I love the All-New 2024 Chevrolet Traverse and especially the new interior design and the startup chime sound and I like it better than the previous generation Traverse 😍🔥
This looks amazing, and that interior is sweet. That has to be the most powerful base engine in this segment. I think this would be a solid contender to the Grand Highlander. The GH has 2 hyrbids trims and the hybrid max does give you more power and mpg, so it will be very interesting to see how they compare
@@Chris.laughton You’re the one that thinks a top of the line street oriented RS trim SUV with optional 22-inch upgraded wheels means there’s some “war on sidewall” as if we’re in 1948 and suspension technology won’t allow for a comfortable ride on a stylish 22-inch wheel. Drive around potholes not straight into them and you’ll be fine. For the folks who want more sidewall you don’t have to opt for an upgraded larger wheel, but sounds like you want manufacturers to stop making them for the people that do want them. 🤡
I really want this to be on my shortlist to replace my 2011 Honda Element later this year. But they ruined it by swapping the V6 for a Turbo 4. I’m out.
I agree, I still have my 1st gen Traverse (2014) and was really waiting for the 3rd gen because I figured they would make it look more boxy and masculine, but the turbo 4 ruins it for me. I know some will say "it puts out more power and torque"....I'm still not into it.
@@waled121 a lot of people are going to be pissed when they buy them and expect to have apple/android built in. My guess is dealerships and sales people will hold this information from the customers
Big mistake GM. You got rid of the V-6. The 4 cylinder Turbo will not cut it pulling a 3400 pound camper in the Ozark hills around Branson, MO. I have owned 5 of these since 2011. I probably got my last one in July of 2023 because I knew they had scrapped the V-6.
I looked and correct me if I'm wrong. Chevy moved the battery up front under the hood which I applaud them for. Guess, the have the space for it now. The current gen's is the back under a panel in the cargo area.
I think if the RS is the highest trim, GM is making sure that it’s not cannibalizing sales from the Acadia. Since the Acadia is coming back to the same size if you want value or sporty, you go for the traverse, if you want premium and luxury you go for the Acadia.
I feel like they almost nailed it with this SUV. The red portion in the rear trunk side window kinda bothers me and wish it was just the full window. I will say moving closer towards the Tahoe styling with the Traverse is a good move. Definitely a good looking SUV
Does anyone know if they put the same 8 speed trans in this as the one they put in the Silverado’s and Tahoes? I don’t want the shutter and torque converter problems.
This thing is going to be hugely problematic from a reliability perspective. Every single new vehicle Chevy has launched has been a complete disaster, from the C8 Corvette to the Silverado, and now the Blazer EV which has a stop-sale on it because it is such a pile of junk. This will not be any different. You'd have to be pretty dumb, or a glutton for punishment, to buy one of these in the first model year.
@@ramennoodlz just do some research on Google. It has been awful. Consumer Reports has put it on their least reliable vehicles list every single year since it first went on sale. My buddy sold his a couple weeks ago after less than a year of ownership… all kinds of problems on a brand new 2023 model.
@@jmc6000 yeah it does. The interior is nowhere near as nice as the traverse or anywhere near as high tech. And the second row seats aren’t child seat friendly
This does have Apple CarPlay. The Blazer EV (and other upcoming EV's) doesn't because they want you to use the built in maps that highlight the nearest charging stations or something. Weird decision, but that's what they said. Anyway, the gas models will still have CarPlay (thankfully).
The new traverse is very nice. Still rocking in my 1st gen 2017 version that has more cargo space than the 2nd and 3rd gen models. I still love the older one compared to the new one but nonetheless I can’t argue about either generation.
Boy, how i wish there was a better option than the current ICE Blazer to split the difference between the Equinox and the Traverse. Until there is, I still have to look at the Sorrento, Santa Fe or Highlander.
Good video. "this is an early preproduction car so I can't show you XYZ". Chevy and GMC are supposed to start production next month. Exactly when I they going to start showing what the final version is actually going to look like? I went to the San Diego autoshow around new years, they had the Traverse there. Locked and with the windows tinted so dark you couldn't see anything inside. Pretty pathetic.

I do my really understand why do other vehicles besides is the Traverse are removing Apple Car Play and/or Android Auto, which is ridiculous to hear that.
EPA ratings will be at most 1-2 mpg better than the old V6. And few will actually get EPA because they'll constantly be flooring it to get the turbo rush.
The C-pillar is weird and totally unnecessary. Since the 3rd row tends to be inherently claustrophobic exposing move window should have been an excellent way to relive a lot of that. Why would Chevy add a blind spot?
Totally agreed, the engine's sound it self can make you smile, rather than the performance, I think cheve will lose a wide share in the Cars market due to this 4 cylinder choice.
I'm going to tell you what's insane that is the fact that that big old vehicle has a 4-cylinder engine in it it's going to work so hard to move all of that weight you will not save on gas
Nice looking car, horrible, week 4 cylinder engine 🤮, this always must be in v6 engine or v8 to make it even more fun, Nissan pathfinder the best in the segment so far with its v6 engine
