Padme is 5 years older than Anakin. They met when she was 15 and he 10. Now they are 19 and 24. Ahsoka is 14 currently. That kept in mind, the Clone Wars goes on for 3 years.
The 2nd Battle of Geonosis is essentially space D-Day combined with a bit of space Vietnam. Its often seen as one of the harshest and most grueling battles of the entire Clone Wars campaign.
Absolutely. Clone Wars is essential for everything else in animated Star Wars. It's the starting point with so many stories and plotlines that branch over into the other shows. It absolutely should be finished before you dive into the other shows, lol.
59:56 The Clone Wars show is happening after Episode 2 (Attack of the Clones). And The Clone Wars lasts like 3 years (around 3 years I think so at least) and then Episode 3 right after it.
@commandergree68 The clones were bred to be soldiers, though. On the other hand, the jedi were meant to be keepers of the peace and not soldiers. But 7 was unavoidable. All the non jedi non clone officers were volunteers as the Republic never enacted a mandatory draft. I believe that had something to do with the limited number of civilian officers.
@@tseh3 clones were bred to be grunts but I would argue that they do not make particularly good staff officers. They were made to be obedient and to follow, not to lead.
Yeah. If anyone deserves death, it's Mundi. I don't even think Bacara would have hesitated to kill him even if he wasn't forced by you know what so I don't spoil it for him
@@christopherarroyo4478 It was at least part of the old cannon and the way i see it is old cannon is still cannon until proved otherwise especially with Dave Filoni adding in a lot of the old cannon again
@@christopherarroyo4478 unfortunately yes. Mundi was an exception to the marriage rule only because males of his kind had a 1 in 20 chance. He had 5 wives and 7 daughters but when they were all killed, he didn't care and said it was the will of the force
Ok, so Barriss is an extremely important character, but we won't be seeing her for a while. What's important is that she will become a literal sister to Ahsoka. She will calm Ahsoka's impulsiveness. Ahsoka, on the other hand, will teach her something equally important. We've seen that Barriss struggles with creativity. Well, Ahsoka is a master of improvisation. You rightly pointed out that Luminara made a mistake by not even attempting to search for her Padawan. This extremism is presented by Luminara in 3 points: - Ignore emotions (Ignoring attachment to Barriss) - Focus on realities (We still have a mission to accomplish) - Fight evil at any cost (I'll sacrifice Barriss for victory) 1:09:15, the last scene brutally describes this relationship. Anakin waited the whole time for Ahsoka to wake up. Luminara isn't there. This is antipathy. Barriss will learn that Luminara abandoned her to die to teach Anakin a lesson. Let's say she won't be thrilled. She's ready to sacrifice her own life for the greater good because she cares most about the good of others. She'll slightly distance herself from Luminara because she'll see that her master made a mistake. You could even say that her relationship with Ahsoka is built on what Luminara did. Plus, from a slightly deeper perspective, Barriss has war trauma. Her personality is very sensitive. After the first battle of Geonosis, she had trouble sleeping and obsessively wanted to help the wounded. As you can imagine, the second battle of Geonosis and everything that happened here will only deepen this mental wound. (In my opinion, she simply should never have been on the front line. It's okay if you're not able to cope with such realities, especially if you're a child.) It's also worth noting that Barriss, like Ahsoka, questions the sense of this war. 43:50, let's take this scene as an example. When Ahsoka mentions the explosion of the factory, Barriss lowers her head. It's not just the destruction of the factory, but also the fact that hundreds or maybe even thousands of innocent Geonosians who lived under that factory were killed. She doesn't know if it was right to destroy that factory. Okay, it will mean that the Separatists won't have as many droids, so fewer people will die on the battlefield, but those Geonosians are alive, and they had to die for a concept that Barriss hates. "Necessary evil for the greater good." Someone has to die so that others can live. Observing the Jedi's crimes, Barriss concluded that there is no dark and light side. She concluded that there is only the Force, and it depends on the user's intentions how they will use it. And you can actually agree with her because what's the difference between Mundi and his flamethrowers and Count Dooku? Both have evil intentions because they wanted to take lives.
I wish you were wrong but that the unfortunate truth. While I agree with and align with the Sith more than I do the jedi in this day and age, I do have soft spots for kids like Barriss and Ahsoka. Barriss was the only padawan other than Anakin to survive Geonosis the first time and she was traumatized by it. This didn't help and it pushed her out of her comfort zone of helping and caring for others like a jedi should. I honestly don't blame her for what is to come as she sees every reason why the jedi of now are failures compared to the jedi order from 3000 years. They need the sith to keep balance. They are Ying and they cannot exist without the Sith aka Yang
@@DarthRevan8976 She is the hero of the book Rise of the Red Blade. As for a specific list, you can probably find it somewhere because there weren't many survivors.
@@DarthRevan8976 That's not what balance is. Balance in the force is not a literal balance as in equal on both sides. Balance is the force in its most healthy state. The Sith are harmful to the force and actively disrupt balance. As long they exist there can be no balance in the force. This is why Anakin brought balance to the force by destroying the Sith in ROTJ. The Jedi and the Sith are not yin and yang. The Jedi existed long before the Sith. The Jedi Order was formed almost 20,000 years before the Sith Order.
You can watch episode 1 to 4 of tales of the jedi because there about dooku but the rest is about ahsokas future and should be watched after clone wars.
Fun personal fact: I named an evil elf king in one of my D&D games Clovis after Clovis from this episode. They are completely different characters in terms of appearance and personality but I just thought the name sounded cool xD
Not going to lie, as a little kid, the brain invader segment terrified me. Now, I look back on my younger self with pity realizing that I missed out on one of the best segments of the show. 😂😂
The reason why there right is because it literally spoiles everything so you kinda have to you'll definitely appreciate it in the future keep up the great content 👌
26:26 you hear how happy buddy was back turned to the enemy and everything all giddy the bombers are here if i would be any clone in this episode i think i would be him or one of those clones who gets blown up in the landing part
In a clone wars episode i think if you see battle droids you know it will probs have some funny stuff in it, especially when you put jar jar and the droids in the same scene
ATTACHMENT is forbidden for jedi! That's why jedi don't start families and can't form relationships with anyone. Of course, attachment is a human trait, but jedi must try to avoid it at all costs. That's why it's not easy to be a jedi, their code and rules are difficult to follow. But consider this ATTACHMENT to Padme and the fact that Anakin could not come to terms with her possible loss was actually the main factor that pushed him to the dark side. That's why Jedi shouldn't get attached, they shouldn't have things they're afraid of losing, they can't get carried away by emotions, they can't take revenge, and they can't do many other things. When it comes to following the rules and code of the Jedi, Anakin was a terrible Jedi. He was, of course, incredibly powerful and deadly both in combat and as a commander, but he constantly broke and violated the rules that should guide jedi.
When it comes to watching clone wars along side the other shows, the order of episodes can get really confusing, especially when the other shows reference stuff that you haven’t seen yet. So I recommend focusing on just clone wars until you finish it, then you can watch the other shows. Bad Batch is a direct sequel to Clone Wars, as is Rebels (though Rebels is much later in the timeline), so that’s why it’s recommended to not watch them until you finish Clone Wars.
Absolutely Not. Star wars resistance to my knowledge is one of those shows that is not canon and ties itself to the worst movies in Disney history aka the Sequel Trilogy
To answer your open question at about 7:15, me and my partner are both poly so my reaction would basically be the opposite as Anakin’s I’d be like “Bet. Awesome. Let’s invite him to play some D&D. Maybe if you two hit it off and if y’all are into it I could join, if not that’s cool too. Be sure to ask him about those things the Jedi wanted to know, good luck and have fun babe ;3”
That episode about trust really highlights how big of a failure the jedi order became since the high republic era when the sith were supposedly made extinct and Luminara is the perfect example. Lack of attachment, arrogance, no care as to whether your student lives or dies
You're right on that first part but not fully on the second part. The ideal Jedi is not meant to have attachments. Jedi due to their powers cannot afford to have attachments. Their loyalty should be to the force and the force alone. Luminara did care if Bariss lived or died, but as a Jedi should, she was prepared to let her go in the event that she did die. Anakin is the polar opposite which makes him a bad Jedi. He is unable to let go of the people close to him to the point where he literally wants to control fate. So no, Luminara is not a very good example.
@@tseh3 you're not entirely right either. Yes, Anakin cannot let go of those closest to him, but that's not always a bad thing. I understand not having attachments as a master/teacher but that apprentice is your responsibility. Like when Ahsoka was kidnapped on Felucia and Anakin refused to give up on her. That's the opposite of Luminara who didn't even blink an eye or think to search for Barriss after they were buried. Like at least make an effort to try and find your student who by the way is a child. Even if she still died despite you looking for her, then that's understandable
@DarthRevan8976 It's not a bad thing for an ordinary person to have such attachments. But for a jedi, it is pretty bad. This was the same lesson that Yoda and Obi Wan were trying to teach Luke in TESB. If someone's death served a greater purpose then you should honor that death and not try to bend the force to your will. Ahsoka and Bariss chose to make a sacrifice for a greater purpose that they knew might result in their deaths. Luminara, while she was not at all happy about it, understood that their sacrifice was for a greater purpose. And thus honored it. Anakin on the other hand did not see this greater purpose and could only think of the absence of his padawan. Ultimately, this was a lesson Anakin didn't learn until ROTJ when he chose to sacrifice himself for a greater purpose. That being the destruction of the Sith and more importantly the life of his son.
I agree with both of you but I like to add on for those who hate munde and luminara. Should you be angry at the order specifically Yoda since he was alive for 800 years during the Republic and the past Republic so he have the power to change rules and teach others but did not. Yes luminara and munde is like this and not care about attachments because of the Jedi order. Let not forget that these people were just kids who got brought to the order to be Jedi away from their family their masters taught them Yoda taught them even their masters master taught them it been like this for generations
So idk if someone said yet or not but to let you know where this series takes place with the movies. The Phantom Menace (1) & Attack of the Clones (2) has already happened. Attack of the Clones started the Clone Wars which is what you are watching now! Revenge of the Sith (3) takes place after this series and is the end of the Clone Wars. but I hope this clarifies where this show takes place in the whole Star Wars/movie timeline. This is just the basic idea of where this series goes!
This is probs gonna take you like maybe a year and a half to watch all the way to season seven😂 unless you skip to season 7 and personally season 7 is my fav
I’m telling you this show is fire and only gets better and another fire show is Transformers prime I believe you mentioned you didn’t wanna watch it before or I saw that on a video’s comments before but I think you’d love it 🫡 best transformers you’ll ever see
