Even though it’s not as cool-looking as pull-ups, this exercise is still the 2nd most challenging and effective pull bodyweight exercise that you’re probably not doing!
Plus, combined with Pull-ups and chin-ups, it will give your back, shoulders and arms a fuller, more symmetrical and muscular look!
Lastly, including this exercise in your training-repertoire can also decrease the risk for overtraining injuries!

Anthony I actually think full body weight rows look cooler than pull-ups 🤣 love the progressions, as usual you make the difficult achievable. The bootcamp is amazing, I’ve been doing it since last September and I’d never go back to a gym now, waking up early before work and doing a workout in the fresh air sets you up perfectly for the day! If anyone has any questions I’m happy to share my experience (it’s all so positive) and anyone on the fence - come and join us. Your workouts are mapped out for you, Anthony responds daily and will help you with any issues or tweak the program individually for your needs and there’s a nice gang of us and we have some fun, for me the main thing is, it helps you stay accountable!

I'm glad you're highlighting this exercise, Anthony. It is very difficult and I've never been able to do more than half what I can do for pull-ups. Thanks, I'm going to work this one back into the rotation. And I actually think it looks pretty cool. :-)

Feet elevated inverted row are my go to back exercise. I don’t do pull-ups anymore and instead do jackknife pull-ups to save my elbows and shoulders.

@@BodyweightMuscle I’m 26 but have issues with my elbows and shoulders after going too high frequency with pull-ups a while back.
@XTheSpartanX7
@XTheSpartanX7 2 года назад
@morgan1027 I hear you. I basically just need a vertical pull movement which I can do in higher rep ranges and jackknife pull-ups fit that well. It also hits my lats a lot better similar to rack chins popularized by Dante Trudel.

These seem very hard on the abs and not in a good way when I do them
@BodyweightMuscle
@BodyweightMuscle 2 года назад
Hi Jim, of you focus on the tips for stability in the video it isn't hard on the abs at all, most of the stabilizing will be done by the shoulders
@Mbq-sh6bj
@Mbq-sh6bj 2 года назад
I stopped doing these because I've seen some do it with the torso more horizontal (like in the front lever tuck) than how I do it, which makes it seem much more like a row / horizontal pull. The way we do it, it's like a bent over barbell row that isn't very bent over or (worst case scenario) almost an upright row (with neutral grips), becoming more of a shoulder / shrugging exercise instead of back exercise. Amongst those using free weights, this appears acceptable. Not to me. Instead, I try to do front levers (presently not very well) and some form of rows with feet still on the floor / a chair. Hopefully at some point, these two exercises will lead to a more pure inverted row. By the way, how you do it is roughly how I do it. And it shows that even with a less-horizontal / "pure" angle of the torso, the lats are still contracting (I remember feeling them when I did it your way in the past). And you're not nearly as vertical as I thought. So I probably am not either.

Hi MBQ, try keeping your shoulders back and down (away from the ears) and focus on the shoulder blade squeeze (retraction) at the top for more middle back activation
