Hey Buddy. Try this; "A piece finds / pieces find". Kinda like an equation (no biggie).

1. Build the foundation (with all your pieces, ASAP, fight for the centre and protect your king, while creating threats to your opponent). 2. Start with most active opportunities. Checks. Captures. Threats. Attempt counterattacks 3. You NEVER play alone. 4. Try to make multipurpose moves.

@@AdityaP-i8h thanks! I feel the same sometimes! I played the most horrible tournament in years this weekend. Just make a little break and then come back with the new energy

All this sounds good but how do I explain it to my 5 years old son? He likes chess but I don’t know how to find training for his age ???

Well, it all works step by step, not all together. You can show him this video though, it should help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8NBrhMIrorI.htmlsi=e7cxJ3znIBN36GtE

Chess is very important to me -- and not for the reasons many would assume. I don't care about it as a game. I am concerned with chess because I believe it can teach one to think systemically, to foresee the consequences of one's actions, and to anticipate the responses of others. We live in a complex world. When one thinks too much in an overly simplistic and linear way, they are destined to suffer. Chess forces a discipline upon us where we are required to consider our circumstances in a more expansive, realistic, and adaptive way.

Had to give up on this video. Every other chess channel has the board on the left and it just seems more comfortable for the eyes. Also, you've decided to give yourself 60% of the screen, a bit egotistical.
@journeytograndmaster
@journeytograndmaster Час назад
Sorry you felt that way. I somehow never thought of left/right, it just felt natural this way. I will check it out and potentially change, thank you. As for egoism, I don't really get it. I do this video (as well as all others) for you, to help you. And it's free. How can it be egoistical? It's just that the board is quadratic and so space is left. Also, so that I can fully explain everything to you.
