My guess is that you guys haven't used the BluDri device or had several devices shipped to you. I had to order several to get one that didn't arrive broken, and even then, the runtime meter recorded time plugged in and not motor running time. Did you look to see if there were gaps in the filter and cover gaskets? Did you check if the gasket stayed flexible versus crushing after a couple uses? These questions are valid and worthy of test. On the other hand, the Dri Eaz unit was one of the best designed units I've ever run across. Look at how they do the gasketing, as they do it right, with the right material.
