Interesting... I’ve been all over those hills and have never heard Kenny’s story. Drop the pin on the valley that exits those mountains. I’d like to check it out next time I’m up there. Also, just a quick observation... if that was truly his last video and he didn’t find it, he probably changed his path slightly to cover a different area. No sense in getting skunked twice. That more dangerous valley at the end of this video looks interesting. Also, Kenny gave some horrible advice on his video... he said he liked to go as far as he can without water before drinking. I use to be a military instructor who would road march for miles with soldiers and have seen dozens of people drop from dehydration. If you start tripping that’s usually a sign to stop and drink. If you blow off some of these minor signs you will end up disoriented without realizing it eventually ending up face down in the dirt. If no one is there to loosen clothing, splash water on you and elevate your feet... it’s game over especially at an older age. I was hours away from death on a sheep hunt due to dehydration and I’m one who can go miles without water. I downed several bottles of water and still had a huge headache. I walked into the ER that night and they said I was hours away from potential death due to my age (40s). Another man had died the day before for the same reason so it’s a lot more common than we think in the desert. Anyway, it’s an interesting story and anyone who goes out.... drink water 😉
electrolyte not water , drinking water alone makes dehydration worse , I think you will have powerade in the US as well , always take a few bottles with when you go on a long hike or run
The FBI claimed he communicated with himself over the internet several times from different vpn's since his 'disappearance'. He had some asset debt he might have been running from... But what do I know
That is a prime snake area.... it would be interesting to forensically find out what happened to him.... its only a guess but it makes one wonder if he got bit by a snake in an area that disabled him quickly.... He then died and his bones were scattered by coyotes etc.... We may never know.... but lets hope the mystery gets solved .....
@Long Way We did it and got shut down in flight! They locked the drone, remotely, and we couldn't fly it until we took a test and passed it.Very strange.
@@Apiaman1 strange lol you are in a restricted area using a drone. and you find it strange what happened afterwards..next time try to go as close as you can of a military base and take pictures ,you will see some "strange" things happens to you too 🤦♂️
A lot of the time when we find something cool in the bush, it's because it is off the path and out of the way. While we remember roughly where it was, we sometimes forget that we approached from a weird direction or went off trail to pee. A rockslide, a new plant, or a weird fold in the ground could obscure the entrance, too. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the M Cave existed in that area, either in scary valley or up along the hillside. Great video! I second the idea of a drone mission.
I think the M cave definitely exist, Kenny wasn’t sure exactly where he saw the cave at and being that he was so shaken up by the vibes, it made him confused about his area. I personally think it higher up then like he first said.
Vibes are stupid. That is what a liar says. He just felt scared. Vibes.... Jesus. Its the same reason why one person will think there are ghosts in a room, while another doesn't feel it at all. Because it is all in yer head. The M Cave sounds like a story that some weirdo made up, after finding a sort of interesting thing. The M cave is a crap story from a crap source who believed in vibes. There are tons of people just like Kenny, and they often are narcissistic liars. OR they are depressed and it makes them feel better to find meaning in having made a "discovery"
@@jf8138 stfu also vibes matter and he had depression and you said I would make them feel better lieing well he committed suicide so wtf he was a good person to
I enjoy you talking about and explaining the landscape, erosion and artifacts. I grew up with my Mom talking to me like this and it's become a part of my thought process during all outdoor adventures.
Really enjoyed the series. I can see it was hard on you, the terrain etc, but since hiking isn't my thing, I appreciate you bringing this to me and explaining all the formations and geo stuff. Very interesting. I think the poor man wanted to not be found and was more than able to accomplish that given his experience. RIP Kenny.
I don't think he's Dead if you wouldve like to pronounce to be dead and get. A job as a secret agent the only thing to do is find something scarry or something weird and than never be heard of again
I love it when you’re talking about the hike and you say the hike that “WE” just did. My lazy ass is watching this on my iPad. Thanks for doing all the work.
Yeah, that small cave/overhang is right out of the period correct descriptions of what they would use in that time frame. Really neat to see one. Also, really neat to see one without graffiti or modern vandalism.
I've been hiking in areas like this for years and its easy to get off track and be miles off course, but by his video you did good thanks for taking us along
Thank you so much for those videos. I'm impressed I've found anyone looking for M Cave in 2021. I appreciate you followed Kenny Veach's steps and filmed the area in good quality. The M-cave might not existed but I'm not even interested in that cave, I'm interested in human, in his story. People tend to consider conspiracy theories more likely than facts and psyche, which is sad and unfair. Fantastic videos and hope to hear the solution of Kenny Veach's case. Greeting from Norway.
Thank you for posting your hikes around that area. Kenny's M Cave mystery has always interested me, the vivid way he described his perceived encounter with the cave did make me wonder if he might have not eaten and drank enough when/if he entered a cave, and that perhaps a little bit of dehydration and exhaustion caused him to hallucinate a little. You certainly covered a lot of ground and I guess either he was wildly incorrect about the proposed caves location, or he was using some poetic license for entertainment reasons. Looking at some of those drops, and seeing how the ground is very uneven, I am certain he probably ventured higher, took a chance on jumping across or down, and badly injured his ankle and/or leg. Such a shame. Anyway, I'm new to your Channel so I'll certainly be back again. Thanks again for uploading this, you went to a lot of trouble to find the 'M' cave. I'm sure had it been located where Kenny described it, you'd have found it.
i agree with you but one thing to note is the kenny’s camera was found in a mineshaft which means if he did hurt himself he made it to a mineshaft which would be weird to do if injured but is quite possible
I had a great time following your trip looking for Kenny’s M cave and Kenny. Thanks so much for sharing your hike. I am in New Jersey so I have a completely different terrain then this and it was so much fun seeing the rocks, mountains and desert. Have a beer for me! 🍺 🏜 🌵
Maybe, or maybe he simply wanted his death to be a mystery instead of letting his loved ones find out that he was depressed and desperate and lonely and just wanted to die. He invented the M-cave as a cover story. This case reminds me of how pets on the brink of death will wander off long distances and conceal themselves in crevices or under structures where they will die completely alone and in complete seclusion.
The M cave isn't bs, a youtuber found it and there really was something off about it, a nail in a rock, strong airflow coming from a single spot, unusual cracks on the inner walls etc
@@souhailthedabboy There is nothing off about any of that. That is typical of just about every mine tunnel in Nevada. I have personally seen several mine entrances shaped as the letter M. It is caused by partial collapse that's retained in the middle by sagging timbers, usually. Most of the oldschool mines will have secondary shafts dug somewhere in the hills to provide draft/ventilation to the main workings and it is also not unusual for drafts to permeate through fractures. Nails in rock were a typical way to hold up conductors or airlines.
I am haunted by any disappearance of someone in the wild. I think most people are. A young man went missing in Southern Utah a few years ago. His parents thought he had gone to school but when he didn't return they found his wallet, phone and what appeared to be a suicide note. People have been searching for him in the desert surrounding St. George, Utah for years. Suicide or not their friends and family never get closure. It's a terrible thing.
I am too. Someone avove mentioned the documentary Missing 411. After watching that, I can’t forget these very sad stories especially when these people, verified by friends and family, were skilled outdoorsman.
Ole Chigg....such a great re-creation of a hike taken by a troubled soul who never returned. We look forward to all your adventures Beau, and this one certainly captivated us. Your emotions were clearly evident in your final remarks, and I'm sure your ride back home was very reflective! Rest up.....and we'll await your next video. Thanks !!
Love the show! I'm a newcomer to it, that phrase you said at the end of a video, is one I know well, and there is only one place you will here it! Semper Fi bro!
Agreed the cave might have been just a "desert rat" story to attract followers. I have to say though, that I live out in the boonies in a very similar kind of environment - and back when I was out hiking and Jeeping the back country on a more regular basis, there were many times that we found interesting features, but were unable to relocate them again on a subsequent visit without GPS.
Great job of lining up your visit with his video. Having been thru the SW many times, I know how much time of day can affect the appearance, as shadows will hide features, while sunshine can make it look completely different. Even the weather and time of year can make it difficult to replicate Veach's video.
Excellent search! Highly informative and I think you did a great and thorough job! if the cave exists at all, it is probably somewhere else and he mis-remembered where he saw it. Or perhaps he just made something up, knowing he was going to committ suicide and wanted to leave an unsolvable riddle for people to wonder over and follow in his steps. If so, it worked.
Poor Kenny. Poor you. What a hike! Can’t blame you for taking a rest. I am so glad there weren’t any more snakes. I noticed a few small caves up higher, and they looked real hard to get at. I know this might sound silly, but I heard that dousing rods can sometimes locate buried bodies. 🤔hmmmm
Great video, but I grew up in desert-like that and you can be right on top of an entrance and not see it, and the smallest entrance can turn out to be the door's largest caves. Found more than a few by watching for bats coming out at dusk.
I found your search for Kenny very interesting. It was unfortunate that he wasn't found, but found your knowledge about the agave pits and paintings enjoyable.
For as much as he was into showmanship, Kenny made the first video to set up his suicide or faked disappearance. He set his phone down so, but they searched that area thoroughly. He didn't take a camera to document anything. This was intended to be his final journey and intended to be a mystery. His last hurrah. Maybe the shark tank should have bought one of his dubious 'inventions'.
His girlfriend stated in the comments on his last video that he suffered from severe depression. His father had commited suicide when Kenny was in his twenties and it affected him badly. The guy had had enough sadly.
I think, he couldn't convince one of his buddies for this trip and the schedule is getting tight - if you hike there a month later, it might get to0 much heat, a lot more dangerous and many snakes may be out too.
Thanks for taking us along on your search/hike, the scenery was beautiful. I've watched other people's videos searching for Kenny and the M cave they all seem to end the same. It's sad if he is out there and never found but who knows? Thanks Chigg.
Nope that’s just nature, there’s no portal. You watch to many movies and believe they’re real. Either Kenny believed it was there, or he said it was there to make it mysterious for a RU-vid video.
@@Leanne_w No offense, but are you the arbiter of truth? There are plenty of things undiscovered and unknown. To state that such and such doesnt exist is only ignorance and a limitation on the capacity of growth for man. I mean, underground bases exist, entrances to subterranean caves and layers are a very common thing with this planet. I would imagine Groom Lake, Area 51, and the military bases in the area, definitely have underground elements to them. Maybe this "M" cave was simply a ventilation shaft or an emergency exit route from one of these underground bunkers. Until someone finds it and can document it, it remains a mystery.
It is a good thing you are doing this trek while you are young! Awesome little adventure Chigg and hope one day to make it out again to that area to do some hiking and exploring. Thanks for posting and take care and glad you made it safe. Mike in sunny Florida
Did you see Scott Nuttall's YT videos? They are pretty interesting and extensive. He even went down into the mine and saw it was collapsed or purposely filled in around another ladder at the bottom. I believe the M cave is that M-shaped hollow up on the wall of the canyon that you see early on. Kenny said he never actually got close to the M cave because she says he felt vibrations and was freaking out before he ever got close to it. So the cave is mainly a figment of his imagination, or else it is in one of the side canyons, although Scott extensively explored those.
Scott is awesome! I watched every single one of Scott's vids and if ol Kenny was up yonder breathing or not Scott would have layed eyes upon him! Scott didnt leave not one cave untouched, one thing Scott did find in the wash though (just down from pine nut pass or whatever he called it) was those pair of boxer underwear! Sure it could have been anyone's but HE NEEDED to gather them in a bag and take them in in case dna or something else could have been done to identify who's sweaty butt crack those came from. Think about the start distance and where the phone finally end up by the mine shaft. The mine shaft is a long ways away from the vehicle start point. The end point of the canyon is a long ways from the vehicle where he started. At some point he made the video, he said he has been there many times in the past, he walked to the mine shaft set the phone down and moved on with his life.
Wonderful trilogy here! An interest in Kenny Veach's disappearance bought me here, but I wouldn't mind seeing your other videos. Also, as a Brit, I cannot even imagine what it must be like to have to consider the possibility of running into mountain lions. That would make me extremely nervous 😅
I think he wanted to disappear. The phone on the mine shaft was too convenient. I bet he had a burner phone and someone picked him up. Maybe he owed back taxes or child support. Maybe he wanted to create a legend. I bet he is alive somewhere. Great of you to take us along. Thanks!😀😀

I love to see tht Arizona back country watching your videos . Thanks for sharing.. Kennys story has me intrigued aswell . Nevada has some beautiful desert country.
The thing about dying way out in the desert is that coyotes and mountain lions consume the body, then the bones get dragged around and flash floods move them around. If the body isn’t found soon after death it can be almost impossible to find later. Unfortunately there are a lot of disappearances in the desert and even just an injury or lack of water can become fatal rather quickly. You can see from this video how isolated from any help you would be. There’s no cell phone signal either sometimes.
Thanks Chigger for taking us with you. It sounds like it was a brutal hike dude, well done! I am wondering if a cave may have collpased on Kenny, or that was a covered up cave found by Libera'sean Kenny had seen... I hope we find Kenny in my lifetime. All the best!
I just watched that video last night after seeing the first two. His theory is a little out there of the government/military covering up the entrance although you can definitely see the holes leading somewhere. I would think they would have just collapsed the entrance thoroughly and left it at that, especially if he was inside at the time. If anyone eventually found it and found him his death could be blamed on a cave in. As long as they didn’t shoot him of course. I’m also not sure about his analysis of the rocks not belonging as you can see lots of areas where the ground has folded and buckled and the layers no longer match up. Need to send a scope camera into those holes and see what’s behind the outside layer.
This was a great journey to try and uncover a little bit more about this mystery. But I do think he was lying about there being an actual 'M' cave. His girlfriend said his phone was left by that one open cave in his video that he even said looked like you could die just by falling down the entrance. I am assuming he went deep down into that initial cave and found a place to 'rest' so to speak. Maybe there should be more detailed expeditions through that cave itself. Since that is the last 'known' place he was with his phone... Still sad that he is still missing, but at this point its pretty much confirmed he is dead.
Your beer burps probably shook a few boulders loose. I absolutely love going on adventures with you. I feel like I’m with you but my legs never get any stronger. Keep educating us Mr. Chigg. You’re the best and my favorite teacher of all things nature.
If his story about the M cave is real and correct, I suspect he found something he shouldn't have and by the time he went back it had been covered over somehow. Loved these videos regardless, many thanks for taking us on a beautiful, if brutal-for-you, hike. Stunning mountains and formations. Stay safe Chig :)
Yes but it still wouldn’t explain how he went missing if the cave was already covered up I think he just got really depressed trying to find it or I don’t know
I think Kenny left his phone so that someone would find it. It was a symbolic move of disconnecting with the world, i.e., people, situations, and the like. His old life ended there...his new life started just a few steps beyond there. He's alive and well somewhere. He doesn't want to be found. He said nobody would find him. He made an air tight plan and went on to live it. I've watched his video...he doesn't talk and sound depressed. He sounded relatively happy IMO. A lot of his words were symbolic....not literal.
He said nobody would find him and he was correct. The desert is massive and desolate and there are millions of places to hide a body. And for someone smart like Kenny who did not want anybody to know he committed suicide, he could have wedged himself into a rock crevice somewhere else and shot himself. The myth of the M-Cave was a ruse to throw people off the notion that he committed suicide. There are two kinds of people who commit suicide: ones who are only halfway serious looking for attention and ones who genuinely crave to end their existence. Kenny was smart, he knew that terrain well, and if he did not want his body to be found you can bet your ass his body will not be found for at least 100 years or until the area he died in gets urbanized.
@@jackhoff3910 Correct. His girlfriend outlined in the comments of his upload that he suffered from severe depression. His money was running out,he found it difficult to connect with finding a job and his own father took his life when Kenny was in his twenties. The area is huge.He found a place.
But one thing is he’s in a desert he would easily do you hydrated hungry yes he probably had stuff in his backpack but that wouldn’t last long definitely last for two days trust me I don’t know this usually when you are in a desert you tend to have like a water drinking problem and then you’re just going to get more hungry the more you walk that back with only be able to carry enough food and water for two days and honestly that is true he did say no one was going to find him but that doesn’t mean he’s alive honestly why would he just abandoned everything he loved his wife his family there’s no explanation really

I watched a series of vids someone else had made that went to investigate the area also and that poor fella...... I'll tell ya under the definition of "Determination" it says his name under it! Myself, I highly doubt ol Kenny is up their...... alive or dead.
In your part 2 video at 1:07 you are looking at Kenny's video around the 15:39 mark, Kenny is describing the area is just like that and he pans past some rocks that are discolored and they are wedged into a crevice and next to where they are wedged to the left is a spot where it appears rocks have been removed or fallen away from the darker rocks but there are no rocks in front of the lighter colored area. If the rock face had fallen away to reveal the lighter rock then where is the rock that fell away unless it was used to block the entrance to a cave. Some guy named Sean did several videos looking for Kenny, he also did one called the M Cave cover up. It's a little overboard but I think it has merit about the cave being blocked. You have to go to about the middle to where he is at the spot he believes is the M Cave.
Funny u mentioned that o wondered that to. Where the chuck of rock go then. Cause i disnt see it. Unless over the yrs just broke up into small pieces and its intresrinf thoery for sure.
He mentioned that he felt like it or himself was vibrating. I have always wondered if maybe his 6th sense was telling him there was an animal or something in that cave. And that was why he chose not to go into it. He also mentioned that he was not going to go back into without some kind of weapon.
Somebody did a really in depth video on him, going through his liked videos and stuff. He was watching weird "awakening" stuff that mentioned vibrations. It sounds like he got it from that... I dont think the m cave existed.
I loved this! Well done on making a 10 hour hike look easy, i sure wouldnt have made it. I hadn't heard of the M cave before this so i am now off to look it up and maybe see the video you had on your phone. It has got me wondering if there is a cave somewhere but he didnt really want to let on where because the route he took seems a little odd like you said.
Kennys route is not as odd as chigger says. Coming from the other directions is not that easy. Picture canyon gains elevation from west going east so instead of coming down the canyon, you are climbing the whole time. Also, there is no trailhead close, you have to either park on Joe May rd, where chigger parked, or you have to park on Cow Camp rd to the north. Either way, it is a long hike just to get to Picture canyon on the desert. Or you can park on Cow Camp at Cow Corral and climb into the mountains and head south like Sean did once. Look at the route maps in my channel.
It’s incredibly easy to walk off and never be found in wilderness areas. My husband’s family had a member do that very thing years ago and no trace was ever found and that was what was intended.
Im sure theres a video on youtube of a guy that found the M cave but it was caved in, he did a side by side of the footage from kennys footage to the caved in one and everything matched up except that the cave was basically gone due to a cave in.
Scott Nuttall was standing on top of Kenny at the bottom of that cave that was collapsed, that's why he left the phone on its front porch. But here's the kicker, Kenny buried himself on purpose
@@ethandubray9394 I think he means that Kenny climbed down the wooden ladders in that vertical shaft, dug a hole at the bottom of the mine in the loose dirt, climbed inside the hole he created and reached around the rim to pull the dirt back over his entire body, and along with him was a sidearm pointed at his own head and he held his breath until he pulled the last bit of dirt into the hole with him then shot himself before he suffocated while buried. It sounds far fetched, but sometimes the far fetched is actually the truth.
Exactly he pointed the direction where he is at with the phone being left by the entrance of the mine. And he was suffering from depression and I think some significant pain in his legs. And what better way to add mystery to legend than a mysterious cave and and a dissapearence which results in a cult following
@@nebraskanassassin6058 It's horribly sad if this is actually what happened. I wish it's not true, but I believe it is. Kenny killed himself and he did not want anybody to know it and never wanted anybody to find his body to prove it.

Have u watched Sean Libres(spelling )videos he searched for M cave too and had a good idea...he was pretty positive someone blocked the entrance ..u should watch his
If he was in the canyon and got caught in a flash flood, it is very possible he could have been knocked off his feet and shoved up under an overhanging rock, drowned there, and the gravel was washed over him. Or he could be alive someplace else and just made it look like he was dead.
I think the M cave is a figment of his depression. He said he was afraid to go inside etc. I think he was afraid of killing himself inside due to his depression. His M cave is just some cave or place he decided to kill himself.
I agree. I had a friend do something very similar. He left his phone at home and grabbed the gun, went to a Cardinals game, drove 400 something miles to Mississippi and left us. He used cash the whole way except one credit transaction at a gas by where he was.
@@redrider7730 Yeah. I read the original post. You can look her up Sayron Pilgrim youtube channel... I think.. something like that. She has like a remember video where she made that original post.
I think he mentioned his cold beer waiting for him in his truck a few times to manufacture doubt in his intent to kill himself. He knew where he was going was remote and he wasn’t likely to be found. I think he liked knowing that.
I also want to mention that we all need to bring attention to mental health. We need to be more open and help people out, even when we think they are doing better. We all have to do better to help.
I agree, you followed the second video, when Kenny could not find it back. I though i seen footage where was in front of the cave where he got the shivers. (cant find it back so quick anymore) But it is logical that when following his video where he was not able to find it, caused you not to find it. But i enjoy your video's and i go quickly watch the december series of your search. Thank you for your nice video's.
Well done first of all! You're a boss pulling up to sleep out there too! With things you said and things I've thought looking at Google maps, the first trip he made he most likely followed the easy path to get that hike done. However, on his second trip he undoubtedly to me, would have veered off and explored. His mind may have been focused on the main route though as he recalled it in his video. If the M cave exists, it would definitely be off that main route he took in his last video. I don't remember him saying it was up high yet do remember him saying it was on the side of the mountain as he pointed from the mine. Looking at Google maps, there's many places that go up and along the mountain to the left off the main route. So he could have very well went off to explore something and found the M cave on his way back down through the canyon. This to me is the most probable scenario IF the M cave exists.
It's been awhile since I was really into the search shortly after he became missing. As I recall, the reason he took the "long route" in the video you were watching was because he was retracing a previous trip. Someone was cyber bullying him and calling him a lier about the cave so he wanted to take the same path. I found a distinct looking M on a hill inside a canyon from Google Earth satellite. Unfortunately, that phone died with my screen shots on it. I searched for hours all over that mountain area and took lots of screen shots. I would do it again if I knew someone would field verify the data. Even though I'm in Nevada too, Las Vegas is still 415 miles away and at my age, I not wandering around that area alone. Thanks for posting your trip.
That guy was innit just so he can make money off people's backs, so we don't talk about him. He used a dead man to grift, that's the lowest of the low.
