Careful, upgrade your oil pan to a baffled pan before you track, gr86 is notorious for starving the engine of oil while tracking. Toyota knows and they won't replace anything when it breaks, when not if.
Would be a great car that could turn right on the track without oil pressure drop and motor failure. Toyota/Subaru need to issue a recall quickly before their reputation is further sullied. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Jk5WTWoqt4.html
Keep in mind that the Toyota 86, upon its inception, was named after the AE86 and was designed to be a spiritual successor to that car in a sports car body. It's about time Toyota brings in a Trueno edition. ❤️
I tried to buy one but local dealer in SoCal is asking for $5k - 8k mark up. Toyota please sell your car directly to consumer so dealer can't take advantage of people who really want to buy your car.
None of these reviews are talking about the fact that the 2024 manuals are getting the Eyesight system. This ''upgrade'' has been confirmed for Japan and Canada so I'm pretty sure the US is getting it as well. Canada is too small a player to make special editions for so the US will also get the Eyesight downgrade. To the people that left deposits and are already waiting, how do you feel about the addition of the Eyesight system in 2024 models?
@@potatoninja6922ya I know, he used “FWD” in his thumbnail but has since fixed it 😆. Also sentence doesn’t make sense on purpose because it’s a type of meme 🤓
Manual is still very very popular in a lot of Europe. And most people buying this car would want a manual transmission. It's not that hard to understand.
@@Sevier7777 I gave up on this car about 3 months ago,the a local dealer was trying to sell me a 2023 one in Track Bred for $35k.I said 32k,they never contacted me again. These dealer's Mark-up will backfire on them so bad.🤣🤣🤣
@@lukesmialkowski7870 a 2023 and still 35k. Dealers use to have deals on the previous year vehicles after the next year's vehicles were announced. I guess that is a thing of the past now. All I see now is vehicles that are sitting around getting older and not selling. Dealers refusing to drop prices. Eventually a line will be crossed. Question is when...
yeaaah. it might have collector value and I guess that's what they're going for. the white is definitely a different color code and I can see the red being the same red from the 86. but those paints have been around and you can get them if you really want. the real trueno had fog lights for another thing
So I've been waiting for the brembo package since day one, now that its here they decide add fking EYESIGHT!! And its standard!! I had to quickly buy a 23 brz before they stopped production because the eyesight system takes all the simplicity out of this car. Its a nightmare to work on and there are many issues and expensive to replace! And before you say my engine will blow, just know I work at a subaru dealership and I trust subaru to make me whole. Ive seen it done day in, day out. Maybe toyota doesnt wanna clean up subarus mess but trust me when I say, if your cars under warrenty, they will fix it for free. I'll even throw in a dealer tip, if your cars getting warranty work done, make sure you ask for the top tech and/or find and give them an extra few hundred before the job because they WILL rush the whole entire thing and what was once free ends up costing you. I've had techs tell me how they will cut ever corner and half ass the whole thing because it starts to affect their bottom line & no ones going to take their sweet time when their bleeding.
Sorry, no. Toyota lightweight rear drive sports cars did NOT start with the Corolla and certainly not in 1979. I present to you the 1965 Toyota Sports 800 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Sports_800, and the 1967 Toyota 2000GT. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_2000GT
Boring. How come they can make a rav4 prime 300hp but cant do anything to a gr86. The new tacoma are getting hybrid manuals 340 hp but gr86 sports car get nothing but a new color design.
Such a nice car, shame the Subaru engine does as Subaru engines do and blows up ! Gr86 comes with a professional track day and if you use it youll destroy the car and Toyota wont replace anything because they know the oil pan has no baffles causing you to starve the engine while pushing it hard on the track, its a known issue and they wont help you or even stop you from breaking yoyr car. Shameful. This car is beautiful and amazing but needs a 2jz or the all Toyota 3 cylinder turbo from the gr corolla
Yea okey the hype but why they build this shit? People want a TRUE AE86 not this garbage, God someone can tell them to product again trueno with the original design? ☠️
