I'm like somebody before me said I'm wondering if the Travers took something out of her or they were just easing her along because she's so good I still love her she's the greatest female racehorse and a very long time❤❤❤❤❤
The track was deep. When Lukas walked out onto the track he was surprised how deep it was. He told others when he saw how deep it was he was surprised how well STG handled it. So between being boxed in for a bit and the deep track, that may have affected her run.
THE QUEEN needs a nice little break until the Breeder's Cup races. Even though she had a bit of a rough trip but she still won the race, she didn't have her usual stretch kick. She looked pretty spent by the time she reached the finish line.
The times were very slow and closers all disappointed, but this one was never in doubt. TA was under wraps, exerted just enough to win a race she could have won by 10-plus lengths.
Everybody is saying she was weak today. I do not see it. She was just cruising. Brian was holding her back anticipating Power Squeeze to close sharply so he can see the run of Power Squeeze. That didn't materialized so he let her go. Brian and McPeek probably working out a stalking strat for her for Del Mar. I am curious to see what that late Brisnet speed for the final 1/16. That was impressive.
This was Thorpedo Anna's first "road trip" since early May. Kenny McPeek said that they just shipped her into Pennsylvania the day before this race. I think she was a little flat. Nothing to worry about at all.
Fillies don't bounce back as easy after a hard race(Travers). Anna is starting to SOUR. They should stop on her and not go to BC. She will lose,or worse, injure herself ..
There has been a lot of controversy over the condition of the tracks at Parx. The turf course was shut down after a horse stumbled in a hole and had to be put down. Maybe she didn't like the track.
Kenny McPeek said before the race that this was a rare road trip for Thorpedo Anna and they had only shipped her in yesterday, and that was his only concern.
I'm a huge fan. But she needs a little break. She got boxed in. The thing I worry about is the fact that the other jockeys know how to get her now. So her future races might be harder. She looks fit. But she also looks like she lost weight. Either way she still proved she still has the will to run and can over come obstacles. Can't weight to see her run with a little break. So glad she won.
@@terrybrown5854 I think Hernandez is a little too in love with saving ground on the rail. It was a winning play in the Derby for Mystik Dan but I think it cost Thorpedo Anna the Travers and almost cost her the race today.
I'm not a fan of ANY of the Parx racetracks. They treat their racetracks like an afterthought, because they make their big money with their casino gambling.
I'm sorry and it's not easy but the announcer is very subpar. No flow, inflection or originality in her race call. This is no female bias at all. The race call lacks an exciting call and sounds like it's read off a script. A very good announcers description can make you feel like you're there live.
You don't have to apologize because the announcer is a female. She really does STINK. There are some things that females aren't very good at in the sports world. ONE of them is being a horse racing track announcer. Another one is football play-by-play.
I really hope connections stop on her,and forget about BC. She had a super tough race in Travers, and clearly wasnt the same yesterday. Sometimes 3yo fillies never bounce back from a tough race vs males, like Rachel Alexandra after the 2009 Woodward. If she goes to Del Mar,she will lose, or worse, injure herself .
She Was Bottled up on Rail Behind Horses and Brian Hernandez Had to Fight Her a Bit....Once She Found Room She Was Coming to Win and Hernandez Did Not All Out Overextend Her...Gun Song at 40-1 Was a No Brainer For Me in The Exacta
@@TheProfessorOfLife As an old school handicapper I think that more wise. The school of thought is to put horses where they have the most chance of winning. I always thought in Classic dirt races putting fillies in with the boys was more of a gimmick to attract attention or of overzealous trainers or owners. Though she would be a contender in the Classic by no means will she win it.
She doesn't need excuses the other horses in the race had longer than she did between races and she went against males and earned a 111 in that race and still beat them
Who ever you are who is putting the races on youtube, do you read the comments???? How many times poor racing fans asked you not to put the names of the winners. You are destroying the enjoinment and the essence of the race. Don't be shi**y constantly. Unless you are not reading the comments.
