I was fortunate enough to get to see the 2024 total eclipse and I didn't expect this but it became one of a handful of moments in my life that I will forever cherish. The reason I even made an effort to see it was listening to Star talk and hearing Neil's excitement about it. Thank you

Witnessing a total solar eclipse like there was in North America would have been so much fun…IF IT WASENT FLIPPING CLOUDY AND RAINY! 3 HOURS AWAY FROM THE PATH OF TOTALITY!!!!! I’m still mad about this my astronomy but will never forgive Mother Nature.

Youre right about that. Pompey was governor of spain, but yet still aloud to be in rome politicing, nobody cared. Alot of this has to do with before caessr left rome. He had a way of just forcing his agenda through. If its vetoed, he eould just call on an assembly of the people and see how they felt. Caesar forced all his legislation through

India ON THAT SAME DAY. We are going to see the biggest SUN of the year ( yes it was indian new year that day ) And since eclipse wasnt able to be seen from india 😢, we did see a giant sun 😊
I was in my car on lunch break literally just peaked out the window when it was completely dark wow so cool. really it was but i was at work in an area where it was perfect to see totality!!!! didnt care that much.
Its not the red, its yhe uniform. No soldier or govenor or anyone may enter rome as that. Pompey actually had to live outside the city walls because of this. The rubicon being the event horizon, the point of no return.
I fell asleep during totality and I'm never living it down till I travel and see another. Or I'll just wait another 129 till it comes back 😅 On a related note I'm done with alcohol! Made it 2-=30 minutes before totality and I took a nap and woke up when it was leaving! FML
