In my opinion, this body style s1krr is better looking compared to the current 2019+ models. I currently own a k8 Suzuki gsxr 1000, and I'm probably never going to get rid of that bike but definitely want to add a 2016-18 s1krr and a naked bike and/or a cruiser for longer rides

I still have a 16 S1K Premium package n never a motor issue,best all around bike imo.My R1M that was totaled,did make me get a GYTR just because it's such a great race bike.Beautiful S1K,keep the vids comin

Planning to get the same gen 2017, grew up watching it winning the Macau GP, and that asymmetric front kept growing on me and it's such an iconic look.

I have the 2015 S1KRR, and have about 23.000km on it, no issues or anything. Start right up, runs like a charm and ride likes a... Can't describe it, just love it so much. Never selling her what so ever!

Ive got over 30,000 on mine as well and still love it,will never get rid of my 14 bmws1000rr,

2023 s1000rr here and its been flawless, great bike so far....i say its a playstation on wheels. 7k miles without a hiccup so far.. thank you for the great review

Have a little over 17k miles on my 2022 S1K. Never a issue. Full exhaust, Sprint air filter, Brentuned since first service.

I have a 06 gsxr 1000 that I got in 2007 with 20,000 miles on her and have had no issues her. Have flashes and full yosh exhaust

Back home in OP and gave the CBR X2 RR a bath. Went out for a 90 min ride and no chit i smiled for 90 mins straight. Just love the Honda as I haven’t had a single problem with it. I know it’s not considered a “Sexy” bike but, I think it’s a good all around bike. Good Vid buddy, stay safe….

I have a 2023 S1KRR that I bought 1/26/24 brand new. Taking it in next week for the 6000 mile service. Have had zero issues so far. Replaced the OEM tires at 5k miles (don't judge me. I paid for the whole tire, I'm using the whole tire) with Diablo Rosso IV's and they make it feel so good. I ride "fast" and take corners etc. but I don't do wheelies on it (I'm scared and it's a $26k bike). Idk I'm sure I'll run into some stuff later on. I definitely need to tune it though. The dead spot feels awful when I'm trying to actually do a pull. Great video as always.

Well … even here in Germany when you at the second hand market the 2016/2018 bikes are holding their prices very very well and there is not many of them for sale , but there is plenty of the new ones available 😅 Ride safe 🙌🏻

Hi my friend, saludos from Tijuana BC México,I do have a BMW 2013 tricolor the white, Blue & red and has 13,000 mill has been great bike all around,no problems in nothing 🎉 .I have it costum like your bike ,rims headlights all most the same light s ,blue sprocket s ,blue 🔵 chain ⛓️ , people see it on the streets and still gets a lot of compliments, and I have a Ducati monster 2017 821 the same a little of work here and there ,but has not even been close to the rehability of the BMW all ways in the shop .so this bike to is one of the best in ridden 🎉.

Great reason to have a collection of 4 bikes that you enjoy the most each with their unique strengths, and weaknesses for different riding situations if you uave the storage space for it. Let this bike be the first of your four bike collection just for the reliability alone.

I've owned my 2018 S1000rr for 3.5 years now, up to 37k KM (23k miles). It's been the most reliable bike I've ever owned, not a single issue. Every now and again, I'm tempted to buy the 2024 S1k.. but I feel they took a step back aesthetically (fairings aren't as aggressive, no tail light, too much cheap plastic around the tank). And I see major reliability issues posted on Facebook groups constantly. Hopefully they make some improvements in 2025, it would still be hard to move on from the Gen 3 though (the GOAT).

Wait-- people think these bikes are ugly? I think their asymmetrical headlights are incredibly unique! It adds a bit of character to the bike. Another thing is that, sure, new technology is cool, but you only need the basics. I personally just want something incredibly reliable and fun, which a lot of folks seem to be missing those key points. Again, tft displays, etc. are cool and all, but it's also another piece to replace if it ever goes out.

I rode a 2016 s1000xr for 45k miles. I had some initial issues during the warranty period (these were covered), and never had issues after that until I sold it.

FastFlow, how many miles do you think a bmw s1000rr engine will last while keeping up the regular bike maintenance? Do you think 75K or 200k..etc..?

If you want a new one get it because they are just as reliable. My 21 has 23,000 on the clock and has never been in the shop. I did replace the timing chain tensioner recall and perform all of the routine maintenance myself. I commute 120 miles 4 days a week and beat the living crap out of it almost every weekend. I've had two issues, first was my fault as I didn't install the spacers included with the oil cooler guard and it rubbed a hole in the cooler creating a leak. Second was the oil/coolant pump that would weep when engine was over 200°. I easily solved this by switching to engine ice coolant and turning the motor off if stuck in traffic, hasn't lost any coolant since, about 5,000 miles. I feel that the k67 does run warmer than the electrical components in the head can handle. I.E. the coil packs and shift cam solenoids. But if you ditch the stock coolant and keep it moving so air will flow then these parts will last as well. I will update if something changes but don't forsee any issues.

That is why i am afraid of getting the newer s1k because of the water pump issue. That's why i started to more look at the k67's s1k's

I have a 2015 r1m no issues just the battery and that’s it tbh. I have a 2020 s1k and that’s been a headache

I have a 2019 bmw s1kR & While i love it, there are certain things that arent so great about it, & i do wish i got the rr instead.

Bro most ppl think 30k miles on a bike is alot, in reality it's not at all as long as you maintain it like you do they will go to 100k. Ppl start neglecting then when they get to 30 or so that's why they go to shit.

U have the best s 1000 so keep it. I have an 05 Zx10r and trust me. I’m walking these new bikes down with flying colors. As they say tho it’s the rider and I ain’t got all these new electronics u have to really know how to ride so I like some of the new bikes but bc I feel like these new bikes be cheat codes to the game. Naw much respect to the riders who don’t care about these new trophy bikes that ain’t that fast

Call me crazy my 1st bike was a 100cc and few years on that and then a 2 year gap now I can afford busa or s1000rr and I don’t want to buy 600cc as a bridge bike. Please don’t give lecture. I am seeking advice on only 2 factors handling and cost of maintenance/reliability for both busa vs s1rr please suggest, I live in Melbourne and I want to get it before summers

The old beemerz are better more reliable than the new BMW m1k that's for sure its problem after problem with the new BMWss 😮

I also have a 2018 S1000RR, had the same experience than you. Not a single problem. Hard to justify getting rid of this bike for something new, but worse. So I won't do it.
