Remember how crazy good the Lincoln Navigator was when it was redesigned in 2018? Well... some new competitors have showed up to challenge this vehicle, would you still go for this? Or choose the new Escalade and/or Jeep Grand Wagoneer?
This vehicle is more in line with the GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate. The Cadillac Escalade feels a step above something like this despite really nice features like the rear massaging seats which competitors don’t offer. Lincoln is still missing the mark for me. Just my opinion.
Always liked the Lincoln lineup. I consider the Navigator the top of the SUV market when it comes to luxury. The other models, like the Aviator, give you great styling and luxury. Great video.
I personally think the escalade and the grand wagoneer look a bit more "ooohh ahhh" but the navigator is very nice still. 2nd row massaging seats are incredible. Kudos to Lincoln for a good full size SUV. A good truck for what it's primarily built for.
It’s a great vehicle and I would love to have one. The MPG ruined it for me for an SUV and I think Lincoln needs to come out with a hybride and additional engines.
Seems weird to have massaging seats in the back, but missing some of the basic rear seat features (power adjust and window shades - not even manual shades…) Seems like a big oversight at this price point for segment standards…
@@technom3598 Ture I think that window shades look cheap at expensive cars, just use sunglasses already. Also electric second row is dangeous for third row passengers in case of an emergency.
I don’t know what survey process that Lincoln used to see whether, or not there was any demand for the PowerBoost Full Gas Electric Hybrid Engine could be a viable option for the refreshed version of the new Lincoln Navigator. If California is any indication, Lincoln will have no other choice but to build full electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles.
Cars are not depreciating anymore since there are no rebates and incentives to devalue the vehicle. Next have years with 70k miles, it's still still work $70-80k of course it's an honest guess
I like the fewer amount of screens, the Escalade and the Wagoneer just seemed too busy with the screens and it just seems too “fake” the navigator is a bit more contemporary I guess,
Depending on how you define the segment (if the GLS and X7 are in it or not) the massaging rear seats is not a class exclsuive feature, as V8 GLSs can have them too. Between the Jeep offering heated and cooled rear seats, this offering heated/cooled/massage rear seats, the X7 having power heated rear seats, and the GLS having power heated/cooled/massage rear seats, the Escalade seems a little basic in the rear seats, which is disapointing given how much they're used as livery and as celebrity chauffer cars.
I would consider the Navigator but even with the refresh, the Nav already looks dated by virtue of the Grand Wagoneer and Escalade's new offerings. ALOT of piano black in the Nav and hard plastics that look cheap to me. The Grand and Escalade both have much more compelling interiors, IMO.
I don't like black wheels, I don't think you can see the design pattern. Against the white car, black chrome around the body would look awesome and and hide some of the bulk.
I don’t like the slapped on iPad. I will like to speak with the engineers about what were they thinking when they put that slapped on, big iPad looking screen in it. I’m sorry but the interior in the front is horrendous😔.
as an American, I often wonder why Americans need huge cars. in Asia and Europe, they all got families too but none of them are driving huge suvs...is it more of a mentality or status thing rather than necessity? it's not like Americans are having significantly more children...right? I mean European roads are smaller so maybe it's that they can't drive big cars...?
Don't buy a 2023 Navigator. They have a known vibration problem at highway speeds. Dealers and Lincoln Engineering acknowledge the problem but say they have no fix. Deal killer for the Navigator.
I was thinking about buying a navigator but at the price point they want with no Air Shocks or skid plates.. also the IP looks the same and it's a poor design...
What is up with Ford leaving engine shrouds off their engine bays? Looks like a mess of wires and hoses like the new full size Bronco. Got to be the ugliest engine bay in the segment. $105K and it looks like that??? Com'on man!!!
Lincoln is designing American style luxury vehicles not Lexus vehicles. The buyer's probably don't even cross shop the Japanese Korean or Europeans. Their competition is Cadillac and Jeep.
This vehicle is an example of excess and not in a good way. It's boxy and not particularly handsome. Factoring all, I would pass on this model. If I had the money and the ego to match, I would probably choose the Escalade and if I came to my senses, I would skip everything in this segment and step down a couple of notches and get a fully loaded Kia Telluride or Hyundai Palisade, save $40k and not feel bad at all.
the navigator took the segment way forward in 2018, but the industry responded immediately. What they did then, they can do again, but that was risky before. lincoln probably just needs stable sales.

I drove one of these today and it was amazing. Felt like riding on clouds and had plenty of power for such a big vehicle. I liked the interior better then the Escalade as well. Much more plastic and plain feel in the Escalade. Jeep was nice when I drove it, but I’ve seen so many horror stories in groups
The funny thing is that the Navigator and Expedition actually feel like small cars in terms of driving feel They dont feel big at all, you wont understand unless you drive one
Got a 2021 Navigator reserve only option I have is the revel upgrade and the perfect position seats and I agree it doesn’t match the German company’s for fancy technology and it doesn’t draw any attention as my trucks silver literally draws zero looks as compared to Escalades and Mercedes big trucks but that’s what makes it great to me I ride in my cocoon of silence in the massage seats in the softest settings and it’s the most relaxing part of my day I love it simple American luxury and comfort.
Is it me or does the carpet look horrible in this video. Especially when he opened the back. Heck im pretty sure I saw a stain in it at around 6 mins in. It looks like its a couple years old already...lol.
Its a good thing lincoln did not put air suspension, air suspension is the worst, and it always needs maintenance. It usually breaks after a few years and personally, it doesnt make much of a difference. Good vehicle to buy.
No soft close doors even as an option is a huge mistake. Lincoln was ahead for a while, but they’re slipping I feel like. Hopefully they make another jump next year.
Owner of a 2023 here. Ergonomics and dealer experience are a major reason I chose this over anything else. I feel like Ford/Lincoln designs amazing interiors.
Same, and I LOVE the pickup/delivery service. Not having to ever go in for service, even as simple as an oil change, is dramatic. They literally came to my house, and left a Navigator loaner, every time.
I personally feel Ford should ve put this motor in a performance sedan like Mustang as a special V6 offering It could ve been a HUGE tentative to lot of German Japanese V6/i6 turbos
When you pay a lot of money for a car, you don't want something "simple and gets the job done." Not too impressed and I have the X-Plan to get one of these. I will have to think about it more now. Thank you for your reviews.
I actually liked beautifull rural green fields and homes. As for the Lincoln Navigator the exteroir of this SUV is to plane, the interior is OK so I would not buy it.
Excellent as a business vehicle imo. I love the Nav because it's functional luxury to me. Can't see myself hauling anything but the wife in an Escalade so the Nav has been my go to. I have one now and ready to upgrade.
This is nice the rear was a huge afterthought on the pre-refresh and it was so obvious. This looks much better. Still not nearly as distinctive or as intricately designed as the Cadillac Escalade’s 3-foot OLED taillights.
The escalade will fall apart within 3 months of owning it. My girlfriend friend's dad used to have a 2021 escalade and the transmission blew out around 5,800k miles. Good riddance he got rid of it and got himself an Lexus LX.
@@maga6319 its hard to beat toyota/lexus long term reliability, but it is nice to have the cargo capacity (with the 3rd row up) of the suburban/escalade esv.
@@joecool9739 thats the point i was making, getting a vehicle with the passenger seating and cargo capacity of a suburban with the long term reliability of a toyota. toyota/lexus could easily compete with chevy and ford if they offered a longer sequoia/lx model.
Fantastic looking "car". Totally Impractical for 90% of British roads but I'd still have one. The MPG is Mental but you have to be rich to buy it but American Fuel prices are mega cheap anyway!🇬🇧❤
I like the design a lot more than the BMW X5 and even the escalade, the interior is shockingly nice for a ford product, one of the nicest luxury SUV interiors I've seen, way better than that damn overpriced catastrophe G wagon.
The only reason to consider the new "updated" Navigator is the 2nd row seating. I have always thought these large luxury vehicles should make the 2nd row as nice as the front. of course the 2nd row should be massaging, heated and cooled along with a super nice center console. The problem with the Nav is the refresh unlike your comments was not extensive. The front screen is a little bigger but still sticking up like a sore thumb. Not a luxury look. Looks like someone just decided to mount a small tv on the dash. Unfortunately with this Nav this is your dads Lincoln. Outdated. For the Cadillac they missed the 2nd row. Otherwise it would be a grand slam. Grand Wagoneer while the interior is awesome I just cannot get past its still a jeep and the outside is school bus like.
I like the Navigator, it has enough room for my family and stuffs. However I would choose the bench seat for the second row. In general it's a nice vehicle
Cadillac has the name, especially celebrities, but Lincoln doesn't disappoint. I have a '23 Navigator with all the bells and whistles. $120K+ out the door. For me, customer service is huge. Lincoln comes to your house, drops off a $100K loaner, so you can have an oil change in your pajamas. Will Cadillac do that? That's standard with Lincoln. It's a really refined, luxurious, experience. I find more elegance in a simplistic center console and main display. I don't need a V8 when the Twin-Turbo is excellent, faster, and quiet. I can relax to my 28-speaker Revel music instead. I'm in my 30's, working at home, and enjoy the exclusivity.
Oh wow so great 👍 and very beautiful 😍❤️ and the engine 🚂🚒 very strong and powerful for the off 🛣️ road 💪🛣️ or high way and very good design with the new 🆕 technology for the new 🆕 generation hument and very easy to drive and comfortable ❤.
Duude...please show light controls, rear ac vents properly! You make videos of vehicles to show them to the people, and not to show them to yourself and satisfy, right? Then why aren't you covering everything in detail. If you wish to exhibit your videos to people then you gotta show everything fully dude, without skipping nooks and corners. You used to show everything back in the day nicely. But nowadays it feels so rushed up. This is so disappointing.
The Escalade does has a little more swagger but the navigator has a better build quality and has more power performance and options and features. It’s not close . And the Escalade and navigator are 4 years apart design wise
I wanted the jeep wagoneer but a reliability rating below 65 is just a no f'ing way for me. The cadillac is driven by stuck up soccer mom's everywhere.. no thank you! This is perfect! It's functional not over hyped probably better reliability than the cadillac and definitely better than the wagoneer... ohh the wagoneer it could've been so nice..😢
