We are all in the clutches of maya and pretending that we love God. There is no pretense in His Love. When our mind and intellect desperately or with great enthusiasm surrender to Him and sheds tears of Love and longing to meet Him,then only God comes to grace us and frees us from maya. @@vrindaneel2172 Consciousness is the quality of a soul (an expression of the soul), just like heat is a quality of fire. We cannot take away the intrinsic qualities of an object, similarly, no one can take away the intrinsic quality of a soul - consciousness. Consciousness is independent of the mind and intellect. The mind (or "antahkaran") is a subtle machine given to the soul as the soul is 'akarta', meaning it doesn't perform any work. The mind and intellect are essentially two different expressions of the one mind. When the mind creates desires, hankering, etc. it's called mind, and when the same mind takes decision - this is right; this is wrong, then it's called intellect.

Yay! MMC Day #10! Almost halfway into the challenge! So much powerful learning, unpeeling of our own mind, root-cause of the mental afflictions, understanding happiness and our soul's intrinsic nature to seek happiness & why, Desire as the root cause of so many problems and solution on what to do about our desires...So much has been covered. Spiritual Journal and reflection time, help for sure. Kids in the family are also keeping a spiritual journal and have their reflection time, discussion time. Jai Ho for 50% of Journey with MMC! We promise to God, in the womb, that we will do his bhakti and not get entangled in this material world, but we become enveloped by maya as soon as we enter the physical world - our focus turns to 'Mom, Dad, sister, brother', etc and we turn our backs away from God. We must do continuous chintan about God so that we do not turn our backs away from Him.

Thank you swami ji. God is everything and everywhere. If we think that because we did so much Sadhana and seva, we should now realise god, we are wrong. It is not a business transaction. Therefore we should not even have this feeling that we are doing it for grace but for the happiness of god and guru. And then whatever our guru and god desire, will anyway happen.
