I can't tell you how my game is proved after I started watching your channel. After watching your videos I have won 3tournaments in New Delhi thk u so much to start this channel love you both
I practice much but don't have a coach to give me tips like this. I'm also a bit "older" (29), but I want to see how far I can go... I don't think I have peaked yet. These tips are invaluable for someone in my position. Thank you both!
Hope you all enjoyed this singles tutorial! 🏸 And a huge thank you to England's number 1 mens singles player, Toby Penty, for helping us out with the demos!
Always excited to watch the videos ! super tutorial with this too.. With the increase in the number of cases in the place where I live, we have stopped going out to the badminton courts. Hope we get there soon... Looking forward for more videos as usual!
Great video guys, really well explained (love the darts reference) and also glad you pointed out that throwing isn’t the only way to practice these :-)
thanks a lot sir am currently an under 15 player and i find it difficult to return the net shot because mot of the times my opponet taps it due to the height or the shuttle mostly dosent even cross the net... now i guess after seeing you video i have got some ideas and will practise it and try to execute it while playing and yes of course thank u sir and mam for ur effort in making videos and helping us improve it means alot :))
Thanks for another great video tutorial. Will you do a video on how to return a spinning net shot? And may be return the shot with spin. Why is the video aimed at singles players and not doubles as well? I was thinking it might be due to doubles being played at a faster pace. But want to clarify my understanding. Finally got a court booked and will enjoy trying some of the shots from your videos. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday 😊
Thanks Darren! ☺️ Yes we want to cover all of these topics but they’re quite detailed so thought it would be too much information for 1 video! Yes generally it’s because of the pace - it’s aimed at singles players because of the height of the spin - doubles players usually can’t use the higher spin as their opponent will be tight onto the net, so the doubles net cord is aimed at crossing the net as quickly as possible! Hope this makes sense? And enjoy your time back on court 🥳😆
Great video as always guys. I have a request for something that doesn't seem to have been covered on YT; the jump DROP. Plenty of videos on jump smashes but no tutorials on the drop version.
4:00 oh hey kento also covered this on his channel! nice to see different versions of it covered i actually confused the dead net shot with the "doubles net drop" you covered, turns out you are spinning the racket towards the net for the doubles net drop?
Awesome video as always ! I think you'll (or should ^^) use Kento's clip in every video for the next year ;-). For the difference between the "in to out" or "out to in", I have been told that it also depend on what your opponent is playing, if he plays "in to out" you better play "in to out" and the other way around ... do you think it makes sense ?
Haha that might be a bit difficult but I'm sure we'll try our best! We definitely wouldn't say that should always be the case, it of course does depend where the shuttle is spinning and you want to counter this spin - or even let the shuttle drop so that the spin has gone from it. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the tutorial! I have one question is the in-to-out and out-to-in technique just a matter of preference? Does one way generate more spin or is the out-to-in when you want to keep the shuttle inside the lines?
Yes it’s mostly a matter of preference - when speaking with Raj Ouseph he prefers the dead net and used to use that most of the time, whereas Toby prefers the in to out net shot!
I don't play singles much but this is very helpful video. Spin will definitely be useful in doubles I guess where I play 😁 and damn that Momota video again... 😂
Great explained as always! But, when the opponent plays the dead net shot, and the shuttle is so much parallel to the net, then how can we lift as well as send the shuttle to the opponent's side ?
@@BadmintonInsight welcome! The absence of a proper full double legged jumping smash video on youtube in my opinion will increase the number of views as there are alot of people looking to learn it! :) Thank you so much! You guys are the best! I've massively improved my doubles game in less than a year thanks to you guys!
Thanks for suggesting a video on the jump smash! In case you missed it we actually released this last Sunday on our channel, you can find it here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Seony5Owsb8.html 😀 Hopefully it answers the questions you had and is useful, if not please let us know anything else you're unsure of!
@@BadmintonInsight thank you so much! Really appreciate the video but I'll have to save and try to learn it at a later time as it's still lockdown in my country 😭
Hi may i know why there is a difference in doubles and singles net shot? I feel like the doubles net cord and the dead net shot are the hardest to return, is there a reason we use the other techniques instead?
Can you do tutorial on middle court shot for left and right. For example, if our position on the center of the court, how to move to left and right. I find it difficult to make a shot for backhand
I am a beginner and if a do the in and out or the out and in shot, I'd always miss it. Can you guys please make a video of the normal net shot without the spin for beginners like me.plz
We get ours directly from Victor, but you can get Victor products from www.TRMEsports.com and you can use the code “BADMINTON INSIGHT” for 10% discount! 😁
How to practice with with a partner? I find its very hard to return because me and my partner will both spin the shuttle making it very difficult to get.
I am 10 years old, my goal is to become a world badminton player, I want to replace ANTHONY GINTING in the future, thank you for helping, greetings Candidates for Atlit Jakarta
