You're in good company, Miles. Lots of agreement that the V8 is the sweet spot in the Flying Spur series. Electrification works well in large, heavy vehicles, but in the Bentley league it's the all-around excellence of the powerplant that does the talking. The all electric Bentley will be here soon, so this may be the last call for the supreme petrol driving experience. The Flying Spur Hybrid will give more time for the V6, but I wouldn't wait long on this variant either. Gasoline power will soon be history, and these Are, the Good ol' Days. Thank you, Miles!

Depends on what you mean by soon? In reality, soon means something will happen not long from now. In reality, in case of combustible fuels and especially in cars, it’s at least 8 decades if not never because we soon will be getting e fuels. Battery cars will move away in favor of fuel cell electric vehicles, this will happen “soon”, if you can call that 15 years from now.

I love this Hybrid Bentley! You get all of the luxury and comfort, even more silence and refinement, all without a guilty conscience due to the electricity, you're no longer destroying the planet :) I really like Hybrids in general for this reason (I don't like EVs, just hybrids for now.) but this Bentley and other luxury cars are just the perfect fit to be Hybrids.

I’m thinking seriously about this, the V8 version, or the Bentayga. And that exterior color is my second choice! But I’d do the interior in light blue primary, darker blue secondary, and blue stained woodwork. But that’s what’s great about Bentley! You can get them any way you want.

what is going on with the screen at 6:59? It looks like "thinking" from the computer. Also, please tell me what radar detector you are using? Great look!

The infotainment definitely took a while to load (had to exit the main screen, then return to it to override the pinwheel). No radar detector, just a RaceBox 0-60 timer. Here's a link: www.racebox.pro/ If you use my code (MILESPERHR5), you get a 5% discount, too!

Beautiful. I have a 2014 Flying Spur with only 27 thousand miles. I get a kick out of the emails my Bentley dealer sends me all the time. I can get a new one for only $4300 a month lease, plus tax and license and $20,000 down. AND only allowed 3 thousand miles a year! the new ones are very nice though.

I don't understand making this a hybrid? Gas prices are not a concern if you can afford a car like this. This is not a daily driver or travel car you would put 10,000-15,000 miles per year. It would be like putting sails on your $100 million dollar yacht to save money.. Make it 100% electric or 100% ICE seems to be what I would want at this price point.

What about gas guzzler taxes...that would take some of the 10K savings for the V8 over the hybrid.....also it like 140 dollars to fill up the V8 at this late March 2022 period in time...not that its cheaper to fill up the V6, same tank size I think, its just gives an extra 6MPG which in part make it cheaper vs the V8. What I am waiting on is the fully electric carbon fiber body version of the flying spur that get 400 miles per charge..now that would be 300k+ dollars but I think it would sell over the others if they did a few fully electric versions.

You can afford something (anything) only if you don’t finance it. Buyers won’t be worrying about the cost of a tank.

Really, 10K in savings or expensive gas won't be a dealbreaker for the Flying Spur buyer. To spend over $200K on a car means you don't sweat accumulated expenses in the same way us "normal" people do.

Over a 1/4 million dollars... I think they could have dispensed with the Audi steering wheel. I mean, even the button on it are basically the same... for this price point, that's just more lazy cost cutting by the Germans. Disappointing.

There is no such thing as a "Dool" clutch ... try using consonants and vowels It's a big part of the English language. A E I O U ....(Vowels) if within one of each other or next to each other, in a word the higher sound is activated. I.e. OO sound. But 'dual' has a pair off vowels next to each other, again enhancing the first vowel. . Meaning the 'U" is optimised the 'you' sound ... so ..... D-YOU-L Not D-OO-L
