ya, she now has Apple Car Play, but I have a fridge😂. It is a serious vehicle, yes expensive, but worth every bit. It is an over built tank!
Hahahahaha good one Robert! I think Apple carplay is overrated and glitchy in my truck. My 2015 Landcruiser had an incredible sound system and this one was upgraded in 2016 so I am sure it rocks like my old one. Very clear, crisp and loud AF.
