All those matches of the year were good, the one they picked was awesome. I liked 100t vs Acend -- still rewatch it sometimes! The gameplay and commentary were so good in it.
Sentinels lost in ro16 to BBG - if they are taking top 12, then Sentinels would still have been able to qualify, as they would have needed to take the 8 teams that lost in Ro16 and have them play against each other again. I also don't understand the concerns about the qualifier or round robin. If they are taking top 12 teams, then you just play until Ro16 - winners qualify, losers play against each other, the winners of those qualify again - theres your double elimination if you get a bad draw. Then for the round robin you can just make it so that only the top 6 or 8 teams qualify for the playoffs, with top 2 having a by to the semis or something, and then there are things at stake other than money
My Valorant wishlist for 2022 in regards to esports specifically: Better formats and tournaments that don't feel like they're primarily seeding at the end (This is unlikely at this juncture, but I still wish for it) For the love of god, please get your tech setups to the point where long tech pauses aren't so regular. I get that sometimes things are going to break and you can't prevent it, but it should not be happening as much for as long as it did this year. TOs, please, be better about monitoring the matches for exploits and actually consistently know and rule upon your own rules. Two instances at Champions, your premier tournament of the year, could have easily been avoided if you were more proactive
I'm pretty sure white label, third party companies do most of the heavy lifting at Riot's esports events, like VCT. The tech pauses -- which aren't at all that bad compared to what we've seen in CSGO -- are probably outside of Riot's control. I know that doesn't necessarily nullify your point (we'd all like to see less pauses), but still.... fyi.
That does go some way to explaining why its so prevalent, although ultimately its still a problem in need of fixing. It being third party does make a fix less likely though.
Not sure how you can say Hiko is not a good sova. He's at least top 3 in NA (2 maybe behind Crashies imo). 100t issue is who will play controller and IGL as you said.
As a Siege person who went into hiding and took to Valorant to pacify me during my exodus, I agree. Also on a different note, how dyou feel about where the game’s heading?
I think the precedence at 48:31 could apply to the anubis gaming guys. All the points they as the team had went to the org to allow them to join masters 3/lcq emea
Hiko's playstyle is made for the Sova role bro you can't take it away from him and replace him with a non Sova player. Either put Ethan or ec1s on Sentinel, no other option
Yay to Envy as best roster move is dumb. They didnt even make it out of groups in Champions. You overlooked the actual best roster move. Vanity to C9.. remember him. The only N.A. team to make it out of groups. Plus he was I.G.L. He should have got a nomination at least. F.N.S. nominated for what ? Envy never going to be champs with him at the in game helm.. They changed everything including coach.. they are on their way down , not up.. Just like Sentinels aren't going anywhere. No surprises. No wins. Teams who lose the element if surprise lose. Vanity surprised a lot of people . He was in Iceland with Version1, and in Berlin with C9. So two different teams I.G.L.. Vanity+Flex+ higher ranking= Vanity >yay roster move, Vanity > F.N.S. IGL
It looks like the guys don´t quite understand the reason why Onur is not vaccinated, so just to clarify: He claims that its okay to be vaccinated, but he is not against the fact of being vaccinated, but the reason why he thinks that getting vaccinated goes against his ethical values is the fact that you can lose a job, or not being able to go meet your family, etc, which in other words is what you could call "selective freedom". I don´t agree with him but his position is not that simple, if you want to make a comparison its just basically the same position (as far as I know) that Elon Musk has made public, just in a more radical way.
Y’all’s opinion on libertarianism and vaccination is so bigoted is not even funny. I actually really respect the Kru coach for standing up for what he believes in regardless if I agree with it or not. He’s not wrong when he says that if everyone else around him is vaccinated why does he need to be if it’s so effective? Tbh you guys seem to get your info from Twitter and biased media. I love the show but your political beliefs lack nuance and understanding and compassion. Disappointed. Still love plat chat tho! It’s okay to disagree and still be be cool!
> "He’s not wrong when he says that if everyone else around him is vaccinated why does he need to be if it’s so effective? " That thought process is just avoiding one's personal responsibility and shifting it to other people instead. It's certainly not something to be admired.
@@ozma2985 how is it my responsibility to protect you when you are protected? Your logic is blowing my mind. The fact of the matter is the guy believes in something enough to lose his job for it and I think it’s unfair. It’s disgusting how willing people are to be controlled by others and authorities that do not have your best interest at heart.
@@mitchellhofmann2981 Is it really unclear to you why the thinking "other people are doing __, so I don't need to" is problematic? Have you thought about what it would be like if more people thought that way?
@@danielwilliams693 Hahahaha. Not gonna lie you prolly right but I resonate a lot with that he says. Appreciate the friendly argument! Thanks for not being an asshole😂😉
