Starting Pitching-
The Giants' starting rotation was anchored by Kevin Gausman, who had a career-best season Anthony Desclafani and Logan Webb also saw significant improvements in their performance due to changes made in their pitch arsenals.
Platoons-
The Giants also used analytics to create a strong offense by using a platoon system with Darren Ruf and Lamonte Wade in right field and at first base, then with Donovan Solano and Tommy Lastella at second base, finally with Mike Yastrzemski and Austin Slater in center field.
Resurgence of Former Stars-
The Giants also were able to use analytics to revive the careers of old former stars Evan Longoria, Brandon Crawford and Buster Posey.
