One thing to note when shopping for a Tesla. They provide estimated down payment and monthly payments, but it is far different when they factor in tax and other charges. Just a bit of bait-and-switch that was disappointing to experience as someone who was about to lease a Y. I backed out.

I love my Model Y - I never drove a crossover SUV and I can finally understand why it's a great size and the Y would be the most popular - it's got a lot of space yet drives like a car (and isn't as big as an SUV). The Y is also great value for performance plus all the cool Tesla tech.

Due to my previous work I did drive with most of European and Japanies cars incl. E premium class BMW Mecedes and Jag. At home, wive drives with Q60 Infinity. Yesterday I drove model Y performance. I know this is going to be my next car. I dont want other car brands. Y model got all what I need btw. Im 49.

Thanks for watching and for the feedback! Yeah it’s a good question, I’d say it’s a few years out - with the model 3 update and cyber truck launch, it’s not something i anticipate will launch anytime soon.

Hello, just a few questions if its okay? Does the Tesla Model Y have to be charged every night? since I don't have a home charger I was wondering if I can get away with charging the car 2-3 times a week or will this damage the battery long term? Also if you were to go away for an extended period of time like a holiday where your Tesla is left untouched then can this also damage the cars battery?

Hey there, so it depends on how much you plan on driving. If it’s less than 20 miles a day, then you don’t have to charge every day, I charge like once or twice a week. Supercharging exclusively doesn’t seem to damage the battery, a recent study showed so you should be ok. Teslas usually sip charge at most 1% a day if left untouched so you’d have to be gone quite some time for it to damage the battery. Hope this helps.

I’m a Audi q5 owner for 7 years and i’ve been in the market for a new q5 or Benz GLC300 until I test drove a model Y. Even though i love q5 and GLC is nice, they are far behind Tesla Y. Tesla is the future. It offers a lot more inside and out compared to q5 and GLC.

Any Tesla car has made its name on the power and speed of its motors. I would agree that that's the future; other than that, the inside (while looking great) is not sounding quite great. I can attest that there are quite a bit of squeaks squeals and rattles - to the point of annoying that you got no choice but live with it. It's that annoying. My take is that it's about poor design than poor workmanship. Tesla has been around for over a decade to manufacture this irritating quality, then it might take Tesla another decade to resolve it. So, take this into account when you're in the market for a new car.

I suppose they could argue that Pickup trucks win the sales game since F150 sold over 650K i think. Still imressive numbers for any manufacturer, never mind a pricier EV.

Experian data says that the F-150 is the 2023 sales leader in the US so far.....but Tesla is #2. If you look at year to year growth, there's no other vehicle that can match the Y. The numbers may dance around, but times they are a'changin'! The days of my first car, a Sunbeam Tiger, are coming to a close.

9:20, Does it deserve to be BEST car in the world ?: Best would be way to much of a stretch. Best selling in Tesla line-up...Maybe. Other than that, current design of the interior gives quite a bit of rattles, squeaks, and squeals. Design (and not necessarily Quality Control) has got a long way to go still.

So who ranked it the best car on the planet ? Tesla ? It sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. Design in some areas imo is just poor , the vehicle has no spare tyre which I rate as a must, no grab handles on the roof , too bad if you are physically challenged in some way or old , basic items even a cheap shit box 15000, dollar car will have. No info display directly in front of the driver , abject fail imo. As for the steering , I thought it was somewhat dull like the majority of electric steer systems on the market today. The fact your range is going to diminish every year, and at sometime in years to come the hugely expensive battery will need to be replaced . I’d probably concede they are good for an electric car , but they do come with compromises. We have a dual motor long range model 3 in the family fleet , Tesla do have some good points , but there are plenty of conventional cars I would rate better, that’s just me though.
