Join Dr. Tyler Standifird and six-time World Long Drive Champion, Jason Zuback, are jumping into the vertical component of ground reaction force to generate a good and powerful swing. Everyone can generate vertical force, as our body is trained to do so and fight against gravity, but the secret is explained by respecting the 3 key component for this vertical force peak production: its timing, its magnitude and where below your feet you generate your max vertical peak of force.
In this tutorial, Dr. Tyler and Jason Zuback details the 3 key components to maximize the effect of vertical gournd reaction force, and drive you to some drills to develop your capacities for successful use of vertical force!
You’ll also discover how to well synchronize arms and legs action with vertical force for a swing, which is not singular!

Scotty Scheffler uses this clearly when driver in hand as well as fairway woods and longer irons

Wow I'm really loving the explanation for the "anti-jump" pattern. It helps me to think of it more like a superhero taking off to fly. I'm dying to get to a trackman to see some numbers

Great video showing how you can do a lot of work to improve the vertical force.

These are great, how many reps of each should we be doing?

I want to suggest that you do the feet-force graphic from the front of the player just like the video. I would make it easier to look at the video and see the ground forces

.. could this be done with irons to a lesser degree to gain distance with the irons or would it ruin the accuracy and low point

I'm very curious about a caveat here. I have a theory that my clubs are too long which is making me delay the vertical force. And your experience have you ever seen that be an issue? So for example my clubs feel too long so I can't just fully extended impact cuz I feel like I never going to catch the club up yet when I choke down dramatically like three or four inches I can time it perfectly but the only issue is I don't have any speed. But the contact is amazing in the ball flight is amazing it's just much shorter. Is it possible that equipment would completely throw off your timing is my question?

..eh go see a fitter, no?

@@cdunne1620 "fitters" are sales people not actual fitters. I have already gone to 4 different fitters and it was an absolute waste of time!

@@jacobr4558 .. well buy a second cheaper set and cut them down and regrip them and find out and then come back on here and let us all know how you got on. It’s a very bad situation if you can’t find an expert fitter but anyway good luck, I look forward to hearing back from you🙄
