Did you know that large hanger had Links lunar lander simulator. It had a very large overhead disc that had a three dimensional map of the lunar surface and bays of computers. I had a college co op job there and was in awe of the engineering used to build it. This was in 1967.
@@fgpalm I read that the Link 🔗 simulator at the Smithsonian is being restored and will be on display in Binghamton. There is also some very interesting videos about the early days of the Trip Cities airport in the 1930s.
I love airplanes/airports. Never been at this event. Was at my friend's house in JC. I can't believe how fast tge boue angels flew! Incredibly loud. I can't imagine the sound there.
Great video! It was a great show. I got some fantastic pics. It was nice to meet you in person very briefly on our way out. I would have chatted a bit if we weren't all rushing to our cars and dying from the heat!
Thanks, I was away and had to miss this, so very nice to see this! One note, on chapter titles, I think you meant Navy Blue Angels, not USMC. I think they have one Marine pilot, but are considered Navy in general.
You are correct.... I looked at the wrong item on the schedule... Fat Albert is the C130 that carries the crew and equipment and is under the USMC. We didn't get to see that fly Sunday. Should have known better too... We just watched the Blue Angel documentary on Prime!
After being in military aviation , you have to be amused by some of the commentary and description in this video. But I get it. If your not into aviation .....
My brother and I attended the show was great, but we were unable to hear the announcer. They should’ve put an added more speakers throughout the crowd so we could hear the announcer maybe next year.
