Pebble the Testicle well it’s like reviewing apples and oranges. And what would it prove or show? Just watch two separate reviews. It would be like reviewing two girls you like. They are both different and have their pros and cons.
Joshua Exactly they both have their pros and cons. No vehicle is perfect, but most navigator shoppers are going to cross shop it with the Escalade. A comparison between the two would be helpful.
To me the Lincoln Navigator is the top of the heap when it comes to luxury SUV’s. The color of the one you’re driving is my number one choice. It’s absolutely beautiful, love that shade of red. Of course I’m an old fella so that may be the difference. LOL. The interior is beautiful in that cappacino color. The new Escalade, from what I’ve seen, is a totally new with design and ride so it will definitely give the navigator a run for their money. Looking forward to your review of the new Escalade, hope it will be soon. On a side note I don’t like the wheels either, but if I could afford one of these navigators i would still wash it myself. Never found a car wash that did the right job. My wife says I’m too fussy but she knows I take a lot of pride in my cars. Have a great day and stay safe.
Owned a Lincoln MKT in the past. Two Cadillacs now (Escalade ESV & XT5), I'll take the Cadillac service experience. My brother in law has a '19 Navigator L. It's a little nicer than my '18 Escalade ESV Premium. Hate the black shiny piano plastic in both. I'm warming up to the '21 Escalade, but I also know better than to buy a first gen GM anything.
26 and I love the color also! Definitely agree about the wash, I still hand wash and clay bar my Tundra, takes me like 2 hours but worth it lol, still looks brand new!
Seriously! I'm 28 and I love the color. I used to own a 2005 Scion Tc in this color. I do not understand how this color is for old people. It's like saying bright colors like yellow, orange etc is for people of color.
Red wine colour is for people at least in their 40s. If You this kinda taste in your 20s, You are rare species bruh.. But No offense. People are different.
You definitely know when Sofyan is displeased. He repeats it half a dozen times. I do agree about the burgundy but I would not mention it as paint is only a color.
I would probably prefer this suspension setup over an air ride. Air ride is so complex and expensive when it eventually breaks. The air ride systems also add an additional 1-200+ lbs to the already massive weight of the vehicle with the additional modules, lines, compressors etc. There are new Lincoln models coming in 2022, but the Navigator won’t be one of those. My guess is it’ll probably be getting a refresh by then and offer some of the newer features found in the Aviator.
True, there hasn't ever really been a bulletproof air ride system in automotive history, they are always high maintenance whether it's Lincoln, Mercedes, or whoever. I'm sure Ford worked pretty hard on making sure it rides lovely without the need for air ride. And I hope a much more attractive and modern looking infotainment screen will be the highlight of the refresh.
I love the exterior color and the interior. I just wish Lincoln would offer the 5.0 V8 that you can get in the f150. I feel like many traditionalists go for the Escalade because of the V8
You know what would make the center screen better? If it folded away to it couldn't be seen. THAT is a sign of luxury, being able to say no to infotainment screens.
The Navigator was the first Lincoln SUV that could compete with anything in the world. I think everyone is going to love the 2022 which will be a major refresh. I expect it to look more sleek - like a large Aviator. There will also be technology and feature updates. Can't wait to see it!
I thought it was just me but he's biased towards everything now... That color is beautiful btw and looks prefect on this truck but if it doesn't have an Audi-esque digital cockpit it's a FAIL. If it doesn't have a gigantic center infotainment it's a FAIL. If it doesn't have amazing LEDs it's a FAIL.
Lincoln is starting to step their game up, I am starting to see more Lincolns on the road again. I like the Navigator but that Lincoln Aviator is so sharp
The 2021 Escalade looks decent and all but Cadillac was also 2nd to last in reliability and the Escalade is no where near as “a Elegant” as the Lincoln .
Jovaughn Gueno if you’re buying a $100,000 car your gonna be able to afford maintenance which I believe the Lincoln Navigator has good reliability scores for the class.
@@devn3813 *every American SUV/Crossover, the only thing America is good at is their muscle cars, otherwise leave it to the Japanese for everyday family vehicles
@@WilliamStewart1 Eh still there's a lot of small roads where these done suit well as well as parking lots. Plus most of the drivers can't even drive them and have no use for all that space.
I once saw a driver do an 8 point turn to get out of a target parking lot 😑. These land tanks are huge and not everyone can drive them. It’s very nice though
Love that Lincoln is actually giving colors other than white, black, silver, and white like the *cough, cough* Europeans. I also noticed that the Lincoln still has the exposed rear wiper, something that was definitely bemoaned on the non-luxury Tahoe review(although the GM triplets have had it hidden since 2015). I do believe that, as nice as the interior is(especially materials wise), Lincoln will need to seriously overhaul the dash/IP. Cadillac has seriously raised the bar in technology and esthetics. That small screen is now outclassed by far cheaper vehicles and that gauge cluster needs help ASAP. Sofyan- That's actually not the Ford chime at start up. That is the Lincoln-exclusive chime performed by the Detroit Symphony. I'm not even a Ford guy and even I knew that.😁
I'm not a fan of the dot design of the DRLs. I've just always felt it looks aftermarket. Wish they were just two continuous lines on each headlight. Also find it weird the Aviator offers second row ventilated seats and sun shades but the Navigator doesn't.
Not mine it isn’t as luruxy as this car also the technology and exterior is dated they are really falling behind in terms of their lineup and technology and design
LiberalWeirdo what does it even matter? Different car brands are made for you to choose which one you like and not i am just giving an opinion just because of reliability doesn’t mean I or you shall hate German British American car brands there’s no rule saying I shall like a car cause of reliability
I’m pretty sure the Navigator/Expedition have had an independent rear suspension now for... oh, say 20 years or so. Glad GM is going to finally take that leap into the 21st century. Now if only they could do something about those pushrod motors...
We old people have the money to buy it. It’s gorgeous. The car wash does the wheels. The outside design is strictly personal, and you should stop saying what you like and don’t like, since it has no meaning to others!
Following your logic, You should stop saying you don't like this video. Just go for a drive in your back yard. I know old people drive shiny green 1969 mustang. You don't get to represent them. Stop whining like those snowflakes
I’ve always liked Escalades for big luxury suvs but I must say these new gen navigators are beautiful those seats look comfy and roomy. Me and my brothers are all 6ft and over looks like we would fit good in there
We got the reserve in that same color. Tried to talk the wife into the X7 but that raptor motor is a beast. The touch screens in the headrest are trash though don’t waste your money like we did.
I guess people's concept vs mine of $100k is completely different? No asset guaranteed to depreciate this fast is worth $100k imo. But nice review Sofi
Their actually not to bad on depreciation, if its a reserve or the black label as they're around 70k still for an 18. Compared to the Caddy in the 50's for the platinums.
Don't get me wrong, the huge screen in the Escalade is cool and all, but which interior would you want to spend more of your time in? I think the answer is pretty clear...
I don’t care how much more power the turbocharged V6 makes, for a 100K I still want a V8. For a full size suv it should still be an option. But for a 100k I’d go with the BMW X7 or a Range Rover.
Max MX just traded in my 2011 5 series with 200k on it for my Range Rover. My BMW had no issues for the six years I had it and regular scheduled maintenance was always completed by the dealer. So go push that “until it breaks” narrative somewhere else.
Apple Carplay looks like a Playskool toy in that environment. And you're missing the point about the gauge cluster design language. It is a mash-up of old school monochrome/analog and modern technology. Very Lincoln-esque. Great design.
Lincoln needs to step it up in the technology department. Better software would have made this review better for the Navigator. Minimal customization in the screens just isn't going to cut it when Audi's digital cockpit is out there. Edit: furthermore, for $100k you better be able to customize your infotainment screens. You can do that in $30k Kia's.
coffeeinthemorning there is alot of rich parents out there but regardless that if u ask a teenager his or her dream car, it very much likely wont be an Escalade or Lincoln or Rolls royce
Greetings,Greetings That ‘s not the “Ford” Chime... that’s the Detroit Symphony Chime created exclusively for Lincoln. I am sure concerns many of us have regarding this SUV will be updated next time around. Wishing you continued success with your Channel.
Excellent review, especially the interior which as you say needs some work. I feel this is more luxurious than the new Escalade, but the Lincoln gets killed on the details like the screen setup, center console and it's missing features. Very informative review. It's time for the Navigator to get a refresh.
When I hit the Powerball, I’m getting one of these with a cow catcher mounted up front. Then every Prius puttering along in the left lane will finally learn a lesson.
Why is he talking shyt ? The color is beautiful and looks elegant and different This is the best truck ever It drives amazingly I can tell he probably got payed to talk shyt
There's no replacement for displacement. Twin turbo should be an option (and its long term reliability has already shown to be troublesome). This SUV needs the 7.3 ltr V8.
If Gensis would make a full size SUV like the new one they just dropped sitting eight people, it would be killer!! Other manufacturers would have a problem on their hands!!
Lincoln looked fantastic when it first dropped. It needed to updated almost immediately after that though. I would still get the old Escalade over this based solely on looks.
