One of the most versatile football formations and perfect for teaching young players the game due to the numerous triangles around the pitch and the ease of short passing options for every player when on the ball. The Dutch progress their 4v4 play from early childhood and work their way up through 7v7 and 9v9 to the full game. Can also quickly change to a 4-4-2 (often in BPO), a 4-2-3-1(narrowing the pitch and counter attacking), 3-4-3 (adding numbers in midfield), and the 3-2-5 ( controlled build up in the final third) as shown in the video. Thanks for the upload, I really enjoyed it.
Thank you, Angus. A great comment and I certainly think can still learn a lot from possession-focused countries/formats in regards to our youth football in the UK. Transitions from in and out of possession shapes is something I'm going to cover soon on my channel. Appreciate the insightful feedback. Thank you. Barks 👍
